  • In this episode, we totally break with tradition and have shared the raw, unfiltered version with you. When I went back to edit, there was just too much amazing background conversation that I really wanted to share.

Kimberly Braun had been a guest previously. As a TED X speaker, mystic, teacher, author, former nun, minister, and so much more, we had a heart expanding conversation on episode #66 that ended up talking about her experience with chanting.
I've been curious about chanting for a while and really wanted to go deeper with this, so asked her to come back on the show and share some chants with us.

As we prepared, we ended up talking in beautiful detail about what the chants mean, the history and origin of each chant and the best way to experience them.

So not only will you get the opportunity to experience several different kind of chants, but you'll have some further insight into what feelings they may evoke and what the intentions were behind them.

What a beautiful gift for Kimberly to come back and share this with us. I really leaned in to the feelings and experience and loved every minute. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

  • From the moment I met Damla, she exuded a real calming energy. And that's exactly what she does. She work to create calm, peace and healing though energetic work including inner child exploration, journaling and crystal connecting.
In our interview we touch on many ways to heal and connect with our souls, exploring the idea that our wounds are not here to make our lives painful, but rather to show us our light, to lead us directly to our highest and truest potential.

In the episode we get into:

Getting beyond living through out minds and bodiesTapping into our energetic beingHow crisis can be a calling to guide us to exactly where we need to healHow to be proactive in our energetic wellness rather than waiting for rock bottomsOur inner child an energetic being to connect withPast life and ancestral patterns and wounds and how to heal themHow our wounds manifest in the body Why it's important to first connect with your inner child before getting into healing Why our wounds are our gifts and our entrypoint into our true potentialHow our children are specially designed to heal us rather than us healing themWhy it's so important we each need to have the dignity and growth opportunity to heal our own woundsJournaling as a spiritual practice and a connection to your soul Connecting with crystals in your healing practice

I had always worked under the assumption that healing is a practice or a way to get rid of trauma or pain. This interview really opened me up to the concept of full acceptance of ourselves and the understanding that it ALL is showing us our light. What a magical and revolutionary lens through which to view life.

  • As a people pleaser, I know how complicated it is. It feels like it's part of who we are and how we like to give and show up for others. But when can it be not so good for us, or even not so good for those that we care most about? When does it get unhealthy, inauthentic, and maybe even keep us stuck and unhappy in ways?
In this interview with Amy Smith Green - who is amazing - we discuss WHY we people please, how to feel into when it's not serving you, beginning to notice when you do it, how to shift so that you can operate from your highest, best version of yourself and feel deeper calm, happiness AND connection.

In the episode we get into:

Why we feel like it's more important to make others happy over ourselvesHow to communicate your truth with grace and kindness How to balance your wishes for your kids with allowing them to be their authentic unique selvesWhy it's important to become comfortable being a disappointmentThe big connection between worthiness and speaking our truthWhy we feel safe with the people who set boundariesWhere emotional intelligence fits in with people pleasing How our emotions are messengers telling us important information, but isn't a reflection of our worthinessWhy it's so important to give the people we love the opportunity to be what we need by communicating honestlyWhy delivery of your message is the key to getting what you wantWhy fear responses don't work and why we do themHow to use vulnerability to set the energetic tone in conflictWhy conversational consent (timing!) can totally change a difficult convoHow to teach your kids it's ok to express anger in safe and appropriate waysWhy the container of how you hold a high conflict topic is crucial to having a healthy and respectful conversation

SO many of us fall back on people pleasing and there are times when it feels good and works! But there are also times when we may want to look at giving ourselves permission to be honest and real, and by doing so, we're creating much deeper and more meaningful connection.
A lot to think about and so much to open up to!

  • Living authentically, on purpose. How would that actually feel? Letting go of all the ways we think we're supposed to live and finally allowing ourselves to be truly free...
Have you ever thought about what this would mean for you? Or how it could totally transform your life and how you feel? In this interview with life coach, spiritual guide and all around beautiful person, Colleen Coles, we get into the heart and soul of stepping fully into your life and how to actually do it.

In the episode we get into:

Why sticking things out isn't always the best choice and how shame can keep us stuck on a path that isn't serving us anymoreWhat happens when we realize choosing to live life doing things that make us happy is an optionWhat would it look like if you just did what made you happy? Why we end up living life as we THINK we should rather than what's authenticThe different ways men and women respond to stressHow to avoid guilt and shame when we set boundariesFrom Catholicism to Spirituality and how it can all blend togetherGetting in flow with nature, God and your own authenticityHow to life in feminine flow and manifesting from our feminine energyWhen you feel like you can't trust yourself because you've made mistakesWhen we make mistakes which are aligned with our truth, there won't be shame around themWhy radical self compassion is so importantHow do you know the difference between intuition and fearBecoming our most spiritual selves by being human

This was so soul filling and is such a beautiful invitation to really get clear about our desires, where we're blocking or holding back and how we can tap into living our best life ever.

  • We all have childhood trauma of some kind. Even if it wasn't trauma with a capital T, we each had needs which weren't met which can be subconsciously driving us to unhealthy patterns and behaviours. Although these behaviours may have served to keep us safe at some point, they may be sabotaging our adult lives and drawing us into unhealthy dynamics which are difficult to understand and break free from.

In this episode with Susan Gold, life coach, author and all around beautiful person, Susan shares her story about growing up with difficult family dynamics and how it affected her life. She shares the power of subconscious patterns that can influence who we connect with and how we go through life, and the ways she shifted hers in order to find her peace, her purpose and even soul filling love.

    In the episode we cover:

How to heal after growing up with dysfunctional family dynamicsWhy we keep playing out our roles we had in childhood and how they can create disfunction later in life How your biggest lessons can become your greatest gurusWhen we push down trauma it stays with us until we choose to heal itHow our trauma guides us to certain unhealthy dynamics in relationshipsHow empaths feel deeply and where that can cause issues in relationshipsWhy the universe provides a rock bottom and how it's actually an opportunity for an awakening, not a punishmentWhy sometimes the wakeup calls can be really hard to see Why embracing your trauma is the way to evolve through itHow we can shift out of victim into appreciationA simple way to bring yourself back to the present moment

It can be hard to be honest with ourselves about our hurt and trauma. But through intentional and compassionate honesty, we have the opportunity to transmute our greatest pain into healing and so much more.

  • In this episode author JJ Digeronimo gets real about being real with ourselves. So often we can get caught up in the going and doing of life, taking us down a fast moving path where we miss so many of the things that are really important to us and may not even be where we want to be going anyway anymore.
Sometimes, we haven't even checked to see if the life we we are living is aligned with who we are.

JJ shares her story about waking up and connecting with her authentic truth and why it's so important for us to live intentional lives that we love. Her book Seeking is a beautiful way to start, as well as just hearing her talk about how she became connected to herself, found her own inner light and how she helps others do the same.

In the episode we talk about:

The importance of shifting from survival to thrivingHow we forget to align life with joy and how to shift backWhy we sometimes forget who we are and why we’re here and how to get back to itWhat energetics are and how they can affect your lifeHow mindfulness can create purpose and fulfillmentWhy everyone (including men) should tap into more of their feminine energy hint – it’s about allowing and feelingWhy driving hard makes us feel unfulfilledHow to pull a thought from your head to your heartHow perfectionism keeps us from deep connection

We hit a lot of deep topics, but the heart of our convo centered around when we slow down and connect with ourselves, we give ourselves the opportunity to take stock of who we are and how we want to live, which then gives us the beautiful invitation for transformational change.
We all deserve a soul filling life, but the first crucial part is to slow down and tap in to even know what that is.

  • I LOVE my Hermes bracelet. My girlfriends gave it to me on my birthday and it symbolizes so much more than the beautiful piece of jewelry that it is. To mean it feels like friendship, connection, my old life in Florida, good wine, boat rides, raising our kids, long phone calls, shopping trips to Sassy Boutique, tennis matches on clay courts, days at the beach, drinks at the tiki bar, great memories, laughter, and girlfriends who have stood by me through anything and everything and make me feel like coming home every single time I visit.

In this episode I have the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Aaron Ahuvia, professor at University of Michigan at Dearborn, who is also author of the book The Things We Love and all around world renowned expert on psychology of brand love.

We start our convo talking about our connection to things, which was the original intention of the interview, but we end with healing stories and discussion about the importance of compassion for ourselves.
Of course. It always goes there, doesn't it?

    Some highlights we get into:

What luxury brands really mean to us and what they symbolize to othersWhy only the bravest men will drive mini vansHow people fall in love with each other and how we present ourselves in the dating worldWhat are the similarities in the way we love people and the way we love thingsWhat the best brands invoke within usWhy loving the things you already own is the key to happiness What you really learn about yourself by realizing/noticing what things you loveHow to clear out the energy in items that an ex gave youOur ability to be fluid in our beliefs and in lifeA better way to view mistakes than self criticism

I thought this conversation was going to be about love and the difference between loving people and things. Wow, was I wrong. It was a deep dive into SOOO much more.

  • In this episode Benjamin Bernstein (who read my natal/astrology chart in episode 52) is back to share his incredible tools - Instant Devine Assistance Invocations.

Definition of Invocation: The summoning of a deity or the supernatural for assistance

Benjamin has written a book called Instant Divine Assistance (available on Amazon) about how we each have the power to summon the divine within ourselves to call in peace, joy, healing, and a good dose of yummy bliss any old time we want to.
    Daily? Yes please!

In the episode we talk about:

What is an embodied awakening Why surrendering is the key to calling in what you wantThe story of how Benjamin discovered his embodied awakening invocationCalling on our highest self and what it can do for youExperiencing daily bliss all on your own How to peel back the layers of what we know to allow our true essence to emergeHow pain and trauma blocks our natural state of harmony, flow and graceWhat is shadow work and why it's important to face it head onFacing, healing and releasing trauma for goodHow to connect to the divine withinWhy allowing is not being passiveHow accountability comes into playWhat to do when you get triggered and how embodied awareness can help

This practice is SO simple and SO powerful. Benjamin actually guides me through an invocation ON the episode. It felt incredibly healing and put me into a very relaxed and calm state. And the best part is it's fast, easy and I can do it anytime and anywhere all on my own. What an incedible tool.

  • At a recent party a close friend of mine asked me if I had gotten hot flashes yet. My response was: "I don't know, what does that feel like? How would I know." She laughed and then responded - "OHHHHH honey, you would KNOW!"

This sparked my interest in menopause and perimenopause. I basically knew liternally nothing. This was not something my mom EVER mentioned and my friends haven't really talked much about it either. So this episode was truly inspired by me wanting to know what to expect. What happens to our bodies? When does it start? What can we do to make it easier/better/less....hard?

In this episode I interview Integrative Health Practitioner Sheryl Carroll who is younger than me (by a FEW years!) and has become an expert on perio/menopause as a result of her own experience.

In the episode we talk about:

The difference between perimenopause and menopauseWhen do symptoms start and how can we reduce the impact of themHow genetics vs lifestyle factor inWhen does perimenopause start and whyWhat are things that can make it worseHow stress affects menopauseWhich hormones are changing and howStages of perimenopauseThe age ranges that perimenopause can start What are symptoms of perio menopause and menopauseHow HRT works and how to know if it’s right for youWhat supplements and herbs can help the most

This conversation covers SO much on this topic, most importantly, that there are things we can do TODAY to slow down the arrival of menopause and we have lots of choices how to handle it when it arrives. There is zero reason this needs to be such a mystery and there are a TON of resources out there. So reassuring.

  • After a devastating diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in her mid 20's, Traci Hill decided to make some changes. Through health and wellness focused experimentation and practices, she completely changed her life and is now totally symptom free.

Traci healed herself by starting with healing her heart, and the results were nothing short of remarkable. Along the way she realized that the power to change and choose better was inside of her and she had been giving away that power her entire life. The beauty of that?

In the episode we talk about:

How important it is to take charge of your own wellness and healingThe body’s incredible ability to heal itself through intention and emotional well beingHow when we decide for ourselves how we want to feel and live we become empowered in our livesHow to release trapped emotions and how it can lead to physical healingConnecting to your intuition as a roadmap to healingWhy becoming heart centered is so important and how it can change the way you feel Reconnecting to your feminine energy and why it’s importantA simple, easy first step to feeling better immediately Handling changing relationships during your own healing/growth journeyHow our energy connects to others and shifts and changes with our healingWhy love, peace and joy are so much easier than we make it out to be

Traci's story is incredibly inspiring. Who knew that we held so much power over our own happiness, health and overall wellbeing? What a beautiful reminder that we ALWAYS have the power to change our lives and make it better. And the first step is to realize it.

  • Does your relationship fulfill you on a soul level? Do you connect with your partner in a conscious, deep way? Are you unsure about how to even start that conversation?

Many relationships struggle to find deeper connection. Our busy, fast paced lives make slowing down and connecting meaningfully difficult, but the amazing news is - it IS possible - whether your relationship is new or you've been together a long time - it just takes a little courage, patience and intention.

So how do you make it happen? What's the best way to offer the invitation in a heart centered, loving way that feels authentic, safe and allows vulnerability, creating that trust and openness?

In this interview with Marc Wendt, we peel back the layers about intimacy and connection in relationships. We discuss the complexities of what most men really want and how to better understand what they're feeling. Marc shares practical ways to invite deeper discussions, how to gently nudge your partner (and yourself!) down the path to closer connection, leading to deeper intimacy. You may be surprised to realize that your partner is probably craving it just as much as you are.

Some of the areas we hit:

How to get connected into our bodies and why this helps us tap into our emotionsWhy becoming aware of our emotions actually makes us more powerfulHow breath work brings us into self-awareness and is the beginning of creating intimacy with another personWhere gratitude comes in and how it creates connectionWhy requests can feel like complaintsWhat emotional intelligence is and how to get itWhy tragedy is often the gateway to connecting to emotions for menWhy it’s important to allow our partners to express themselves without having to fix itWhat is courageous curiosity and how it can really open up your relationshipThe importance of entering into creating intimacy with an open heart and assuming good Remembering it’s a practice - the more you do it, the more depth you getWhat are triggers and how to regulate the nervous system through breathing like navy seals do

This interview was so inspiring. It made me realize that intimacy and connection truly is a practice. It takes time, patience, willingness and openness, but it really IS possible and most of the time it's what everyone involved truly - down to their soul - is really craving. It's a delicate dance to get there, but SOOOO worth the effort and is a precious gift to share with someone you love deeply.

We all deserve beautiful, soul filling, heart centered, deep, connected, love. The pathway there begins through becoming aware of ourselves, knowing it's available, committing to it and then - here's the hardest part- actually opening up to it.
This episode dives into this complex and nuanced topic in detail.
