In an attempt to talk news from the week we scrape the bottom of the barrel of updates in our favourite industry to talk petitions about games staying active long after developers are done with them, we raise a glass to LittleBigPlanet 3 and Media Molecule as a whole as the formers servers are shut off for good and absolutely nobody gets excited for the announcement of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

In Game of the Week Josh talks checking the latest EA Oiriginal Tales of Kenzera and the fascinating Harold Halibut, Kat gets exactly what it says on the tin in Wizard with a Gun, Ethan has his eyes set on the glorious Octopath Traveler II whilst Rossko and Scully check their embargoes so they can talk the brand new Top Spin.

It's quite amazing we've made it this far with such a passionate group of listeners and really couldn't have done it without you. A huge thank you to everyone who has listened to this show from its inception and continue to support it to this day. • The Finger Guns Podcast returns once again with our pre-250 episode which incredibly, is episode 249! Join Rossko, Kat and Miles on this (unintentionally) shorter episode as we jump through the weeks interesting news and talk about all the wonderful games we've been playing this week (or, well, two of them).

This week then we talk through the BAFTA Game Awards winners after the ceremony took place this week. Were there any surprises? We jump into find out.

Also this week ex-Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra has been on Twitter this week discussing the possibilities of 'tipping' game developers at the end of a game you like. The three of us weigh in on whether or not we could see this idea moving forward and if we could see it happening with such strong regulation on monetisation in gaming already. Will the tips end up it the hands on the right people? Will it cause bosses to pay their developers less? We try and work out a way through to a satisfying end.

In Game of the Week Miles sings the praises of the awesome Dave the Diver now it's finally landed on PlayStation and Kat concurs as she also praises the wonderful Dave the Diver and surprises Rossko with a beautiful Dave the Diver remix of one of his own songs. It's quite something. Rossko? Well he's been playing the Sea of Thieves Private Beta on PlayStation.

In recommendations Kat talks The Octopus Murders on Netflix (true crime! octopuses and stuff! databases!) whilst Miles wants to share with the world the wonders of Kat's banana bread and Nolan's Interstellar

We get into this rather horrid story with huge Life is Strange fans talking about their sadness hearing the story.

We also get into what the hell we wanna see from Gears of War 6 and the next Call of Duty game as they're due to be revealed very soon. Basically, more guns and better everything.

Elsewhere Kat gets very excited as the news is revealed that Toys for Bob have reportedly joined forces with Microsoft to work on their latest title. • Another week, another Finger Guns Podcast! Hello again everyone, it's always a pleasure to be here though eh? Join Rossko, Kat, Josh and Miles for another bout of gaming news and nonsense from your favourite Finger Guns crew talking all about the wonders of Crash and Spyro developer Toys for Bob going independent and free from Activision at last. What are we gonna see them make next? The possibilities are endless and it's a nice bit of good news in the never-ending sadness that is the games industry these days. Still! We also talk about Rockstar forcing their employees back full time to finish up Grand Theft Auto 6, and well, let's say we have some opinions on this.

And in rare but most exciting news we have an interview! This week Rossko sat down with Neonhive boss Korina Abbott to talk all about their new publishing wing and how on earth that came about, along with Neonhive as a whole and their hand in some of the biggest indie games of the last few years and Korina's history in the gaming industry. It's a cracking chat that's well worth a listen!

  • This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko returns to the hosting chair - after a bit of an altercation with Josh - with Kat, Miles and the returning Yogdog all joining in to get through the weeks news as quick as possible. And boy there is a lot this week.

First up we talk the disappointing sales of Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League and the factors that may have made it happen. WB Games are not happy with how well it's done and we try and break down the reasons why (reason one - WB Games).

We also talk the possibility of PSVR 2 becoming compatible on PC's to allow users to play PC VR games. We talk to Josh about this one and it opens an interesting discussion regarding ballooning budgets in games which may have lead to this decision. Well, that and PlayStation are not supporting the device well enough.

We also head back to the Nintendo Director Showcase to work through our highlights and follow that up with the four games Microsoft are bringing to PlayStation in the next few months - namely Grounded, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush.

Oh, and we also get into the brand new DLC trailer for Elden Ring. PHEW!

And in Game of the Week Josh has been playing a hell of a lot more of Helldivers II, Kat played a ton of Detroit: Become Human, Miles has been spreading democracy with Helldivers but also checking out the almighty Terminator Dark Fate Defiance, Yogdog has been playing his favourite game of all time in Battle Brothers whilst Rossko has been getting his PC gaming on in Minecraft?!

  • Hello everyone, it's me again, the harbinger of podcast nightmares to once again tell you about this week's episode of the Finger Guns Podcast - but you can call me Josh. This week the gang are back! Discussing the cryptic business lingo Phil Spencer talked at minimal length about the future of Xbox, during their special podcast. Shorter than my solo one last week, just saying Phil.

Moreover, Nintendo Switch 2's launch has been pushed into 2025, along with no major first-party PlayStation releases for this year! How will we all cope? Probably by cleaning up our backlogs that have been tutting at us in the corners of our gaming library for 2 years.

We see the return of Miles' wonderfully whacky picture quiz, the perfect formula for an audio platform. Am I the winner? Silly question, I'm always the winner. Games of the Week include the brilliantly understated puzzle adventure RΓΆki, of course, Helldivers 2, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. All that, as well as some purr-fect recommendations and more on this week's Finger Guns Podcast!

  • Hi there, everyone. I know it must be weird to see Rossko's name not on the publishing for this. Instead, you have me! Josh, taking over for hosting duties whilst the gang go on a well-deserved holiday. In this episode of the Finger Guns Podcast, I hog all of the games of the week, because it's MY show and I'll talk about as many games that I've played as I want. I talk about the newly anticipated title from Don't Nod, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and the recent demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and I update everyone on Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

More importantly on the news side of things, Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot claims that the $70 price tag for a game that features live-service elements is warranted. As the game itself is worthy of the AAAA status. What does that mean? I champion Helldivers 2 from a distance in the name of Miles as it breaks Sony's launch number records.

And I thoroughly recommend not taking on a podcast by yourself, always do it with some friends it's probably much better that way. Unless you make enough fuss that this episode is awesome. Inflate my ego, please. Enjoy the latest episode of The Finger Guns Podcast.

What does this mean for PlayStation and, more importantly, Xbox going forward? We discss this wild rumour mill which seems to have been confirmed by Phil Spencer by announcing an event next week. Time will tell on this one.

  • This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Kat, Miles and Josh delve into the weeks news (cus that's what we do, init) and share their thoughts on Sony's upcoming State of Play and what we'd like to see along with what we're likely to see and whatnot, get serious (or attempt to) about the huge layoffs from Microsoft and the industry as a whole and how goddamn rubbish it all is and we try to get excited about the rumour that Switch 2 is going to have an 8-inch LCD screen. Yay? This then leads to conversations about launch titles which is vastly more interesting.

What else? Well, Kat has been riding out her illness so there's a DBD GotW recommendation from her, Miles has been playing PSP classic Pursuit Force whilst Josh has been tearing through Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth as Rossko retreads the spaceship boards of Among Us to see where the current shape of the game. Good shape, is the answer.

  • This week Rossko, Miles and Josh get to grips with the weeks biggest gaming news including a look back at the Xbox Developer Direct. Are we hyped for Indiana Jones? Well, you're going to have to find out by listening because otherwise why would I bother telling you here? I need you to listen to the podcast for the numbers otherwise they'll cancel it and nobody wants that you see. So please do listen in order to find out the answer to that particular question.

We also delve deep into the madness of Palworld. What on earth is this thing? Where did it come from? How did it generate over six million players in a weekend? Is it simply a Pokemon rip-off? We delve very deep into the wonders of this mysteriously successful game and see if Nintendo have any kind of case here.

Miles has finally been checking out Robocop: Rogue City whilst Josh has been exploring the wonders of Immortality which has just landed on PS5, and Rossko has been playing The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Stumble Guys on Xbox and of course, Fortnite. Shocking really.

In recommendations Miles says you better check out the ambient music of Flawed Mangoes, Josh and Rossko celebrate the wonder of Emma Stone movie Poor Things, and Rossko recommends the second series of Marvel's animated MCU series What If...?

  • Back one again with the renegade podcast masters with the ill behaviour...or something? It's The Finger Guns Podcast! And we're back with our 2024 Metacritic Predictions episode which sees us take a wild guess at the final Metacritic scores for this years biggest releases. Join Rossko, Miles, Kat, Josh and Yogdog as we tear through our initial list before adding a bunch later on in the year after they're announced. It's a whole lot of fun.

Elsewhere, Josh has been checking out the cracking Thirsty Suitors and Kat has been thoroughly enjoying the current PS Plus offering Nobody Saves The World. Yogdog has been checking out Against The Storm, Miles has played possibly the worst game Rossko could ever imagine with RTS-top-down-Trebuchet-soldiers-turn-based-strategy title called Lost Eidolons, whilst Rossko himself has played the Prince of Persia: The Last Crown demo and of course, Fortnite. What else is he gonna do. Oh, and UK games retailer GAME are stopping trade-ins! What does this mean for the industry and will they survive without Kev from down the road bringing in a bunch of CoD games to pay for EA FC25?! We discuss.

  • We're back! It's only frikkin' 2024 and The Finger Guns Podcast returns with yet another absolute banger of a podcast because we're just so damn good to you.

In our first episode back we're coming back in style with our annual Metacritic Predictions Results episode! If you remember our second episode of 2023 was us predicting what we think the final Metacritic scores are going to be for the biggest games of the year and this episode is all about discovering just how poorly (or brilliantly) we predicted the scores. • This week on the penultimate episode of The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Kat, Miles and Josh get together once again to talk the weeks news including The Day Before studio Fntastic shutting down four days after the release of the terrible, awful, dreadful game that deserves to rot for all eternity. We also talk the biggest announcements at The Game Awards along with the show overall and well, we have some thoughts.

Oh! And we get rather giddy about Grand Theft Auto VI after the early release of that fantastic trailer.

Kat talks the massive new update for Dreamlight Valley and the Chucky DLC for Dead by Daylight, naturally. Miles has been checking out the delightfully charming chess puzzler Chesserama and Josh has been reviewing Arizona Sunshine 2 on PSVR 2 whilst Rossko has been exploring the delights of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and talks up the brand new Fortnite modes.

Kat recommends another hot chocolate as her recommendation, Miles has checked out Anthology of Fear with erm, mixed results...whilst Josh reminds us all to look out for each other and reach out to people as and when you need it (it's super important friends, be sure to check in on each other). Oh, and Rossko recommends Doctor Who, because of course he does.

  • On this very special episode of The Finger Guns Podcast, Rossko sits down with our friend Ethan Lawrence to talk absolutely everything there is to talk about his latest televisual project, Boat Story (available now on BBC iPlayer). We get into the spoilery nitty gritty and talk absolutely everything about the show, some behind-the-scenes secrets and we talk about just how nice everyone was on set. Seriously, they were really nice.

It's not a joke when we say spoiler special either, this is a mighty, MIGHTY spoiler special so please DO NOT listen if you haven't seen every single episode and don't want to be spoiled. I mean, you can listen to it if you like but it's gonna ruin the show for you and honestly, you're going to want to into the show as blind as possible as it just makes the whole thing more fun.

Ethan also talks other projects such as his experience on Magic Mike's Last Dance
