Round 9 of the MPFNL season has delivered plenty to talk about, both on and off the field, Hosted by Adam Kelly, The Chief Susovich, Leigh McQuillen and Jake Kelly.
Across Division 1 and Division 2 we witnessed some outstanding football, thrilling finishes, standout individual performances and several results that continue to reshape the ladder as we move towards the midpoint of the season.
Division 1 continues to tighten, with a number of clubs making strong statements and showing they are genuine contenders.
Division 2 remains one of the most competitive competitions in recent memory, with ladder positions changing weekly and every result proving crucial in the race for September.
Unfortunately, the weekend was also overshadowed by several off-field incidents involving supporters and players at multiple venues. While the vast majority of participants continue to represent their clubs with pride, these incidents have become a talking point throughout the football community and will no doubt feature in tonight's discussion.One of the major positives to emerge this week is the arrival of the new turf surface at Olympic Park. The upgraded playing surface is a significant investment in local football and is expected to provide a safer, more consistent environment for players, officials and supporters for years to come
SUS'S PALLETS returns tonight with plenty to unpack. Following a flood of emails and messages throughout the week, Sus will tackle the major issues being discussed across the league, including supporter feedback, club concerns, facility updates and the topics everyone is talking about around the grounds.

The MPFNL enters a rare split round this weekend, with just two blockbuster Division One clashes taking centre stage while the rest of the competition enjoys a bye. Join Jacob, Neil and Chris tonight from 7:30pm as they break down all the action from last weekend and preview what promises to be a fascinating weekend of football.
SORRENTO v ROSEBUD - The Sharks are under immense pressure after a difficult start to the season and now face a Rosebud outfit sitting among the competition's elite. Can Sorrento defend home turf at David Macfarlane Reserve, or will the Buds continue their march towards a top-two finish?

With the first round officially over there were some stand out clubs in both Divisions, the Heroes dissect each game and look at the round ahead.
Spook jumps attop his Soap Box and unleashes on the AFL system and Sus manages to get out 6 - 6 -6 wtith out spitting out a tooth during his Pallets.

Sus's Pallets - The Chief takes aim at Player HQ and the stuff ups on the weekend scoreboard and still not happy he then moves on to the umpires for the weekend.......they had trouble getting their head around the 6 6 6 and the Chief had trouble getting it through those chompers......a must listen, very funny!!

The Heroes sat down with Kelly from KELthandwellbeing, we dove into what drove him to create KELthandwellbeing, his experience growing up in a home where domestic violence was prevalent. This experience coupled with his own mental health battles enabled him to have lived experience to talk about these issues that are in society everywhere and it affects more people than you know....
Kelly identified common themes within his own life and professional experiences working with youth and incarcerated men which enabled him to develop a baseline of themes that he explores within KELthandwellbeing. Emotion regulation, role modelling and gender equality are themes discussed throughout the conversation with the Heroes and he uses personal stories and examples to explain it.
This is the first of its kind for the Halftime Heroes, it's raw, it's emotional and at times a little overwhelming. The Commish and Spook share with the HH Family their experiences growing up in homes where domestic violence was prevalent.
Kelly works with organizations, sporting clubs and schools to educate them on these themes.

Kelly brings the Heroes through his journey as a VFL listed player, his success at Altona FNC and his playing role now at Portarlington FNC. Kelly goes into his role as Wellbeing mentor at Portarlington FNC. It doesn't always work out but you can turn things around if you want it bad enough, listen to Kelly explain how and what he had to do.
