Growing up in the Australian country town of Albury, Zarlie Goldsworthy always had a love for any sport she could get her hands on.
In fact, it was soccer that she had fallen in love with from a young age.
But after moving to the city when she was just 15, she associated burnout with soccer and lost her passion for the game.

Sam Bloom is a four-time para surfing world champion.
But it was with the help of a magpie named penguin that she found her way there.
Growing up by the beach, Sam always had a strong connection with the ocean. But after an accident left her paralysed and in a dark place, it was Sam’s companion Penguin that helped reignite that love for the water.
So much so, that she won two Australian Para-canoeing titles, and represented Australia at the Para-Canoeing World Championships.
But she eventually found her way back to the Ocean, winning gold at the World Para-Surfing Championships, not once but four times, including most recently this year.
This chat shows that sometimes you have to dig really deep to find your inner strength, but sometimes a feathered friend can help along the way.

All these adventures took place onboard her yacht, Climate Action Now, which she hopes will inspire others to take action towards sustainability.
Now she's gearing up to break another record by travelling the Artic solo.

Emily Gielnik has played more than 50 games for the Matildas, and counting.
It’s a career that’s so far included an Olympic Games and a FIFA World Cup.
But her journey into that side was far from the textbook. In fact it was a school camp at the Australian Institute of Sport that started her footballing career, when her PE teacher asked if she could join in on a training session with the Matildas.
Fast forward and Emily made her debut with the Brisbane Roar at age 18.
And then with the Australian Under-19s, where she scored a hat-trick on debut, and eventually with the Tillies a year later.
After an extensive career around the world, Emily is back scoring goals at the Melbourne Victory. In her spare time she works with teammate Chloe Logarzo running Future Baller, clinics designed to equip young girls with holistic football skills and mental strength.
This episode is brought to you by Monash IVF. The exclusive Fertility Wellness Partner for the Australian Athletes’ Alliance, providing athletes like Emily with reproductive education and care.

From age 12, Elle Steele knew she wanted to become a Paralympian. Even better, she knew she wanted to become a Paralympic Gold medallist.
At just 17 years old she achieved that dream, representing Australia at the Sydney 2000 Games, and breaking the 400 metres freestyle record on the way.
After retiring from swimming, she made the switch to Wheelchair Rugby and became the first female to represent Victoria in the sport.
But when injury stopped her competing from sport altogether, neurolinguistics gave her a new lease on life.
Elle quickly learnt the power that language can have on one’s perception of disability, but also one’s sense of self.
Now she works as the aptly titled ‘Self Belief Agent’, helping others to unlock their potential.
This chat demonstrates the power of positivity and self belief and we hope you enjoy it.
