  • Faith is the basic element intertwined with the human psyche. Jung believed that religion was a natural expression of the collective unconscious.According to him, God is a psychological construct, reflecting an image of our Self.

Recently, the president of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Thema Bryant, pointed out that Faith is an integral part of the practice and research of clinical psychology.

A basic finding is that religion supports people’s need to feel personal control over events in their lives and reduces anxiety in the face of events that are out of their control or that simply do not meet their expectations.

Kelley Tyan explored a similar concept in her book One Prayer. In this episode, Kelley and I will discuss the psychological aspect of Faith and its importance in our lives.

  • The connection between mind and muscle is extremely crucial toachieve peak performance mentally and physically.

During physical work or exercise, fatigue is thought to be caused by metabolic reactions and build-ups that occur, but actually, fatigue is also heavily influenced beyond musculature safe zones by the mental aspect. The brain and efferent neural pathways regulate the degree of locomotion to make sure maximal muscle capacity is never utilized. This is a result of inhibitory processes.

In this episode, Markus and I will explore the notion that true strength is not just about what you can lift or how far you can run but also about the mental resilience that propels you forward. It's about cultivating a mindset that not only navigates challenges but transforms them into stepping-stones toward success.
