The April Book Club pick Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu had everyone floating in orbit with its lush, atmospheric world-building and the simmering, slow-burn tension between Elara and Enzo (seriously⊠just say you love each other already!!). In this episode, Emily and Alex dive into it all, from the gorgeous celestial setting to the shaky pacing and moments of clunky dialogue that pulled everyone out of the magic. The club fell hard for the sunshine prince, made some eerily accurate predictions, and most importantly, had the chance to share every moment with members of the Lost in Fiction community. Whether you were part of the book club or just in love with this magical world, this episode is the perfect place to unpack all things Heavenly Bodies!

Return to London with Emily and Alex as they conclude their journey through Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark with Part II (Chapters 45 to the end), and letâs just say, emotions were extremely high. From Magnoliaâs long-awaited healing journey to an unforgettable climb in West Java (a mirror, a mountain, and a metaphor? Weâre not okay), this half of the book delivered everything. Tears of joy, heartbreak, and rage were all flowing, and honestly? Everyone is still recovering. The long-awaited happily ever after finally arrived, and no one deserves it more than these two characters. But, of course, Emily and Alex are also screaming into the void about the Daisy Haites characters (Jonah Hemmes, weâre looking at you!). A breathtaking conclusion full of resilience and healing that promises a permanent place for these characters close to all of our hearts.

In this episode of Lost in Fiction, Emily and Alex dive into Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark, Part I (Chapter 1 to Chapter 44) of a two-part breakdown, covering everything from the beginning of the book through to the heart-wrenching initial reunion between Julian and Magnolia (Chapter 43, weâre looking at you). While this installment hasnât brought the signature chaos just yet, Emily and Alex unpack the subtle emotional weight of the story so far â from the lingering ache of childhood neglect and abandonment to the softer, but still very present, undercurrent of grief. Theyâre quietly surprised by the shift in tone, but donât worry, theyâre still screaming about the real MVP of the series: BJ and his continued commitment to his personal growth. And Magnolia, honey ⊠therapy is calling. Pick up. A beautifully introspective first half that sets the stage for what is sure to be a devastatingly good Part II.

Welcome to the very first Lost in Fiction Book Club episode, where Emily and Alex dive deep into Quicksilver by Callie Hart! This book took them on an exciting ride as they unpack the hype surrounding Kingfisher (did he really help everyone move on from Xaden Riorson?). The book club also fell head over heels for other lovable characters like Carrion and Lorreth. But letâs be real, they were also left feeling a bit... underwhelmed by the world-building and the sometimes overwhelming lore and magical elements. With all the membersâ thoughts, theories, and feelings woven into the conversation, this episode is a true rollercoaster; full of highs, lows, and tons of honest opinions. So whether you are already part of the book club or just curious about the Quicksilver buzz, come join them for an unforgettable discussion with the Lost in Fiction community!

This week on Lost in Fiction, Emily and Alex dive into Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing by Jessa Hastings, the fourth book in the Magnolia Parks Universe. Itâs a wild ride that kept them hooked from start to finish, as they navigated the parallel timeline to The Long Way Home and filled in some crucial gaps. Julianâs blatant denial about his growing love for Magnolia takes centre stage, leading to a heartbreaking journey (even though sheâs still convinced heâs not an art thief!), while Daisy keeps missing Christianâs heartfelt declarations of love. Join Emily and Alex as they explore the complex relationships between characters, have their hearts shattered over and over again, and fall head over heels for this bittersweet story that will stay with you long after the last page.

In this episode of Lost in Fiction, Emily and Alex dive into Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home, and itâs officially earned a spot on their God Tier list. Jessa Hastings has truly outdone herself with this one, taking us all on an emotional rollercoaster as Magnolia and BJ face the heartbreak of constantly missing each other, like two ships passing in the night. Not only did Emily and Alex absolutely love diving deeper into Magnolia and BJ's lore, but they also developed stronger connections to all the characters, who each added their own layer to the story. And as much as theyâre still reeling from Magnolia and BJâs journey, they can't ignore that a certain gang lord has started to slowly steal their hearts and is sure to continue doing so in the next book. A stunning, bittersweet journey that will stick with us all long after the last page.

This week on Lost in Fiction, Emily and Alex dive into Daisy Haites by Jessa Hastings, the second book in her toxic yet gripping Magnolia Parks Universe. The story is packed with another messy love triangle, baby gang lords on every corner, and a questionable redemption arc that leaves them wondering if they actually like Christian now? They discuss the sweet moments of ikea dates, the intrusion of footnotes that might be more distracting than clever, and whether the parallel timelines added some much-needed perspective. Itâs a book that has some compelling moments, but itâs hard to say if it completely pulls them in or leaves them hoping for something more.
