The Chiefs are headed back to the big game. Fifteen other AFC teams just could not stand up to the not-so-secretly amalgamated superforce that is the Taylor Swift, the NFL, the referees, the almighty dollar, and also Patrick Mahomes. The devil's dilemma is that only a team commissioned by Satan himself stands in the way of a historic Super Bowl super feat. Get ready for a good time to be had by none. In other news, Jerry Jones makes another nepotism hire, and still even more news for Cowboys fans.

On Monday near Fronton Texas, Border Patrol agents were seen on video taking fire from heavily armed persons suspected of being members of Mexican cartels. This fire was taken right as a group of migrants were attempting to enter the country illegally by crossing the Rio Grande. Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with drone deployment, which captured footage of the gunmen attempting to retreat back to Mexico. Only a single shot was returned at the Mexicans. Was it the opening to a much bigger and more violent about to explode on the border?

Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary held her first conference yesterday and she was a hit, knocking it out of the park and power, grace and poise. The issued a statement directly from the President Trump which explained the drones which were hovering ominously in New Jersey late last year which took over the news cycle, and then vanished without explanation. But does her answer satisfy you? Or is it a sign that maybe this still politics as usual: winning is more important than transparency? America's culture of 'whateverism' has already moved on it but it says something about what's to come.

Trump promised to declassify the remaining JFK files, and now that plan is in motion via executive order. Although most documents held by the National Archives since 1992 have been released, some 14,000 remaining documents are set to come to light. If the murder of the 35th President was anything other than the act of a lone gunman, surely these are the documents which will end 62 years of conspiracy theories. Both Biden and Trump had agreed to release these before, but both withdrew those actions on account that the damage to national security outweighed the public interest. Many Americans disagree-- but how can they be certain?
Files on the 1968 assassination of Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. are also set for release. -
On IG and other platforms, CBSSports released a bar graph that shows total numbers of penalties called for opponents of all 32 teams, and the Chiefs ranked 4 from the bottom. The implication is that the Chiefs do not have many calls from refs in their favor. However it is not the NUMBER of penalties called against the other teams, it's the TIMING of those calls (coming on 3rd downs that failed to convert) and the QUALITY of those penalties (see Week 16 and Divisional Playoff vs Texans) that show the Chiefs are definitely getting assistance from officiating.

The Buckeyes may have lost the big game to the Wolverines but they have a fine consolation prize: the national championship win over Notre Dame. Meanwhile the Chiefs went 7-0 with their favorite referee Clay Martin to send home the Texans; the Eagles edged out the Rams in a wild snowbound ground pound game for the ages. Washington put down the Lions in the upset of the season. Will a Rookie go for the Lombardi? Or will the NFL scriptwriters play spoilers?

She didn't show for Carter's funeral, she didn't show for Trump's inauguration alongside Hillary or Laura. She shared a quote on Instagram-“The time is always right to do what is right.” This was a quote from MLK Jr, but was it in reference to the civil rights leader or something else? Some say she was taking a strong Anti-Trump stance. But with Barack in attendance, is it anything other than sour grapes? Others speculate doom on the horizon for the Obama marriage?

President Biden pardoned five members of his family as well as Liz Cheney, Anthony Fauci and General Mark A. Milley. Biden expressed 'belief' in the justice system, and then acted as though he had no confidence in it at all. Lefties will say Biden was protecting his family from reprisals, while Trump supporters will point out that their man has been the victim of weaponized courts for years. Without self awareness or irony he spoke about how politically motivated investigations destroy the wellbeing of people caught in the crosshairs-- where Trump has spent the last four years.

Kiefer and Jon react to the wildcard round of football. The Bills blast past the Broncos while the Rams shove off the Vikings. The Redskins go deep and the Eagles put away the Pack. Los Angeles Police arrest looters dressed up as firefighters. These looters and other homeless are setting more fires to perpetuate the crisis-- can they be stopped? Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California posted a link where people can donate to relief efforts in Los Angeles, but as it turns out it redirects donors to ACT BLUE, a political action committee for the Democrat Party. Meanwhile the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearing is in progress, but since he has never worn a dress, will Democrats give their approval? Any moment now the Supreme Court could rule on banning TikTok in the US-- Will Elon Musk rush in at the last second to make an app-saving buyout?
-
On Friday, the Supreme Court heard arguments regarding banning the app from nearly 170 million domestic users. TikTok will be banned in the United States on Jan. 19, but there are two potential routes to get the app to remain operating in the nation.
There are only two ways one of the fastest-growing apps can remain available in the U.S., but both would need to occur before the ban on Jan. 19. -

"Hold them accountable," that's too much for kool-aid drinking Californians to hear. They also told me to worry about my own state and mind my own business. Los Angeles, you should be used to being looked at, and frankly, criticized. Let's talk about what's gone wrong in the 'leadership' of Los Angeles, what feelings and inclusion matter more than emergency preparedness and response, and why it's the people at the bottom who will pay for the incompetence of those at the top.

Texas Representative Kay Granger hadn't voted on a bill since late July. Since then, her voice has been set to voicemail and her office has been boarded up. She was not reported missing and two million people she represents had no idea she disappeared. How can a person vested with so much power simply vanish without the rest of Congress, the media, the voters or-- let's face it--- the special interest groups noticing? More and more the Chambers of Congress are a nursing home, incompetent elderly statesmen like Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi hold onto the reigns of power-- but who is changing their diapers? It's a shameful thing to point fingers in a Presidential election about who is really a threat to democracy when we don't even care if democracy goes on extended vacation.

Last week during his Christmas vacation, Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau was on vacation. On video, a woman confronted him in the parking lot. She greeted him and said, “Please get the f**k out of B.C. You suck!” The footage has gone viral as she appeared to speak on behalf of Canadians everywhere. Trudeau announced his resignation. Canada still has to go through a selection process for his replacement which takes over March 24. Conservative people across the great white north are happy to hear it, but what's the reason he steps down after ten years? Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder who claimed they never censored free speech says they will no longer be censoring free speech-- is it too late to save the dying platform? And will anyone care that it happened in the first place? Also Greenland is apparently up for sale from Denmark. Will we make a bid on the vast icy wasteland?

The Tesla Cybertruck attacker in Las Vegas was decorated Army Special Forces Veteran Matthew Livelsberger. It's being investigated as an act of terrorism, but there are few answers about what happened and why. On New Years Day, the truck cruised the strip for an hour before pulling up to the Trump International Hotel. The truck exploded, injuring seven people. The driver had already died of an apparent self-inflicted GSW and was burned beyond recognition. All this just after a Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove a pickup truck with an ISIS flag into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and engaged in a shootout with police before being fatally shot. Fifteen people were killed, including the perpetrator, and at least thirty-five others were injured, including two police officers who were shot. Are we entering a new era of radicalized domestic terrorists?

Over the holidays planes were crashing, and violence is surging in New York's subways-- what is the lesson from Daniel Penny and his acquittal? Would you have guessed that we'd be ho-hum about multiple Presidential Candidate assassination attempts? Would you have ever guessed that every day new and baffling footage of UFOs drops on the news, seeming undeniable proof about aliens, and nobody cares? The Biden Administration, one of the most scandalous in corrupt in history, and almost everyone is looking in the other direction? A murdered squirrel may have been the October Surprise, Celebrities left and right look they're going to jail and the Carolinas are looking less picture-esque than the countryside of Ukraine. This was a really messed up year. Let's talk about it.

The San Francisco 49ers suspended De'Vondre Campbell for their final three regular-season games Monday after the linebacker refused to play and then walked out of Thursday night's loss. On Monday afternoon, Campbell's locker was empty, and his nameplate was removed. George Kittle and other teammates expressed disgust at Campbell, who could have refused before the game so another linebacker could have dressed for the game. Other players on the 49ers have faced insane challenges this year-- Rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot during a robbery before the season and Charvarius Ward's 1-year-old daughter Amani Joy died in October, but they were there to play the Rams. What makes a man so selfish to quit on his team?
