Today we are joined in the studio by actor, artist and creative producer, Jens Radda! Jens is the award-winning creator and star of Skank Sinatra, described a “drag cabaret persona bringing big-band flair and theatrical brilliance to international audiences.”
Jens Radda, aka Skank Sinatra, took time out of his busy schedule to sit down with us to chat more about performance, music, and all things theatre, including his reign as the Mooloolaba Search for a Star winner in 2007.

In Matt's first episode as our new co-presenter, we are joined in the studio by writer/director David Robinson-Smith.
Hailing from Budgewoi NSW, David’s interest in film first started in primary school leading to a stint at the Australian Film Television and Radio School where he directed his Master's film Mudcrab which was a 'Short of the Week' Pick, won a host of national and international awards, and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2024 AACTA Awards.
His followup, We Used to Own Houses, was also critically acclaimed and won Best Short Film at CICLOPE Asia 2024, was nominated for Best Direction in a Short Film at the 2023 Australian Director’s Guild Awards and won Best Short Film, Best Innovation and Best Original Score at the 2024 St Kilda Festival.
We’re so excited to have David join us in the station today to talk about his film career to date, his upcoming feature projects and his latest short, The Shirt Off Your Back which is showing tonight and next Monday, June 9, at the Sydney Film Festival which is on until sunday, June 15th.

You might be familiar with the sound of his voice, holding down the fort from 12-2pm every Sunday since 2023. As a broadcaster, Matt has contributed so much to the station already - both on and off air. His music and guest selections are so considered and a reflection of his impeccable taste and the experiences that have brought him to where he is today.

Today we’re joined in the studio by Sophie Penkethman-Young – artist and digital producer living and working on Gadigal Land Sydney.
Sophie’s work has exhibited at Artspace (2025), Seventh Gallery (2019), Verge Gallery (2021), Liveworks and Mais Wright while she’s produced digital work for the Sydney Opera House, Creative Australia, Carriageworks and Firstdraft as well as right here at FBi!
Sophie’s work deals with how ideas and experiences translate digitally and incorporates mediums like video, essay, sculpture, photography and performance. Sophie’s work has us obsessed with the questions of what separates the organic world from the digital, her digital projects and sculptures invokes feelings of surveillance, the fracturing of the individual into countless duplicates and a whole bunch of other ideas that we get into today!

This week, Béla talks with Wytchings, the solo project of Sydney / Eora based experimental musician and artist Jenny Trinh. Wytchings released her latest solo EP, Fear Is A Cold Star, late 2024.
Jenny is also a member of the experimental, improvisational collective Worlds Only, and recently formed Heart Armour, who's single White Flag, was the Independent Artist of the Week in January.

This week on Out of the Box, Kate Saap is joined by Gadigal-based Choreographer, performer and director Emma Harrison.
Watching Emma perform on the stage, the words visceral, emotional, free-following, experiential and dramatic come to mind. But her creative practice extends even beyond this, with works encompassing voice, film and theatre.
Ahead of the premiere of her show HIGH OCTANE at the Campbelltown Arts Centre on Friday March 28th, we’ve got Emma here to talk about the music and stories that have influenced her life to date, her multidisciplinary practice, reconnecting to the world through our bodies and movement, and which Severance character she looks like (hint: it’s definitely who you think).

Today we are joined by actor, writer and producer (check) Chika Ikogwe. You might recognise Chika’s face from Netflix’s Heartbreak high where for two seasons (going into a third) she plays Series Regular, Josephine ‘Jojo’ Obah – the lead teacher for SLTs (pron. Sluts). Chika has been in whole bunch of projects including ABC’s Mikki vs. The World, feature film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and recently Land of Bad alongside Russel Crowe and Liam Hemsworth.
On stage, Chika has starred in a number of productions including Malthouse’s seven methods of killing kylie jenner and Queensland Theatre’s Fangirls, which later moved to Belvoir. As a writer, Chika has written for the series Bump on Stan in addition to developing her own show, Just Chidi Things (executive produced by Rose Byrne).

Today’s guest has a long and storied history with FBi and we are so stoked to have her join us today. Anna Lunoe is a Eora Born DJ, vocalist, songwriter and producer. Some long time listeners may recognise Anna’s voice from right here on FBi Radio where years ago she began as a volunteer and met her long time friend and ‘Hoops’ collaborator Nina Las Vegas.
Back in Sydney after an 8 year stint in LA, Anna has just recently dropped her debut solo album PEARL and is here today to share with us her auspicious beginnings, the winding and forever evolving path of her music career, her family, culture as a Lebanese and Danish woman and the what’s next on the horizon.
