i've compiled a list, a very special list, of things that i've been enjoying recently. it takes me a long time to build a new list of things that i'm enjoying - hence why we only get two or three of these a year. but i'm at that point. my list is long. so let's get into my current list of things i'm loving right now.

[video available on spotify] today, we're talking about sex, which is funny because i am not known as a super sexual person. i'm somebody who could not have a more cookie-cutter sort of sexual experience. i'm a monogamous dater. i'm also somebody who doesn't love casual sex. i've never experimented in any open relationships. and this is why i’m excited to speak with lori beth bisbey. lori is a sex and intimacy expert and psychologist. she also hosts the podcast, “the a to z of sex.” we’re gonna talk about non-monogamous relationships, kinks, fetishes and more. so let’s welcome lori beth bisbey.
you can listen to lori's book, "dancing the edge to reclaiming your reality" here: https://open.spotify.com/show/7mXEAidEahV3sjuUzEt17r?si=ff7e879691af4f18

this episode is about to be very weird and meta because i'm going to be discussing a life lesson that i learned from making this podcast. and the reason why this is going to be weird and meta is because i rarely discuss what goes into making this podcast. it’s about realizing that i tried to fix something that wasn’t broken, and how it led me to a confusing place.

[video available on spotify] today, i’m feeling a little more energized than usual because it's not often that i'm in the presence of a pop star - charli xcx aka charlotte atchison. are you kidding me? she runs her own label, directs music videos, co-manages developing artists, and has collaborated with so many incredible, talented people: blondie, selena gomez, gwen stefani, camila cabello, shawn mendes, benny blanco, david guetta… the list goes on. charli’s latest album, her sixth, is called “brat” and comes out tomorrow. if making music wasn't enough, she'll soon be making her acting debut in the horror film, “faces of death.” i would consider charli a friend, however, i've never talked to her about her work before. so i'm excited to learn more about her creative brain. without further ado, let me bring in the iconic charli xcx.

[video available on spotify] this is a very full circle moment because today i'm bringing on the two people i spoke to when i went on my very first podcast, cody ko and kelsey kreppel. cody is the host of the podcast insanely chill, and kelsey hosts the podcast, circle time. they are truly some of my closest friends. cody and kelsey also happen to be married and they recently became parents for the first time. i’m excited to talk to them about parenting because i think a lot about having a child, and i have many questions. so let’s bring them in.

when you're young, birthdays are exciting because it means that you're unlocking new, adult activities. you're unlocking new mature responsibilities. this year, i turned 23 and realized that's over for me. depending on who you are, birthdays after a certain point can become even more exciting or even more daunting. personally, i'm pretty neutral. but i will say that it feels like societally we are afraid of aging. growing up, i saw endless anti-aging commercials - anti-aging facial moisturizers, anti-aging supplements, etc. we've grown up watching people cover up their aging, so i think it makes sense why societally some of us are afraid of it.

for the past 10 years, i've refused to throw myself a birthday party and this year was no different. i just turned 23 and i made the decision that once again i was not going to throw myself a birthday party. and it's kind of weird because i actually enjoy birthday parties. but my god, do i hate throwing one for myself.

[video available on spotify] in honour of my favorite fashion event of the year, the met gala, i've come to the vogue office in new york city to speak to sergio kletnoy. he’s the global entertainment director at vogue magazine where he oversees celebrity bookings. i'm excited to talk to Sergio today because i feel like we all have our assumptions about the fashion world: what it means to be in the fashion world and what it means to work in it. we're gonna be discussing what it's like to work behind the scenes in fashion as well as details around the met gala, because obviously it's the biggest fashion event of the year. so i present to you, sergio.

when i deleted tiktok two or three years ago, i truly believed in my core that i would never in a million years redownload the app. and now here i am, redownloading the app. i feel a little bit hypocritical because i made such a stink about deleting it and damning it as being evil. i also feel a bit embarrassed about going back on my word. but i am. i'm going back on tiktok.
