This week we're back with another long form interview with a Pro Wrestling legend! This time it's none other than Soul Train Jones/Virgil/Vincent.
Love him or hate him, it's never boring when you're with Virgil! His stories are legendary and he doesn't let us down.
We cover his AWA days teaming with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Father Rocky Johnson. We fast track to his early WWE days while also touching upon his bouts with very different superstars - Bret Hart and Giant Gonzalez! We then travel to WCW where he was the 5th member of the NWO before chatting Curley Bill!
What's he up to now? Tune in and find out!
Spoiler: He also talks graphically about seeing his own birth and reads some of the cities of Canada off a map. This is big. -
This week we have the pleasure of presenting our exclusive interview with the WWE, ECW and WCW legend Raven!
We cover so much in this interview including:
His relationship with Stevie Richards
The difference between calling a match in the ring versus rehearsing a match in advance,
His advice to AJ Styles and Frankie Kazarian after "that finish"
Just how good does Raven believe AJ Styles is?
Raven's booking in ECW.
Would Raven like a managerial role in AEW?
Who had the better DDT - Raven or Jake the Snake - and how best to deliver it?
Who took the best DDT?
Why Shane McMahon should have played Johnny Polo and not Raven.
Why Vince McMahon did not approve of his relationship with Shane.
His tour with Irish Whip Wrestling and teaming with Sheamus.
Irish Druids and Mushroom sex parties (yes, really).
This is an interview like no other!

Like every other wrestling fan in the world, we're celebrating thirty years of the Undertaker!
His career spanned from 1990 to 2020 and there will never be another performer quite like the Dead Man.
To put our own spin on things, we've decided to specifically deep dive into his World Title wins. Fittingly, there are seven of them and each of them tell their own story of just where the Undertaker was in both his career and life at the time.
We'll tangle with Hulk Hogan on two occasions, we'll meet Sycho Sid and then we'll head to the most controversial PPV in wrestling history (the night Owen Hart died) as Taker battled Stone Cold Steve Austin. Then we jump to the re-birth of Undertaker where he certainly had his greatest matches as an in ring performer and we meet Batista, Edge and CM Punk.
This is an episode like no other as Takers career jumps from the cartoonish, to the graphic, to the ridiculous and to the sublime.
Thank you Taker! -
This week your hosts interview the "Worlds Most Dangerous Man", UFC Hall of Famer, former WWE intercontinental champion and current Impact superstar - the one, the only, Mr. Ken Shamrock.
We mark out to many of Ken's legendary stories as we start the journey in Japan, leading to UFC 1 and then onto WWE as he became a household name across the world.
Ken is a bare-knuckle boxing promoter, prowrestler and retired Mixed Martial Artist. He is currently a main event player at Impact Wrestling and indeed had an Impact World Title shot 24 hours after recording. He has headlined over 15 main event and co-main events in UFC.
Most of all, Ken is a great guy who had one hell of an upbringing. He's extremely candid, open and honest.
Enjoy. -
This week we are circling back to late 1999 when one of the greatest performers of all time would make his debut. Kurt Angle's introduction to Pro-wrestling was like no other!
Not only did Kurt take to wrestling like a fish to water, wrestling also took to him and our Olympic Hero embarked on the greatest 12 months in wrestling history - potentially never to be surpassed.
We'll cross paths with The Rock, Chris Jericho, Rikishi, Chris Benoit, Tazz, The Undertaker, HHH, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Stasiak, Tiger Ali Singh and many more.
This is the Greatest Rookie Year in Pro-wrestling history! -
This week we go into overtime as we return to our hero Lex Luger (for the very last time) as he leaves WCW and heads towards WWE, taking a pitstop through Vince McMahon's World Bodybuilding Federation along the way.
It's hard to imagine any wrestler ever again having a push like Lex Luger received in the Summer of 1993 and even harder to imagine weirder booking than what followed. Lex Luger's career hits so many beats that it's hard to keep up.
In this action packed episode, we're covering The Narcissist, Lex Express Tour, Summerslam 1993, Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect, Royal Rumble 1994, Tatanka, Bret Hart, Ludvig Borga, Mall of America, WCW, Hulk Hogan and Miss Elizabeth.
This is a ridiculously action packed episode that also sees the end of a long term SFTF's storyline. You can't beat long term booking! -
This week your co-hosts Ciarán and Niall commence the debate as to whether 'The Total Package' Lex Luger has had a Hall of Fame worthy career.
We look at his debut in the NWA and Jim Crockett Promotions before it becomes Ted Turner's WCW.
We focus in on Lex's record breaking US Title Run, his incredible partnership and feud with the Four Horsemen - Ric Flair, JJ Dillon, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson before commencing a WCW World title run of his own. We'll also bump into Nikita Koloff, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons and Sting along the way.
Most importantly - this is the episode where your co-hosts opinions are bitterly divided. Can they agree to disagree? -
We're back!
In our first episode of Season 2 we go way back to the late 1980's when Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage were flying high at the top of the wrestling world. Randy Savage has just come off an incredible intercontinental run while Hogan is a household name. What better booking than having them join forces and form the most mega of powers! Of course, Miss Elizabeth is in the mix too but are Hogan's motives genuine or is Randy Savage simply paranoid?
Spoiler - The Megapowers may explode.
We also cover Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Miss Elizabeth, Ted Dibiase, Virgil, Andre the Giant, The Twin Towers (Akeem/Bossman), Jesse the Body Ventura, Harley Race and many more! -
For our extended Season 1 finale, we bring you a very special Wrestlemania XV review as we are joined by Michael Verney (Irish Independent journalist/Off the Ball/OurGame contributor) and John Morton (Actor and Writer of the upcoming, soon-to-be-hit, TV Drama 'Dead Still').
We dissect the entire event from the seedy under-card to the main event and this PPV has some major highs, major lows and tonnes of laughs along the way. Oh you didn't know?
Of course the infamous and bizarre 'hanging incident' of the Big Bossman is covered and the main event features a Wrestling Mt. Rushmore moment as The Rock faces Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF title.

In our penultimate episode of the Season, we commence a Scheduled for Two Falls mini-series of Rivalries, starting with one of the biggest rivalries in wrestling history - Bret 'Hitman' Hart and Shawn Michaels.
Unlike many rivalries in wrestling, much of this rivalry occurred outside of the ring and the battle for mutual respect would lead to one of the most controversial incidents in sports entertainment history.
We discuss the parallels of their early career, the Hart Foundation, The Rockers, their love affairs with the Intercontinental Title, ladder matches, Iron man matches - you name it.
Of course, all roads lead to the Montreal Screwjob and unfortunately Bret has a one way ticket to WCW. -
Oh what a rush! This week your hosts dive back to the late 1980's and early 1990's to revisit every tag team title change in the WWE during what many consider to be the GREATEST era of all time for tag team wrestling.
We're talking Brainbusters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard), Hart Foundation, Demolition, Legion of Doom, Nasty Boys, Quebecers, Steiner Brothers, Money Inc and the Natural Disasters. Some non-champions like the Bushwackers, High Energy and The Rockers get some special mentions too.
This episode is high flying, action packed and jammed with some classic audio clips for maximum nostalgia! -
This week is all about Ric Flair, the REAL World's Heavyweight Champion and his debut in WWF all the way to his Wrestlemania VIII title match against Randy Savage.
That means we are covering the 1992 Royal Rumble!
We'll chat Bobby Heenan, Roddy Piper, Vince McMahon's booking and of course the immortal Hulk Hogan and refusing to do the job for Ric Flair at Wrestlemania - or did he?
This is an action packed episode full of all your favourite Ric Flair soundbytes from the era.

In light of the immense popularity of 'The Last Dance' on Netflix, this week we are deep diving into the bizarre yet perfect combination of basketball hall of famer Dennis 'The Worm' Rodman and Pro Wrestling.
Spanning over five years, we discuss his debut in WCW in 1995 under the red and yellow of Hulk Hogan before he would controversially return in 1997 and 1998 as a fully fledged member of the NWO. All while still trying to win the NBA Championship finals with the Chicago Bulls! Finally we discuss his final match (and first singles match) against the Macho Man in 1999.
We'll be talking Vader, the Babes of Baywatch, Karl Malone, DDP, Randy Savage and Eric Bishchoff.
"What you gonna do when Rodzilla runs wild all over you, brother!" -
This week we cover one of most chaotic years in wrestling history.
We start in May 1997 and follow Mick Foley's 12 month odyssey from Mankind to Dude Love to Cactus Jack and back to Dude Love.
We open the show with those infamous JR sit down interviews with Mankind, detour towards Dude Love/Steve Austin and the tag team titles before taking a pitstop at the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. Finally we wrap things up 12 months later by deep diving into one of the most under-rated PPV main events of all time - Dude Love v. Steve Austin at Over the Edge 1998.
There's simply so much to discuss this week that there is no time for the State of Wrestling!

In this weeks episode Ciarán and Niall are discussing all things Bret Hart and his early 1990's love affair with the intercontinental Title!
We start a couple years earlier during his flirtation with the title followed by an in depth analysis of that famous 12 months from the Summer of 1991 to the Summer of 1992 when Bret Hart showcased some of the all time greatest matches the WWE has ever seen. We're talking Mr. Perfect, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and The British Bulldog (plus the Honky Tonk Man and The Mountie!)
In this weeks The State of the Union/Wrestling/Nation, we discuss the new era of cinematic wrestling matches and the upcoming Money in the Bank. Plus, we say the word Boneyard a lot. -
This week is all about Jake 'The Snake' Roberts!
Your hosts have gone back to the archives to watch Jake in action against George Wells, Ric Rude, Andre the Giant, Ted Dibiase, Ric Martel, The Undertaker and of course three very unique opponents at Wrestlemania 12.
We discuss the uniqueness of Jake and Vince McMahon's vision to showcase him regularly on the grandest stage of them all - Wrestlemania. What set Jake above the rest and why did he never carry the world title and despite the raw talent, why did he seemingly underachieve? We've also included one of Jake's most inspiring promos for you to truly soak up his greatness.
In this weeks State of the Nation/Wrestling/Union, we look into some of the recent releases from WWE during the Covid-19 pandemic and what the future holds for some major superstars on the global scene.
