Today we were joined by Craig Ward from Talk Plus, a mental health service based in North East Hampshire. Craig specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT.
This follows on from our episode with Hannah King and tries to break down some of the barriers for people accessing mental health services - we talk about what to expect when you first make contact, the services available and Craig gives us some tips on how we can help our friends and family, if you we think they are struggling.
You can find out more about Talk Plus by visiting www.talkplus.org.uk where they have information on how to get in contact with them, as well as some really useful self-help resources. If you are not based in NE Hampshire, type in IAPT to any search engine and this will bring up a link to NHS England so you can find services local to you.

In this episode we recap our session with Hannah King with Jerome taking us through some of the realities of modern day policing and its impact on mental health. Stevo tells about his experience having contracted COVID. How average our country is at sports we created and Eddie takes us through this week's weird news.
-
In this episode we start to dig deeper on mental health, Hannah tells us about her struggles with Post Natal Depression and long road to recovery, we talk (ironically) about why men struggle to ask for help, the impact of social media and Jerome's personal thoughts on how policing has been affected over the last 12 months.
We could have easily talked for another hour on this subject, so we will be inviting Hannah back in the future to continue the discussion.
But it would not be a complete episode without Will's question for all of our special guests - he upped his game this time, can you tell?
