Ever since I started my blog in August 2013, building a six figure business has been a dream of mine. When my business crossed the six figure mark, I thought it would be the perfect time to chat through what it feels like to finally be here.
Like most people, I believed that having a six figure business would mean more happiness, more time and feeling more organised - but this hasnât quite been the case! Iâm so grateful for where I am but also wanted to share what can happen mentally when we achieve our big goals.
If youâre on your way to building a six-figure business, this episode is for you. I hope listening inspires you to continue goal-setting and reminds you that thereâs no need to rush because youâll always be on the journey.

Our perfectionist all-or-nothing mindset is what makes us rebel from our calendars. That is, unless youâre planning properly as a perfectionist.
I used to be the person who couldnât follow through with my calendar for more than a couple of days. Yet no matter how much time I spent planning everything out, I kept rebelling. It wasnât because I didnât have what it takes to be my own boss. It was simply because I was unknowingly making some pretty big planning mistakes that were making my perfectionist mindset working against me.
In this episode Iâm sharing 8 calendaring mistakes that are unknowingly causing you to rebel against your calendar. And I walk you through how Power Planning solves for each of them in the easiest and most practical way. If you want to be able to rely on yourself to follow through with your plans whilst having lots of flexibility and freedom in your week, this episode is for you.

For most perfectionists, it feels reckless or even harmful to publish âimperfectâ work unless a last minute deadline forces our hand. Whether itâs a piece of content, a client deliverable, a sales page, a piece of art or just about anything else. We donât want to let go of it until it feels ready. And by ready, we mean perfect.
But this comes at a great cost to our business and to ourselves. Weâre exhausted, weâre dependent on external deadlines and pressure to keep us motivated and we donât get enough practice to become insanely good at what we do. We donât make sales, we donât help people and we donât get to show ourselves what weâre capable of. All because the emotional piece is missing.
I have built a successful business because I have created the emotional capacity to publish âimperfectâ work. I let my ideas meet reality before they feel perfect to my perfectionist brain. And I emotionally allow myself to have imperfect work out in the world. I wouldnât be at almost 500 episodes and 3 million downloads of this podcast if that wasnât the case.
Creating the emotional capacity to publish âimperfectâ work is something that anyone can learn. I know because I wasnât this way when I first started my business. So today Iâm going to help you develop this emotional capacity too.
Tune in to learn the real reasons why you struggle to hit publish, the perfectionist thought errors that make perfectly good work feel incredibly flawed and the practical things you can do to create the emotional capacity to put your work out into the world.

These are the areas in your business where you have a deep desire to take action but arenât letting yourself - either because of a past decision you made, a rule you unconsciously adopted or an expectation youâre placing on yourself.
Then Iâm walking you through how to untie your hands from behind your back, update your decisions and let yourself freely create.
Itâs an important lesson for all entrepreneurs, especially those who have been getting in their own way. Tune in today.

Successful entrepreneurs rarely overthink. So in todayâs episode of The Perfectionism Project, Iâm sharing why perfectionists overthink, the hidden costs that overthinking is having on your business and the proven path to stopping overthinking.
Overthinking isnât just frustrating - itâs stopping your business from growing. But that doesnât mean you need to beat yourself up for overthinking. Yesterday I recorded this raw and real business update. Iâm sharing 8 lessons Iâve learned from the last 18 months in business. It has been TOUGH and itâs also been exactly what I needed in so many ways (even though I wish it wasnât).
In this episode I share so many things that Iâve wanted to share but have been too embarrassed and ashamed about. Iâve felt like I couldnât share my struggles the same way I did in the past because I should have âfigured it outâ by now. This is definitely not a helpful thought nor is it true. And itâs stopped me from creating my favourite content - honest behind the scenes updates about the work Iâm doing on my business and my own perfectionism.
So Iâm returning to what I love doing and trusting that I donât need to be perfect in order to be perfectly helpful.
The 1st of July is a new chapter for me and my business. So this episode recaps the lessons and wins from the last 18 months so I can powerfully move on. And so that you can too if youâve been making some of the mistakes that I have or carrying similar shame.
Iâm so excited for those who have already decided to start a new chapter by joining our 12 Week Power Planning Challenge. (If you havenât joined us yet, youâve only got a few hours left to sign up).
I love the energy of a fresh start without dismissing all of the progress Iâve made and wisdom Iâve gained. Iâm so much more skilled and mature as a business owner than I ever have been. And that came from some very painful lessons and resilience when it was the hardest to find.
Tune in today.
And click here to sign up for PGSD and join us for the 12 Week Challenge if you havenât already (enrollment closes in 9 hours).
