What are the main differences between Liberalism and Anti-Racism?
Welcome to another episode of #Logocentric! The past few decades have been building up to this moment in time. The foundational ethos of liberalism has been slowly been attacked in academic circles for decades now, and this video should reestablish what we love about #liberalism and how this modern take of civil rights, #antiracism, actually works to undo past liberal civil rights battles and make race the main way to view people.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! I challenge some of the fundamental presuppositions of social constructionists view of gender and the alleged category of #nonbinary. I talk about how redefining where exactly the spectrum lies can lead to a more accurate view of what we are seeing.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! In todays episode, I talk about Swiss psychologist, #CarlJung. This isn't a deep dive into the finer details of his theories, but more of a summary of what I feel are the biggest impacts his ideas could have. I believe Jung was a brave, insanely intelligent clinician who pushed #psychology into a whole new stratosphere, and wide-spread adoption of some of his core ideas could have great potential implications.

Welcome to another episode of #Logocentric! In this episode, I go into the ethics of a French film that has been released on #Netflix named #Cuties. The film has been the source of a lot of controversy due to the age of the actresses in the film, I discuss whether the outrage over the film is justified, and if so, on what empirical basis?

Welcome to another episode of #Logocentric! In this episode, I dive into the tenuous relationship between art & responsibility. I discuss both sides of the argument and try to make the lesser known side of this discussion be known. As a musician, I've seen both sides of the coin when it comes to this issue.
Side 1: Fans connect with artists connecting with themselves. It can help show people they're not alone.
Side 2: Writing "depressing" music for the sake of it with no silver-lining, can lead to harm to the fans.
Which side do you fall on? Somewhere in the middle?

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! In today's episode, I'll be discussing the on-going conflict between science and #religion and how the conversation has been derailed by low-resolution criticisms and the overall dialogue about this subject. Since usually the mainstream view of the conversation has been viewed as religion is just followed by a bunch of naive people who believe stories in their religious texts are empirical scientific truths and #atheism/secularism is the obvious progressive way forward, I discuss a better way of viewing religion so we can have a more proper frame of what the conversation between religion and science should be.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! In this episode, I go on a rant about what I consider to be the highest virtue. I feel virtues like empathy, compassion, and #love are vital but over-stressed in comparison to other virtues that are traditionally considered bad like #greed. I dive into how each of these virtues can be pathologized, and turned into a vice or a weakness. Join the communities! Welcome to another episode of #Logocentric! In this episode, I'm diving into the ideas of the #SouthernStrategy and the "Big Switch" and I try to determine the validity of the mainstream conceptions of these ideas, and to also determine what that strategy, if it does exist, looks like and how it actually happened.
I also take a look at the famous quotes by Lee Atwater that allegedly confirm the racist origins of the Southern Strategy, and look at these statements in full context to see if there is something that's normally missed.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! Today I talk about my reasons for leaving the democratic party, but more importantly, I talk about leaving the Left as an ideology. Growing up, I had been conditioned by my contrarian nature and therefore my willingness to dive head-first into the Us vs. Them mentality. I had to find out if this had anything to do with my parties ideology or had if it was strictly an individual phenomena. Turns out, once I started to act out things that ran contrary to the party narrative, I found myself quickly separated from my normal friends and family.
After leaving the Left, I didn't feel like I had by default returned to the Right. So I find myself politically homeless and I outline my basic political philosophy to try and see exactly where I fall on the political spectrum. Am I classical liberal? Right-leaning libertarian?

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! In this episode, I'll be discussing when celebrities, artists, and athletes speak out on political issues and the outcry that follows. Are people like #DaveChappelle justified in speaking out on things like police brutality? Or when celerities made the #ITakeResponsibility video? How do you react when you hear one of your favorite artists, celebrities, or athletes speak out on an issue? Do you feel like it's justified or do you feel most of the time it's uninformed?
We also discussed the psychological relationships between fans and the art and entertainment they enjoy, and how people can project their feelings and opinions onto artists. Sometimes leading to cognitive dissonance when artists make their opinions known and contradict the prior assumptions of the fans, and how that can play a role in the outcry to famous figures speaking out on political causes.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! Today's episode is focused on #GeorgeFloyd & #BlackLivesMatter. We discuss what went down in the outcomes of the George Floyd case, as well as the nation-wide consequences and responses to his death. We dive into the protests & riots and the motives behind them, as well as the motives behind the ideologies of "White Fragility", "White Privilege", & "Systemic Racism" and their founders like: Peggy McIntosh, Robin DiAngelo, Camara Jones, etc. We also dive into the Defund/Abolish the Police movements and how their vagueness in terminology can lead to a wide array of conflicting interpretations.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! In this short episode, I lay out the main purpose of this channel and what I hope to accomplish. I was deeply inspired by the conversations that took place in the #FreeSpeech Movement or #IntellectualDarkWeb and wanted to help contribute to this movement by diving head-first into topics and issues that may make people feel uncomfortable like abortion, privilege, trans pronouns, the rise of fauxcest pornography, and more to try and find out what's going on and what we can learn from these cultural phenomenas.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! #ImmanuelKant is one of the most important philosophers of all time for his attempt to resolve religion and rationality. However, to what degree the religion was driving the rationality or the rationality is driving the religion, is by no means obvious. Depending on which quote you're looking at, and depending on your idea of the terms being used by Kant, you may come to different conclusions as to whether he's an Enlightenment or a Counter-Enlightenment thinker. Let's do a little dive into what we can learn from a slice of Kantian #Philosophy.

Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! We're going to be discussing one of the most controversial topics to date: #WhitePrivilege. I discuss a bit of the origins of the concept and who articulated it in academia, as well as the methodological process that was used to develop the idea. I also discuss the racist implications and negative consequences of tying "white" to privilege intrinsically, as well as ways to put privilege as a sociological concept into perspective so we can see how it might be viewed beneficially. In this video I make a few main points: --If the characteristics that define "privilege", in the context of the person who articulated the idea, can exist in situations that don't involve a white person in either party, then there is no justification for making privilege a "white-only" phenomena. The only way to rationalize that would be to say that all white people act a certain way prejudicially against people of other races intrinsically, which to attribute a homogenous view of a group to every individual that comprises that group is categorically racist. Because it insists that there is no variance between individuals who happen to share the same amount of melanin in their skin. --Most of the points Peggy McIntosh put forth as evidence for the existence of white privilege can be explained away by other sociological forces. --Racism is, in my opinion, fundamentally an attribute of tribalism. The evolutionary basis could be attempts to rationalize stereotypes and false information about anyone outside your tribe. --We should work to identify racists who are in positions of power and remove them from influence over any governmental influence, but the same should apply to anyone of any race who is racist towards any other race. ==Sources== Jordan Peterson on White Privilege: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfH8I... Welcome back to another episode of #Logocentric! During the #COVID crisis, we are seeing a rise in arguments that seem to be pro-science and pro-reason but end up being based on fallacy-ridden axioms. One of the biggest targets has been YouTube, people questioning whether scientists and Ph.D's on the social media platform are considered "illegitimate" or #FakeNews just by having content on YouTube. I exam these arguments that seem to be popping up on social media via memes, tweets, etc. and challenge their clarity but also Steel-Man their argument to see what is attempted to be said even if it isn't articulated correctly.
