God is not an enemy of enjoyment!
Christianity rather than limit us, expands our understanding of the type of fun that is truly enjoyable, and we realize how much joy following Jesus can bring.
Yes, God wants us to spend time with Him alone in constant communication, conversation and prayer but, He also wants us to have friends, He wants us to socialize. He wants us to have wholesome relationships so that we can live wholesome lives. Jesus had friends, a lot of them infact. Jesus went out, He socialized. His first public miracle was at a wedding party but in all of this, He never committed any sin.
So of course, enjoy yourself within the confines of sense and reason. Enjoy yourself within the confines of God because, obedience to God is what allows for true freedom. -
Tolerance is essential in an imperfect world. Without it, nations might go to war over simple human imperfections, friendships may crumble and families may fall apart but - tolerance is often thrown around today with a meaning that is far from its original definition.
Tolerance properly defined, is good and necessary but like most good things, it has its limits. -
Do you ever have those moments where there’s something on your mind, whether heavily or in passing, but you don’t bring it up in your prayer because you think God wouldn’t be interested in knowing that so, there is no point wasting His time?
The truth is this; everything about you and everything that concerns you is important to God. -
Look out from yourselves, look out to others, even when it’s hard - Especially when it’s hard.
In essence, leave a little sparkle wherever you go!
