Episode Transcript:
Hello, Hello and welcome back to the lonely Londoner. I'm your host, Jodie Coulson. So in season one, we covered topics such as surviving life rather than thriving, different forms of education and making lemonade when life just keeps giving you lemons. But all of that was just the start. In season two, we're diving even deeper, challenging beauty standards and navigating the complexities of relationships both romantic and platonic. Delving into the power of therapy and the importance of choosing the life you truly want. As always, through the lens of my own personal experiences. Plus, in addition to all of that, this season I'm adding something new: mini episodes focusing on a topic close to my heart - Finances, because let's be honest, financial literacy is something many of us didn't learn enough about in school, and it's something I still struggle with. And if you do too, then we're going to try and go on this journey together and figure it all out. So join me as we not only explore the many experiences of life, but also learn practical tips and tricks to navigate the world of money. Together we’ll empower ourselves to make informed decisions, build a secure future, and live life to the absolute fullest. So gird your loins people. Season two is coming and I cannot wait to see you there.

Hi Everyone and welcome to episode 5.
This has been quite a difficult week for me, my housemate who I moved in with 4 months ago has decided that she doesn't want to live with someone anymore. (It's her flat).
This means that by the end of November if I haven't found somewhere to move to - I will be homeless AGAIN!
BUT I've decided to be grateful for this new spanner in the works, this new Lemon to add to all the other lemons that life has given me.
In fact, I'm going to perfect the world's best lemonade and get through this like a champ!

Hello, and welcome to The Lonely Londoner - A podcast which is basically just my stream of consciousness, whenever I feel like recording it.
In this episode, I talk about implementing small changes in my life, which have made a big impact.
I talk about the concept that "Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly" (clearly something I implement when it comes to my upload schedule)
The example I'm using in this episode is about myself, my health, and my weight, If this topic is sensitive to you, then perhaps proceed with caution.
I decided to record this one at midnight when it's about a million degrees out, so just know that whilst I was recording this I had to turn my fan off (you're welcome) but I was also using a wet towel to try and stay cool - not relevant to the episode - just keeping it real.

In this episode, I am talking all things Education and finding your own path to your career ( or lack thereof if you so wish!)
I talk through my own experiences with different forms of education, feeling like I was wasting my time, spending a LOT of money on University, and where I am now.
Reminder: Life is a journey we all take at our own pace, and we don't need to live up to someone else's experiences!!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the episode or your experiences, if you'd like to reach out you can do so here:

Catch you in the next episode!
((ALSO: Sorry for the dodgy sound quality in some bits of the poddy - I'm still new to this and I will get better about sitting still and staying in one position!!))

This introduction episode takes us on a journey back in my life and covers some aspects of life that I struggled with and that I'm sure other people have also struggled with too.
I felt like it was important to get some context into why I wanted to make this podcast in the first place.
In this episode, I briefly cover topics such as:
Not knowing what I wanted to do with my life (career-wise) Going to Uni / Doing an ApprenticeshipFeeling left behind by my peers with regard to careers, families, etc.Making a big life/carer moveMaking a big locational move to London. These are all topics and conversations that I want to talk about more in-depth in future episodes and I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to my Podcast - The Lonely Londoner.
This is a podcast I've been thinking about for a while and is about navigating life in your 20's / 30s and really not knowing what you're doing.
Shout out to winging it, and high five to all of us who are Surviving instead of Thriving!
I hope you enjoy it!
