This week we are joined by 2:14 marathon man, Ross Braden as he builds in to Copenhagen marathon. He gives us plenty of insights into his training weeks and his hot tip for London marathon this weekend.
Enjoy

We’re just about back for another week, but thanks to a scheduling issue (which was me watching Ipswich on Easter Monday), we’re a little late in bringing this one to you.
As publicised last week we have a big return on the podcast this week. The man that everyone has been waiting to hear from is back to answer some questions, such as what's the yield of his pear tree been like this year...
-
Hi everyone, we're back again, and this time we're bigger, stronger and more enthusiastic than ever (well maybe 1/3 of those).
The gang is nearly all back and reunited, but Josh can only give us a quick 10 min catchup, so we thought we'd loan in Run it Three Ways podcast hope and GB international athlete, Callum Elson to hold the fort and provide some quality to the show.
For those wanting the return of Clowesy, well you'll have to wait until next week, but the juggernaut will be back on to give us his life updates.
So for now, enjoy us quizzing Callum on his meteoric rise in the sport and his social media presence. Enjoy Shane talking us through his quest to get back to 1500m running, and also enjoy Aaron's plans for becoming a full time athlete when baby number 2 arrives in May.
Thanks for listening and sticking with us.
Much love,
IJP boys

Episode 117 is here. There's news from the States where we saw a couple of sub 13, 5k performances from Brits. There’s a fast marathon in Osaka to cover, plus we will do the usual segments and even dip into a social media rant of the week.
Josh is well and truly over his blip in his marathon buildup with a big session this week.
Shane is just about over the tiredness that has followed him around the last few months
While, Aaron isn't quite over Ipswich being beaten by Maidstone last weekend.
Have a good one,
IJP boys. -
Welcome to episode 116 of the Inside Jogging Podcast, thanks for tuning in for another week .
Josh goes racing in Spain, well sort of. He decides to pace the lead women at Santa Pola and was the main contributor to the lead lady taking a tumble at 15k.
Shane is building back up slowly and introduces a run that will surely never catch on, the Friday night long run.
While Aaron is trying to find some motivation and to do so hires a new coach, with the target of running a flat out 3k next week.
Thanks for listening.

After a short break we're back to talk all things running, including the World Record 10k from Valencia.
We recap what we've been up to over the past few weeks. Josh has passed some exams and been out in Spain putting in some miles. Shane has been doing all-nighters again, while Aaron is just searching for a sensible baby name.
We'll be back again next Weds.
Kind Regards,
Shaun, Big Ron and Joshy. -
A week which promised so much, but delivered very little.
Aaron joined Shane as a DNS for Malaga marathon, after a virus knocked him out of action.
Josh went to Telford to race the 10k and stretch the legs, but in the end couldn't move out of marathon gear.
Here's to a better 2024...

Welcome to episode 113 of the Inside Jogging Podcast, some big marathon news to catch up on this week with records going down in Valencia, plus we cover the final preperations as Aaron prepares for Malaga marathon this weekend.
Josh has an easy week for once post half marathon and pre Telford 10k, and isn't too pleased about how wet it has been of late.
Shane has a week off and despite saying he has been "going to the gym" the other lads aren't too pleased to learn that this means he has been once.
While, Aaron is in his final preperations ahead of Malaga and isn't too pleased about his mind starting to wander and goal creep becoming a thing.
Have a good week,
IJP boys -
A quieter week on the racing front, but our own Joshua Lunn was in action in Paris racing over half marathon.
Josh has a disappointing race to recap, and even talks us through an injury sustained by bag carrying.
Shane has disappointing news as he announces he will be a DNS on the startline of Malaga after he hasn't recovered from his hamstring injury.
While Aaron has no disappointment for once and looks forward to his taper now the main bulk of the block is over.
Have a good week,
IJP boys -
Welcome to episode 111 of the Inside Jogging Podcast, thanks for downloading another show and choosing to listen to us for the next 60 mins or so, whether you’re out for a run, or doing some weights like our old friend Clowesy, hopefully we can keep you entertained whatever you’re up to.
We cover the latest news and have all the usual segments you've come to expect.
Shane is struggling with his hammy and debating whether he will start the marathon.
Josh is pushing the mileage and debating whether he can be in PB shape next week in Paris.
While Aaron is trying to clear a cold and debating whether his running life will be over once the second child arrives in May.
Thanks for listening. -
Shorter week this one, with less running news to catch up on than usual. Aaron and Shane are less than four weeks out from Malaga marathon now, but both have some minor issues to overcome this week. While, Josh is back in the hundred mile week club, and getting those miles in later in the day than usual.
-
Sorry for missing last week, the boys catch up on the last few weeks of action and go through what they've been up to for the last 14 days.
-
Episode 108 is here.
A less busy weekend on the racing front, but still there’s Valencia half and Leeds Abbey Dash to cover. We’ve got all our usual segments, which will definitely include a listener question or two this week! Josh turns up late after already delaying the recording 24 hours... -
A crazy busy weekend of racing to roundup this week with news from another super fast British women’s marathon time over in the States, there’s the Amsterdam marathon to talk about, alongside the Great South Run, Peterborough Half, Manchester Half, Bath Half and loads more!
Josh returns to racing with a solid outing at the Great South Run, his short choice is questionable though.
Shane goes to Peterborough half as he continues his build to Malaga, it's fair to say he finds the last three miles a bit of a struggle.
While Aaron is back to a 100 mile week, featuring a 25 mile long run, however his roundup 600m to get him above 100 for the week goes against his recent rant about rounding up.
Have a good week.
IJP -
Welcome to episode 106, the small event of another marathon world record to discuss this week as we talk all things Chicago, plus there’s all the action for the National Road Relays to cover.
Kelvin Kiptum's two-hour run needs a debrief so we're here with all the facts you need to know (and many you don't).
Shane and Aaron managed to hook up for a midweek session of 8 x 1k on/off or if you prefer 16k in/out, or if you prefer 16k wave tempo.
Josh is back into the mileage and also playing games that are usually reserved for the playground, but I suppose that is the level to match his mental age.
Enjoy IJP -
Episode 105 is here and there's plenty to cover with news from the inaugural world running road champs in Riga alongside the usual segments such as our training week recaps and a listener question or two.
This week we are joined live on the show by Dublin Half Marathon winner, Aoife Cleary. Aoife might not be a name you’re too familiar with, but in winning the Dublin half marathon the weekend before last wearing what looked like a floral yellow jacket, pink headband and beats style headphones, she certainly made an impression.
We ask her all about her unique approach to running and even convinced her to come out to Malaga in December to run the half.
Enjoy

A crazy week in the world of running with an astonishing new women's marathon world record in Berlin.
We do our best to recap all the action from the week along with all the usual segments. -
Episode 103 is here. Loads of action to recap with the final of the diamond league in Eugene, a fast half marathon in Copenhagen, 10k action from Swansea and a swift 5k in Battersea.
Josh ramped up his training again this week and despite an achilles scare managed his biggest week to date in his comeback.
Shane got locked out of his car after a wedding, so can only detail a solid Monday to Friday of training.
While Aaron returns to back to the top of the IJP hosts mileage leaderboard, which encouragingly showed some signs of fitness starting to take shape.
Thanks for listening.
IJP boys -
Plenty to talk about this week with news from Mo Farah’s finale at the Great North Run, British wins at the Fifth Avenue mile in New York, and a roundup of some late-season track action.
Josh is back in action at the Welsh Relays and despite the heat, he battled his way to a respectable finishing team and helping his team to a podium finish.
Shane continues his build up to Malaga and despite the dew point being high he cracks through a decent enough week of training.
Aaron reverts to his old way and misses a couple of days of training, but despite the humidity he backloads his week without too many issues.
Have a good one.
