The Fine Beats Crew has stuff this week, so enjoy this Rewind episode from this past April 2024, where our guest was Josh Mankiewicz, journalist and reporter for classic true crime show, Dateline! We talked about a bunch of stuff, including food and health, and also, Dateline (which is actually one of Leslie's not-so-guilty-at-all-pleasures). This was a really, really fun one, and it was an honor to talk to him.
Josh Mankiewicz is an American journalist, who has been reporting for Dateline NBC since 1995. He has reported for The Today Show and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly. Before moving to NBC, Mankiewicz worked as a producer and reporter for ABC News. We are so excited to welcome back comedian, TV writer, and friend of the show Ashley Ray , as we dive into the writer's room drama behind the medical drama "Grey's Anatomy". "Anatomy of Lies" is a docuseries on Peacock about a writer on "Grey's" who wasn't at all what she claimed to be, and it's a wild story with a bunch of twists and turns. Ashley was on one of our very first episodes in 2022 (that' is not currently available) so when we heard about this documentary, we knew we wanted her on!

Ashley Ray is a comedian and TV Writer. Her debut comedy album, "Ice Cream Money", is out now on Blonde Medicine Records. In 2022, Ashley wrote on Adult Swimâs, ALABAMA JACKSON created by Donald Faison. Ashley was selected as one of HBO Maxâs Queer Comics to Watch for 2021 and filmed a digital special for the platform. That same year she did a sold out hour at Union Hall in NY and debuted a new hour at The Yard Theater in Los Angeles. She hosts High Gear Comedy, a monthly live show with Barbara Gray at The Airliner in LA.
Ashley is the host of the popular podcast âTV I Say with Ashley Rayâ which was featured in the New York Times as a 2021 Podcast Worth Checking Out.â Sheâs also been a guest on NPRâs Wait WaitâŠDonât Tell Me and Seth Rogenâs Storytime.
She is also known for her viral Shaun King video and post. Her newsletter about TV, pop culture and life as a solo poly bisexual dream babe was named "One of the Best 2020 Newsletters to Subscribe to That Will Keep You Informed and Entertained" by Marie Claire.

Jennifer Inglis is the author of two novels, "Girls Who Wear Glasses" and "Enchanting Sarah Greenberg." She's also studied comedy writing at The Second City in Chicago. An alumna of Northern Illinois University, she earned a bachelor's degree in theater arts, and also a master's degree in teaching from National-Louis University. She formerly worked as a public school drama teacher, which meant she spent six years being ignored by tweens. In a past life, she worked in professional theater in suburban Chicago, as a playwright, actor, assistant director, and producer, despite being a classic introvert who'd rather be home reading a book. Jennifer currently lives in Chicago and, when she's not trying to dress up her cat, Daisy, in a variety of fetching hats (and failing miserably) she works as a freelance writer is currently working on her third novel.

Our guest is the wonderful Dennis Camlek, who is a marketing professional with over thirty years of client and agency experience in the media and entertainment industry. Also, Dennis and Leslie have been friends for over 30 years since meeting at The Diamondback, the student newspaper of the University of Maryland at College Park, their alma mater.
