"Mr Lehrmann raped Ms Higgins." Those were the words spoken by Justice Michael Lee on Monday afternoon as he handed down his verdict in Bruce Lehrmann's defamation case against Network Ten and Lisa Wilkinson.
It's a verdict we had been waiting to hear since the trial wrapped up late last year after 22 days of evidence.
