A colossal explosion rings out from Von Richten's Tower, the wagon outside booby trapped to ward off would-be thieves. The blast echoes across the woods, and in the distance, the sound of wolves howling echo right back. Trapped in the tower, surrounded, Call the Lightning makes a bold decision that changes the fate of the party forever... The Blade's Edge pierces our hearts once again, and it digs in deeper than ever.
-
Call The Lightning bravely sets off from Vallaki only to return half an hour later. Over at Bloodbath and Beyond, we're tempted to become Disciples of Steve, but resist. Maybe next time! Onward, to Von Richten's Tower!
-
Call the Lightning has a moment to rest following the battle at the Lady Watcher's house. A celebration after a grueling brawl. A solo-mission in the rain. Alma promises a date with Yevgeni next time she comes back to the city. Call the Lightning begins to cultivate some semblance of optimism and hope as they party their last night away in Vallaki.
But with this optimism comes the inevitable reminder of where we are. Barovia, the land where the sun hasn't shined in centuries.
One millions stars up in the sky. One shines brighter, I cannot deny this. Love so precious, love so true. Love that comes from Yevgeni, to you.
-
The party finds themselves deep in the heart of Vallaki's corruption, tracking Lady Fiona Watcher to her estate after the chaos of the Festival of the Blazing Sun. Justice is in their hands, but their pursuit leads them straight into the depths of her cult’s ritual chamber—where a massive bone devil, cultists, and undead horrors await. Live, Laugh, Love, Lathander!
-
Come take a break from the drama and terror for a silly fun time sesh w/ the gang as we chat about what's gone down so far. Later, we create the legendary Jimothy, our very missing friend and former student who is now certainly old as hell.
-
After a grueling battle with less casualties than anticipated, Call the Lightning reconciles with their actions. Lady Watcher is sowing discord in the name of Strahd, and we just can't stand for that. If we fight each other, Strahd wins - that's what she wanted. Amidst the drama and the faeries tales, D'issan hits a Nat 20 Poop Check. We're so back.
-

-
The battle against Strahd in the church heats up! Vicar Jim goes super saiyan, Alma stares down the Count, death saves are rolled as vampires surround us... this visit to Vellaki got hands!
-
Our squad, freshly assembled with Ireena Kolyana and Ismark the Lesser, travel the Count's Realm towards Vellaki. We ride towards a gate, pulled in our wagon by the two best boys Tenacious D. A supply-laden cart beyond a gate heads towards us from up the road. The gate opens and a certain servant of Strahd appears...
-
The gang chugs some wine and ale with Ismark, we play a ton of poker hands and discuss our mutual disdain of Strahd von Zarovich.
-
Once, he was Vesz'rak Baen'val, Acolyte of the Spider Mommy. Now, recently arisen as D'issan, our boy Tommy interrogates Dorru with the conviction of Lathander newest acolyte. Can the Light's freshest Paladin see into the blood-thirsting heart of this cursed man?

There comes a struggle in every D&D player's life where what you want to do, what you have to do, and what the dice enable to you do collide in dramatic fashion. In our Battle at the Bonegrinder, our beloved Pointy Ear Gang had some of the highest highs, and the lowest lows of the campaign thus far. We left last week with death saves, bisections, unexpected allies and a whole lot of drama.
It's a new dawn in Barovia, and the story... goes... on...
It's Halloween week, folks! Hope y'all are gettin' up to some spooky ghastly ghoulish good times and enjoying the podcast so far! We're up over 1000 downloads officially, wahooo! That's pretty great, so much love to our Patrons <3 What's your favorite Pointy Ear Gang moment from the first dozen episodes? Toss your thoughts in the comments below!
-
After our long break and an extra silly session, the Pointy Ear Gang made their way through the woods, towards the windmill on the precipice, where the treasure foretold by the tarokka cards was said to be found. Enchanting pastries? Check. Gil making pasta? Check..? Some freaky grandmas? Triple check! How will the Pointy Ear Gang survive a level 4 encounter with a coven of hags, you ask?
The answer may surprise you... hold onto your hearts, because this one goes hard
-
Oh, we are soooo back. The Pointy Ear Gang experienced a temporary setback at the hands of the BBEG that torments every adventuring party - the notorious Demon Lord Sche'du'ling - and have escaped their dreaded clutches to bring you episode 11 of our Curse of Strahd campaign.
The gang was triumphant atop the precipice of Yester Hill, thwarting the plans of Strahd and preventing Wintersplinter from coming into form. The effigy crumbled to the ground at the hands of Vesz'rak, who seized the Gem, hopefully securing a future for Wizard of Wines. We befriended the Druids of Yester Hill and the Berserkers of Kavan, as as the scope of our allies grew larger, so too did the bonds between our heroes.
We hope you enjoy the episode as we make our way eastward towards the village of Barovia.
-
Today, we take another deep dive into the world of some of D&D's favorite villains. This time, Stardock gazes into the Abyss, towards Graz'zt, Demon Prince of Decadence, pleasure, and self-indulgence. What deliciously depraved desires does he have to show us... I'm sure he'd wouldn't be opposed to some voyeurism.

Ever wondered what it would be like to play as a major DnD villain? Been curious about what a day in the life of these nefarious and evil creatures entails? With this new series we seek to answer those questions. First up, the Devil himself…well, more like A Devil. Bel, the Warlord of Avernus, the first Layer of hell. Think of him as the Devil’s arms dealer. I wonder what he’s up to today…
