Was there ever a party you really wanted to go to but didn’t get an invite? We have really great news for you! God is throwing a party and you’re invited. Do you want to know how to get ready for the party and which friends to bring? Then join us this week to find out more.
--------------------------------------------
Wouldn’t It Be Great To Be Invited?
(Luke 14:15 NLT) Hearing this, a man sitting at the table with Jesus exclaimed, “What a blessing it will be to attend a banquet in the Kingdom of God!”
(Luke 14:16-17 NLT) Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. (17) When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, “Come, the banquet is ready.”
(Luke 14:18-20 NLT) But they all began making excuses. One said, “I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.” (19) Another said, “I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.” (20) Another said, “I just got married, so I can’t come.”
(Luke 14:21-24 NLT) “The servant returned and told his master what they had said. His master was furious and said, “Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.” (22) After the servant had done this, he reported, “There is still room for more.” (23) So his master said, “Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. (24) For none of those I first invited will get even the smallest taste of my banquet.”
(John 15:16 NLT) You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
Stop Making Excuses
Have The Right Priorities
Let’s Invite Because We Are Invited
(Romans 10:13-15 NLT) For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (14) But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (15) And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

What does Jesus value? Do I have to earn or work for his grace?
Tune in and see how Jesus values our relationship with Him above all else and how we are saved by his grace, not our works.
-----------------------------------
WHAT DOES JESUS VALUE?
(Matthew 13:45-46 NLT) “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. (46) When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!
(Luke 10:38-42 NLT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. (39) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. (40) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” (41) But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! (42) There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
JESUS VALUES TIME & RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU
(Luke 10:39 NLT) Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.
(Phlippians 3:8-11 NLT) Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ (9) and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. (10) I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, (11) so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
(John 15:5 NLT) Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
JESUS VALUES GRACE & NOT WORKS - LIVING FROM GRACE AND NOT FOR GRACE
(Luke 10:40-42) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” (41) But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!
(Romans 11:6 NLT) And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
(Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (9) not by works, so that no one can boast.
JESUS VALUES HIS PEOPLE
(1 Timothy 2:3-6 NLT) This is good and pleases God our Savior, (4) who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. (5) For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. (6) He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

Are you investing in eternity? This week's message explores how to use our gifts for God's kingdom and steward them faithfully!
----------------------------------
ARE YOU INVESTING IN ETERNITY?
(Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP) He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.
(Matthew 25:14 NLT) Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone.
WE ARE ALL STEWARDS
(1 Peter 4:10 NIV) Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
(Matthew 25:15 NLT) He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last-dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.
GOD-GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY COMES WITH GOD-GIVEN ABILITY
(Matthew 25:16-18 NLT) The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. (17) The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. (18) But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master's money.
(Hebrews 12:2 NIV) Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Matthew 25:19-20 NLT) After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. (20) The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, 'Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.'
(Matthew 25:23 NLT) The master said, “Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!”
GOD-GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY IS PART OF THE REWARD
(Matthew 25:24-28 NLT) Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, “Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn't plant and gathering crops you didn't cultivate. (25) I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.” (26) But the master replied, “You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn't plant and gathered crops I didn't cultivate, (27) why didn't you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.” (28) Then he ordered, “Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver.”
THE JOY AND REWARD OF GOOD STEWARDSHIP
(Matthew 25:29 NLT) To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

HOW DO I LIVE FOR ETERNITY?
(Matthew 25:1-13 NLT) “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. (2) Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. (3) The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, (4) but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. (5) When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. (6) “At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’ (7) “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. (8) Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ (9) “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’ (10) “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. (11) Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’ (12) “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’ (13) “So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.
WE ARE SAVED SO THAT WE CAN DO GOOD WORKS
(Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (9) Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (10) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
LIVE ON MISSION
(Ephesians 4:1 NLT) Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT) That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. (17) For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (18) So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

(Revelation 5:11-12 NIV) "Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. (12) In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

THE AMAZING COMMUNITY
(Luke 16:22-23 MSG) Then he (Lazarus) died, this poor man, and was taken up by the angels to the lap of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell and in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham in the distance and Lazarus in his lap.
(Revelation 21:3-4 MSG) I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: “Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.” The Enthroned continued, “Look! I’m making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate.
THE AUDACIOUS LIFESTYLE
(John 14:1-3 NIV) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. (2) My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; (43) it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; (44) it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body."
(Matthew 25:21 NIV) His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

What do I do if I want more out of life? Where can I use my God given gifts and talents? This week we talk about how serving in the church can change our lives and the lives of others also!
-----------------------------
USE YOUR GIFTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
(Matthew 5:14-16 NLT) “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. (15) No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. (16) In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
GOD HAS GIVEN YOU GIFTS AND PLANS
(Ephesian 2:10 NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
(1 Peter 4:10 NLT) God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
DON’T HIDE YOUR LIGHT
(Ecclesiastes 11:4 NLT) Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
(Psalm 23:1 NLT) The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
(Luke 16:10 NIV) Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
SHINE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR CITY
(Matthew 5:15b-16 NLT) Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. (16) In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father
(Matthew 12:21 NLT) And his name will be the hope of all the world.

What does it mean to be planted in the church? And why is it important? This week we look into why God wants us to be planted in a local church and how putting down roots can help us and the church grow!
-----------------------------------
WHY SHOULD I BELONG TO A CHURCH?
GOD’S DESIGN IS FOR US TO FLOURISH IN HIS HOUSE
(Psalm 92:13 NIV) Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE PLANTED IN GOD’S HOUSE?
(Acts 8:29-31 NLT) The Holy Spirit said to Philip, "Go over and walk along beside the carriage." (30) Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?" (31) The man replied, "How can I, unless someone instructs me?" And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
(Acts 8:34-35 NLT) The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else?" (35) So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus.
BE IN THE SOIL: KEEP SHOWING UP TO YOUR CHURCH
PUT YOUR ROOTS DOWN: INVEST YOUR HEART IN YOUR CHURCH
(Hebrews 10:24 NLT) Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
(Luke 5:33 NIV) They said to him, “John’s disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking.”
COMMIT TO A LOCAL CHURCH
(Hebrews 10:25 AMPC) Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
(Acts 8:36-38 NLT) As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look! There's some water! Why can't I be baptized?" (38) He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.
(Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT) Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. (12) Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (13) This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
CLOSER TO JESUS

What kind of community is the church? Can you come closer to God at church? Can you make friends at church? Find out how you can experience personal growth and encouragement through amazing relationships in the church.
——————————————————————————
THE CHURCH - WHY DO I NEED CONNECT GROUP?
(Colosians 1:9-10 NLT) So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. (10) Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
(Acts 2:42-47 NLT) All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (43) A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. (44) And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. (45) They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. (46) They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— (47) all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
(Acts 5:42 NLT) And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”
(Psalm 84:10a NLT) Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.
PERSONAL GROWTH
ENCOURAGEMENT
(Ephesians 4:14-15 NLT) Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. (15) Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
PRAYER
AMAZING RELATIONSHIPS
(Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT) Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. (25) And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

How did God’s Church start? Why is it still around now? How is it still important? Tune in this week to see how God’s unshakable church is still impacting the world today and how you can be a part of it!
————————————
UNSHAKABLE: THE STORY OF THE CHURCH
WHAT HAPPENED THEN (AT THE START)?
(Matthew 16:18) And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
(Hebrews 12:28) Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
(Isaiah 55:11) So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty. But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
(Acts 1:8) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
HOW MANY RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT? ALL WHO SEEKS JESUS!
(Acts 2:1-4) When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. (2) Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. (3) They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. (4) All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
(Romans 8:9) You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
HOW MANY PRAISE LANGUAGES? CALL TO ALL PEOPLE TO COME AND WORSHIP!
(Acts 2:8) Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?
(Acts 2:17) In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
WHO CAN BE SAVED? ALL WHO BELIEVE!
(Acts 2:37-38, 41) When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” (38) Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
WHAT DID THEY DO ON THE FIRST DAY? SERVED THE LORD WITH JOY!
(Acts 2:42) "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
(Acts 2:46-47) Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, (47) praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW? THE "GOSPEL" GOING TO THE WHOLE WORLD
(Psalm 113:3) From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets the name of the Lord is to be praised.
(Isaiah 59:19) From the west, people will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along.
WHAT'S HAPPENING FUTURE? "ALL THE EARTH REACHED!"
(Habbakuk 2:14) For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
(Revelation 5:9 In heaven future) And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals,...

God’s Church has been around for a long time. It comes in all different shapes and sizes. Maybe you have seen a church or maybe you have attended. But what is God’s Church? Why is it important? This month we are looking into the history and importance of the Church through our new series called God’s Community - The Church!
———————————————
CHURCH: GOD’S MASTER PLAN
GOD WANTS A FAMILY
(Ephesians 2:19 TLB) Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God's very own family, citizens of God's country, and you belong in God's household with every other Christian.
EKKLESIA - “THE CALLED-OUT ONE’S”
(Ephesians 2:21-22 TLB) We who believe are carefully joined together with Christ as parts of a beautiful, constantly growing temple for God. (22) And you also are joined with him and with each other by the Spirit and are part of this dwelling place of God.
(Ephesians 3:3, 5 NLT) As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me…. (5) God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.
CHURCH IS GOD’S PLAN
(Ephesians 3:6 NLT) And this is God's plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God's children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
ONE BIG EXTENDED FAMILY, WITH MANY UNIQUE HOUSEHOLDS
(Hebrews 10:25 TLB) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
(Psalm 92:13 NIV) Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
GOD’S ETERNAL PLAN WAS YOU FLOURISHING IN A CHURCH
(Ephesians 3:10-11 NLT) God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. (11) This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (21) Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
