Originally released for Patreons in December 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode.
In the 16th Patreon bonus podcast we head into the remote Northumberland countryside, and to former hunting lodge built in 1775 that stands in the largest man-made woodland in England at 250 square miles, famed for its dark skies.
But what would happen when my team and I stepped foot inside this 18th century castle? In this episode not only will I tell you all about the location and our investigation, but you’ll hear actual audio from the night itself.
Tonight, let us head to the darkest place in England, and ask the question, just how haunted is Kielder Castle?

In the 28th Patreon bonus podcast you join me in the remote Northumbrian countryside at a pele tower dating from the 14th century. I join Spiritus Paranormal for a paranormal investigation, and I’m taking you along with me. This is a bumper version of the two-part special which formed episodes 87 and 88 of the podcast back in September. You’re going to hear so, so much more of what happened that night in the longest episode of How Haunted? I’ve created to date.
Tonight lets ask together, just how haunted is Cresswell Pele Tower?

As we enter December and get ever closer to Christmas, which, for many, is a very, very special time of year. This is the perfect time of year, on this cold, dark, winter’s evening to explore twenty different locations the world over which are said to be the haunt of spooks that only make an appearance at Christmas.
As the snow falls gently outside, and twinkling fairy lights illuminate our homes, let’s gather together around the warmth of the fire to delve into the spectral side of Christmas, and ask just how haunted does it get around Christmastime?

Originally released for Patreons in November 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode. In the 15th Patreon bonus podcast we head to Edinburgh, and to a student-ran theatre which dates from the mid-19th century, and before we spent a cold November night there back in 2012, had never before had a paranormal investigation carried out there. But what would happen when my team and I stepped foot inside this ancient inn? In this episode not only will I tell you all about the location and our investigation, but you’ll hear actual audio from the night itself. Tonight, let us once more visit Edinburgh, and ask just how haunted is the Bedlam Theatre?

In the 27th Patreon bonus podcast you join me on location in October of this year, 2024, in the Scottish borders at a jail built in 1823 that would house the very worst of the prisoners in the area.
What would happen when fellow Geordie podcaster, Icy Sedgwick, and I joined a public ghost hunt at this jail built atop the site of a castle that stood here 400 years earlier?
Tonight lets ask together, just how haunted is Jedburgh Castle Jail?

Join me in the most remote county in England, right here in my native north east as we take a deep dive into a trio of hotels you definitely want to avoid if you want a good night’s sleep. However if you’re aim is to seek out those ethereal entities that lurk in such places in the dead of night, then these hotels will be just perfect for your needs.
So, let’s ask together, just how haunted are the hotels of Northumberland?

Join me on a trip to the seaside, as we head to North Yorkshire and check into a hotel that opened in 1867 as the largest hotel in Europe. The hotel has since seen its fair share of highs and lows, and was even targeted by Adolf Hitler during World War II as being perfect for his base in England. Today the hotel is, sadly, a budget hotel but it is still a popular, historic, retreat for those heading to this delightful town.
And of course it’s rumoured to be haunted, but just what eerie phenomena is said to occur within this once great building?
Let’s head to the seaside and ask together, just how haunted is Scarborough’s Grand Hotel?

The culmination of Vampire Month sees us head into the heart of Transylvania, and we will delve deep into the life and death of Vlad III Dracula, a man who undoubtedly influenced Bram Stoker’s decision to place his Dracula here. We will then go in search of ghosts in three gothic castles with ties to not only Vlad, but Dracula himself.
This Halloween night join me in asking just how haunted are the vampiric castles of Transylvania?

We continue Vampire Month by going in search of Dracula in an English seaside town which has fully embraced its status as the gothic capital of the UK. As we get ever closer to Halloween we will explore in depth why this place is so intrinsically linked to vampires, I will guide you on a tour of the locations with ties to Dracula, and we will look for ghosts and ghouls in some of the town’s oldest, and most iconic, structures.
So lets’ ask together, can Dracula be found in Whitby?

This time out, we continue Vampire Month by heading across the pond to the oldest neighbourhood in the city of New Orleans, and it’s here we will go in search of those blood sucking creatures who stalk in the dead of night.
Not only will we look at the vampiric connections to this place, but we will, of course, seek out the ghosts and ghouls that may be found here.

The scariest month of the year is here, so let us begin a month of weekly episodes themed for those shape shifting, coffin dwelling, blood sucking monsters – the vampire.
To kick off Vampire Month on the How Haunted? podcast, we will look at the origins, and evolution, of the vampire legend, and then we will head across the globe to explore a number of locations which may offer up evidence that vampires may well be more than merely myth.
Join me tonight, as together we ask the question, could vampires actually be real?

In the 25th Patreon bonus podcast we're doing something a little bit special. In April I found a hard drive containing audio from four investigations that I conducted in 2011 and 2012. Dozens of hours of audio that I lost around a decade ago, and I thought was lost forever. These were four absolutely incredible locations, and I have covered all four investigations - minus the audio from that night - on the podcast previously. So in the Patreon specials across June, July, August, and September I will revisit those episodes and add in the audio, which was seemingly lost forever. I've saved the best until last, and September's Patreon exclusive episode includes over two hours and 15 minutes of audio from that unforgettable night, so you can hear what happened, exactly as it happened.
But what would happen when my team and I descended beneath the city streets to investigate this tourist attraction that has found infamy, since it opened in 2003, and is now regarded as one of the most haunted places, in an incredibly haunted city.
Tonight, let us find out together as we ask the question, just how haunted is Mary King’s Close?

This time we conclude our time in the Czech Republic by visiting a place nicknamed the bone church for obvious reasons as the skeletons of up to 70,000 human beings have been used to create all manner of decorative pieces for this church, understandably considered by many to be one of the scariest places on the planet. But are there any ghosts to be found here?

In the 24th Patreon bonus podcast you join me at a magnificent building we visited back in episode 21 of the podcast, but we're doing something a little bit special. In April I found a hard drive containing audio from four investigations that I conducted in 2011 and 2012. Dozens of hours of audio that I lost around a decade ago, and I thought was lost forever. So in the Patreon specials across June, July, August, and September I will revisit those episodes and add in the audio, which was seemingly lost forever. This time it’s time to head back to York Guildhall. And the episode now includes almost 2 hours and 45 minutes of audio from that unforgettable night, so you can hear what happened, exactly as it happened.
But what would happen when my team and I stepped foot inside this location on a chilly October evening in search of the spirits to be found here, including phantom monks, voices calling out in empty rooms, and a large shadowy man, who’s heavy footsteps are a sure sign of his presence.
Tonight, let us find out together as we ask the question, just how haunted is York Guildhall?
