He wrestled in the World Police/Fire games in 2011 and went on to teach at proby school in 2013. He retired in 2016. It is going to be a great conversation since we both know Jim a long time. He volunteered for 12 years as a firefighter at the Babylon Village Fire Department starting in 1970. He served as a hull maintenance technician in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War between 1971 and 1975. Appointed to the FDNY in Nov. 1984 and appointed to Engine 60 and ended up working his entire career there until his retirement in 2004.
