  • Louise Johnson is a burnout prevention and recovery coach, dedicated to helping professionals and organisations combat burnout. Foremost, she is a burnout survivor. She connects wholeheartedly with her clients as she understands firsthand the pain and frustration they are experiencing.

Her unique advantage is her natural talent for spotting patterns (survival strategies) and gently yet thoroughly addressing the underlying concern to bring about healing. By healing the concern, the survival strategy is no longer necessary, and a healthier behaviour can be instilled in its place.

She knows how much of a winding and lonely road it can be to recover from burnout when those around you seem to have it all together, or they also can’t relate to what you are experiencing. When she was recovering from burnout, there weren’t burnout coaches or specialists who could assist her, and she really felt something was wrong with her. She learned through a lot of trial and error, research, and bounced from one practitioner and healer to the next. Her recovery took the scenic route – yours doesn’t need to. This is why she trained to become a coach and is devoted to continued learning in this area to bring tried and tested techniques and the most current information. She realised on her journey that work and achievement do not define us, but that we are great just as we are.

Her experiential acumen is backed by sound qualifications as a certified life-, wellness- and trauma-coach (The Life Coaching Academy Australia). She is compliant with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) core competencies, policies, ethics and code of conduct. She originally trained and received an Honours in Bachelor of Molecular Sciences (BSc) (Genetics and Biochemistry). She furthered her studies in business completing a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In experiencing her own life challenges, she became interested in well-being and alternative healing therapies whilst still in corporate employment. Louise has worked in global corporations for the past 18 years in specialist roles at various levels. Industries include Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, R&D, Government, Mining, and Oil & Gas. This background allows her to easily relate to the various scenarios and challenges experienced in corporations

She lives in Perth, Western Australia with her husband, son and two dogs. There is never a dull moment! Here favourite things to do are to spend time with her family, explore nature, travel, learn new things and move her body. • Benjamin Smith's interest in health started at a young age. He remembers asking my dad who is a dermatologist, all kinds of abstract and philosophical questions. Why is the sky blue? Or why does the sun cause skin issues? He was fascinated with wanting to know why.

In his early 20s, he thought about pursuing a career in the medical field, specifically a naturopath. Life changed course on him and he got into the automotive detailing industry, owning his own company for the last 30 years.

All this time he was still interested in health and how the human body worked, but it was more of a leisurely pursuit. He read a few articles and watched a few videos here and there. It wasn’t until 2012 when he became more or less obsessed with why people get chronic disease. That year his sister died of cancer and he thought to himself, “does the body want to kill itself?” It didn’t make sense.

In 2014 he started to really dive “deep into the woods” and started to learn some amazing things about water, nose breathing and other things that could lead to optimal wellbeing. He started to voraciously read everything I could get my hands on about health.

Fast forward to 2019 and he was realizing he needed to share this information with people around him and with his loved ones. He thought, “I can become a health coach!” This way he can share his information and help people get well. He signed up for The Primal Health Coach Institute after much research as they were in line with his values. After getting his certificate, he realised he wanted to help people through teaching and lecturing.

A friend suggested “Why don’t you write a book?“ He thought this would be perfect. He could get his message out there for people who wanted to listen. Over the past four years, he has been researching and working on this book and it has finally come to fruition. This “model” that he created and developed is a decade of research and reviewing hundreds of articles as well as talking and learning from experts in their respective fields.

It is Benjamin's mission to help as many people as possible to help them live the life of health and abundance they were put on this planet to enjoy. This is a wonderful conversation, not to be missed.

  • Jonathan Marion grew up in a dysfunctional home, surrounded by emotional and physical abuse, and never fully feeling like he belonged anywhere. He grew up around conflicting views around religion and physical and mental health struggles, including suicide. Attending a private religious day school (while a privilege compared to the lives of many) did not provide comfort for the sensitive, insecure little boy, with a broken heart. Educational/ academic accomplishments were highly stressed in his culture, and especially in private school, everyone had to fit the mold. There was no personal assessment plan: there was “the way,” and if you didn’t fit it, you didn’t stay. And he didn’t fit.

He kept going through the motions for decades, finishing his MA, finishing his PhD, publishing his first academic book, being elected to professional boards, starting to teach university classes, being named outstanding lecturer at his university, being elected President of a professional association, getting hired into a tenure track position, writing his second book, winning more teaching commendations, being elected President of a second professional association, publishing his third book, getting tenure, publishing my fourth book, etc.

He realized none of his measurable, externally-facing accomplishments mattered. That the most meaningful relationships in his life were with people who didn’t care how good he was at “jumping through hoops.” He now lives how he wants to be, aware of considerations, but not allowing them to drive his choices. He is able to identify what really matters, knowing that everything that happens is just part of a story. He jumps through far fewer hoops, and when he does, he doesn’t attach a sense of identity or self-worth to them. Jonathan is now loving the steps along the way. If you are ready to live your best life, and are looking for some simple things you can do to help you on this journey, then this is a the podcast for you. Enjoy this fabulous conversation...

  • I am blessed to have known Perry Venakis for almost 25 years, so far. When we met, he was just starting his personal training journey after a very interesting background as a mechanic, a farmer and then with a passion to help people with their health and well being. He turned his knowledge and experience to help body builders get positive results in a much more healthy and natural way, and had great success with many people he worked with.

His journey led him to an intense interest in the role that nutrition played in body building, but also how it impacted every person and in every area of life. Perry works with many people to help them live optimal lives through eating simply, naturally and nutritionally to help them get results that seem to very complex. This interest led him, at the age of 55, to study a Masters degree in nutrition and then go on to start the Australia Academy of Raw Nutrition.

Perry and I chat about some simple but powerful concepts in this conversation. Some simple tips to eat well, exercise more effectively, and create a mindset that will lead to an abundant &meaning life of joy, purpose and longevity. After doing his N90 program myself, I can definitely attest to is worth. I would encourage everyone to take control of their wellbeing, because every choice we make is leaving an indelible imprint in the hearts of people and on the legacy we are leaving. • Early Challenges and Inner Turmoil

Since birth, Marcy Langlois has faced formidable difficulties, undergoing more than twenty surgical procedures to address her cleft lip and palate. This physical struggle only compounded the emotional burdens she endured. Marcy was subjected to relentless teasing and bullying during her childhood, as her appearance and speech differed from her peers.

    Navigating Identity and Overcoming Self-Doubt

As Marcy progressed through Catholic grade school, she confronted another layer of self-discovery: her attraction to girls rather than boys. Confusion and shame about her sexuality reinforced her already entrenched beliefs of being worthless and unlovable. The struggle between external and internal insecurities intensified, compelling Marcy to become a perfectionist in an attempt to deflect attention from her perceived flaws.

    The Destructive Path of Addiction

In her quest to silence the nagging voice in her mind, Marcy turned to alcohol during her middle school years. While it temporarily numbed her pain, it accelerated a downward spiral. The tragic car accident she was involved in during high school claimed the lives of three individuals, fueling her guilt and deepening her reliance on alcohol as an escape. Thus began a decade-long struggle with alcoholism that resulted in the loss of employment, devastated relationships, and a battle with chronic illness that nearly cost Marcy her life.

    Breaking Free and Embracing Transformation

Rock bottom was the turning point for Marcy at the age of 27. Utilizing resources provided by a Twelve-Step Program, she embarked on a miraculous journey of recovery. Embracing sobriety, Marcy engaged in extensive therapy, personal reflection, and spiritual exploration to heal her wounds and discover her true self.

    Finding Love, Fulfillment, and Purpose

Today, Marcy lives a life filled with self-love and contentment. She and her wife have cultivated a beautiful, lasting relationship for over twenty years. Professionally, Marcy achieved remarkable success as a Mortgage Banker and Vice President in the banking industry and now works at a top mortgage banking business. However, her greatest passion lies in sharing her transformative story with others, providing them with hope and healing in their own struggles.

A Message of Resilience and Empowerment

Marcy Langlois exemplifies the power of resilience in the face of daunting challenges. Her journey serves as an inspiring testament to the possibilities of personal growth and triumph over adversity. Marcy’s story resonates with individuals navigating their journeys, reminding them that healing, self-discovery, and the redefinition of their narratives are always within reach.
