Elaine McKinley's wife had a simple request for her 81st birthday: a short hike and a picnic with Elaine and a friend. Kit knew it was the perfect time of year to see all of the wild flowers in bloom. Its easy to see that Elaine, 79 and her wife Kit were not your average senior citizens. They hiked three days a week and took ballroom dancing classes three times a week.
Elaine had Alzheimers but was a force to be reckoned with. The three women went on the short, not strenuous hike and as usual Elaine raced ahead of Kit and their friend. It was assumed that Elaine went ahead to the picnic site. When Kit and the friend got to the picnic tables there was no Elaine.
Because of her age and cognitive issues search and rescue responded immediately. Drones, dogs, searchers on foot, thermal planes, no source was spared. And yet...Elaine remains missing.
If you know anything about what happened to Elaine McKinley, please contact that San Mateo County Sheriff's Office at 650-363-4911,

In June of 2000, George Gibson a successful Veterinarian and researcher for P & G in Cincinnati came home after work, shut this garage door and was never seen alive again. His wife, the equally as successful Paige Smith was headed to New York for a Veterinarian researchers conference.
George had a secret life that now would be considered tame, but he had met many women from chat phone lines in person. Although most of the women reported them as "dates" like walking around parks and meeting to talk.
George was found bound to a chair, shot NUMEROUS times and two of the couples beloved dogs were also shot with a third and her puppies unharmed.
The Ohio Attorney General is supposedly still investigating as well as the West Chester PD.
Tips can be reported to the West Chester Police Department at (513) 777-2231

We started with the episode about the murder of Carl Grillmair on his front porch a few weeks back. We then covered the disappearance of Major General Neil McCasland into thin air.
We are now following the lead of a few agencies and listing ALL of the scientists who have died, were murdered or just plain vanished in the last four years. What do they all have in common? Space exploration, inventors of rocket material, astro physics, and research into life on other plants.
Coincidence? There is no such thing.

New York in the 1840's was a wild and fascinating burgeoning metropolis with many opportunities, not all good. Mary Rogers was known as "The Beautiful Cigar Girl,' working at a local smoke shop as the owner said her beauty brough in many customers. Mary's mother had opened up her house to boarding after Mary's father died in a tragic steamboat accident. It was mother and daughter trying to get along doing what they needed to do.
Mary's beauty was so renowned at the time that James Fennimore Cooper wrote a poem about her that was published in the New York Herald.
In 1841 Mary told her mother and fiancee Daniel Payne that she was taking a short boat ride to visit her aunt. But she never returned. She was found 3 days later floating in the Hudson River. What happened to Mary?
Her life inspired Edgar Allen Poe to write "The Mystery of Marie Roget," changing Mary's name and making her life in Paris instead of New York

Neil McCasland, astronautical engineer, retired US Air Force Major General and former Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory is missing. Not your average 68 year old, an avid hiker and outdoorsman Neil had ridden in a 60 mile bike race a few weeks before going missing. He was home in his main residence in Albuquerque on the morning of February 27, 2026 while his wife was running some errands. His wife returns home around Noon to find Neil gone, but his phone, prescription glasses and other "wearable" devices were left behind.
Searches began immediately with some sleuths believing his disappearance may have ties to his research on Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, and potential extraterrestrial activity.
If YOU know anything about the whereabouts of Major General McCasland please contact the Albuquerque PD at 1-505-768-2020 Or 1-800-CALLFBI

Sometimes law enforcement handles cases differently depending on a missing persons vocation. It shouldn't matter that Sara was an exotic dancer for a living. She was a working mother, sister, daughter, friend. Disappearing after work one night was unusual for her normal pattern. There are more than one persons of interest in her case but it appears very clear, she did NOT leave her daughter, her family her friends on her own. Her sister Michelle Tullis is a force to be reckoned with and will not stop until Sara is found and her family sees justice. Her main worry now is her niece and the circumstances are understandable for her worry.
If you know anything about Sara Gail's case or where she might be, please contact: The Marion County Sheriffs office at 352-368-7867 Reference Case #2371 with your tip.

When a brilliant scientist/astrophysicist buys land in the outskirts of LA County so he can see the stars and planets without light pollution from his homemade planetarium, he thinks he is safe. Carl Grillmair, a 67 year old genius of world renown was found deceased from a gunshot to his upper torso on the front porch of his remote home. One of the foremost authorities on whether there is water on other planets he helped redefine how we think about the potential of life outside of Earth.
Was a young husband, father, son whose family lived with his mother responsible for this? A resident of the small yet storied community that Carl chose to make his home, Freddy Snyder had a short history with Carl but to shoot him on his own porch seems so brutal and out of place.
If YOU know anything about what happened to Carl Grillmair or what allegedly made Freddy Snyder do this please contact the LA County Sheriffs Department Homicide Bureau at: 323-890-5500

15 Year old Sebastian Rogers lived with his mother and stepfather and Hendersonville Tennessee. February 26 of 2024 was a regular day for Sebastian according to his mother. Katie Proudfoot said that she and her son had a wonderful day. Did some shopping, played some video games, had dinner out, came home and watched television and went to bed. Around 10 PM Katie heard a very loud thud from Sebastian's bedroom. When she called out to ask if he was all right he answered he was fine. And Katie left it at that. When she woke up the next day, Sebastian was gone and had left his phone his shoes, his jacket. February in Tennessee would be Cold so how could he have walked away from home without anything to protect him?

Just The Tip-Sters typically does not cover timely cases unless its requested by law enforcement or family members of a missing or murdered loved one. Savannah Guthrie has taken to her Instagram account to ask for the publics help. So many of us are glued to this case and while there are many ethical reporters giving this case the coverage it needs there are bad actors out there who are reckless with information and accusations. Think of us as your clearing house. We gather all of the information we can and dispense it here.
Let's get Nancy home.

In this month's special, Melissa from Just The Tip-Sters shares a case close to her heart with Cam & Jen. It's a head-scratcher. In May 2011, Bill and Peggy Stephenson, a kind, generous, and deeply loved couple from Florence, Kentucky, were brutally murdered inside their own home. Both were 74 years old. Their deaths sent shockwaves through Northern Kentucky and left family, friends, and an entire community searching for answers. More than a decade later, this horrific double homicide remains unsolved. There was no obvious motive, no clear suspects, and no explanation that made sense. Even seasoned detectives and the FBI have described the case as complex, haunting, and deeply baffling. The Boone County Sheriffâs Department continues to pursue leads and believes that more than one person may have information about what happened that night. Investigators have vowed to leave no stone unturned, but they still need public help. If you have any information, no matter how small it may seem, please get in touch with law enforcement. Boone County Sheriffâs Department Phone: 859-334-8496 Toll-Free Tip Line: 844-210-1111 Email: â [email protected]â If you know anything about the murders of Bill and Peggy Stephenson, please speak up. One detail could be the key to ending this long nightmare and bringing justice to a family that has waited far too long. You can also send your tips to Melissa Phone: 832-842-7837 Email: â [email protected]â Make sure you follow Melissa's podcast Just the Tip-Sters. We know you'll love it. Wayne Nance did not have a perfect childhood but neither do a lot of us. He was smart and somehow got himself through highschool and graduated. He joined the military but was "generally" discharged due to having contraband like drugs and knives. Little did we know he had already commited one of the most brutal murders of the mother of a friend. After his own death evidence connecting him to this murder was found in his possessions.
His victims some of which he is only the person of interest due to not having enough evidence include but are not limited to:
Donna Pounds, 39, mother of Nance's friend: 4/11/1974
Devonna Louise Nelson, 15, 2/27/1980
Marcella Cheri Bachman, 16, 12/24/1984
Janet Lee Lucas, 23, 9/11/1985
Michael Shook 34, and Teresa Shook, 32, December 2, 1985 (Husband and wife that Nance had delivered a couch)
Doug and Kristin Wells, 9/3/1986, the Wells' survived only due to Doug Wells will to live. Nance met his match here and died the following day taking many of his secrets with him.
It is assured that Nance committed more murders when he was traveling during his military service and others he was able to commit and distance himself from. If YOU know anything about any unsolved homicides in or around Missoula Montana please contact the Missoula PD at (406) 552-6300
