  • On today’s episode we’re discussing journaling: what it is & what can you gain through regularly writing in a journal. Research backs up the benefits of journaling when it comes to reducing anxiety, easing depression, working through trauma and setting goals. If there are stressful situations occurring in your life, journaling trains you to stop and make sense of it all.

Journaling to some might sound trite but expressing your thoughts and feelings through writing can help you gain insight into certain behaviors. Taking the time to reflect on what has happened and why can help you to start identifying patterns and how you contribute to them.

Instead of having all those thoughts tumbling around in your head, to put pen to paper can sort them out. Maybe you thought it was too time-consuming or it felt tedious, or you didn’t think it would help. It can be used to record memories, track habits, and explore feelings and ideas.

And, journaling increases the likelihood that you will achieve your goals.

  • On today’s episode:  Nutrition Wars, we’re asking the question: Why is Society so Diet obsessed? We’re looking at fad diets through the decades & discussing how overwhelming all the conflicting information found on websites & social media platforms has become. • On today’s episode we’re talking about Ikigai – a Japanese philosophical term  referring to something that gives your life meaning, value and purpose. It's the place where your needs, desires, ambitions, and satisfaction meet. A place of balance. It’s feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment that follows when people pursue their passions.

In short, Ikigai encourages people to discover what truly matters to them and to live a life filled with purpose and joy. Ikigai's four primary elements are: what you love - this your passion; what the world needs – your mission; what you’re good at – your vocation and what you can get paid for, your profession. When these are all in alignment – you’ve found your Ikigai.

  • This week we’re talking about perfectionism & why it’s important to stop waiting until you have everything perfect before we start something. Most of us have been there, waiting, holding back until everything is just so. Trying to obtain perfectionism is a form of procrastination & we’ve learnt, it’s more important to just start than it is to have to have all your ducks in a row. So, let’s get started on those goals and/or tasks you’ve been putting off. The perfect time is right now.
