We're back! After a missed week due to Life™, Cassie and Ross sit down to discuss The Sims Bustin' Out on the GameBoy Advance, a childhood favorite of Cassie's! They focus on the design of the game, how the developers met the challenge (or didn't meet) of adapting a PC game to a handheld format, and the general hilarity of the dialogue and storytelling.

This week on Pitch & Play we break our format yet again to talk more about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom because it's our podcast and we make the rules, OK? Cassie and Ross invite special guest Joe, known Breath of the Wild fan, to gush about Nintendo's latest release and how we just want to spend all of our time in the depths. Cassie closes the episode by pitching yet another banger to Ross, The Sims Bustin' Out for GBA, which he is sure to like and enjoy.

This week on Pitch & Play we change up the format a little! We check in on Cassie's progress on Dragon Age: Origins, which is about a third of the way through (Alistair is the worst). We then turn our attention to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, discussing our feelings on Breath of the Wild and our very early impressions on how the sequel remedies much of our pain points with it.

This week on Pitch & Play, Cassie abuses her privileges of forcing others to play games she likes by making Ross play Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and relive her childhood fantasies of being a cool skateboarder instead of a boring adult. Ross and Cassie dig into the (admittedly sparse) narrative, at times bloated gameplay, and dope soundtrack (can you guess who writes these summaries?). Ross then pitches Dragon Age Origins to Cassie. Our pitch for Dragon Age is extra long as Cassie and Ross attempt to tease out the "best" way to approach a large BioWare RPG — especially one that has been a long time coming for Cassie.

This episode of Pitch & Play covers Rise of the Tomb Raider, the second game in the Tomb Raider "Survivor Trilogy." Cassie and Ross review the at times incoherent (but nevertheless entertaining) narrative, gameplay loop, and expansive side content. Cassie then recommends a game to Ross for our next episode: Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.
-
This week on Pitch & Play, Ross follows through on Cassie's recommendation to play the beleaguered PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order 1886. The two discuss the potential in the premise of the game, its incredible graphics (that still hold up in 2023!), and ultimate failure to deliver a satisfying end product. The episode concludes with Ross's pitch to Cassie for the next episode, Rise of the Tomb Raider, the second game in the Tomb Raider "Survivor Trilogy."
