In this special 20th episode I answer questions asked by you the listeners about C-section recovery, sleep training and tips I would give as a twin mom. It was lovely taking a trip back down memory lane and answering all the question. What a journey motherhood is.
I would love to say thank you so much to all the fellow twin moms and listeners for the community we have created on instagram. In this episode I talk about how special it is to me.
I also talk about why I am taking a small break from posting and recording the podcast but I will most definitely return. I will reschedule all women who are booked in to share their twin birth story when i resume.

In this episode I speak to Healy. Healy introduces her family of 5. Healy speaks about her fiance getting sick and how things then changed very quickly. Healy speaks about her fertility issues where she sadly suffered 10 miscarriages. Healy talks us through her adoption and surrogacy journey which led to the arrival of her beautiful twins. In this episode I speak to Antoinette. Antoinette introduces her family of four with her faternal girl/boy twins. Antoinette talks us through her surprise reaction when finding out she was expecting her twins. Antoinette talks about her tough first trimester where she was quite sick. Antoinette was highly monitored in her second trimester which became quite stressful for her. Antoinette talks us through her labour and delivery at the amazing 38 weeks. Antoinette's bubbly personality was so contagious, what a lovely positive woman you are.

In this episode I speak to Lorraine. Lorraine speaks about how and when she found out she was expecting her twin girls. Lorraine talks about the difficulties at the beginning of her pregnancy and how she went into hospital at 29 weeks which resulted in the delivery of her girls a few days later. Lorraine talks about the horrific experience she had the endure during her c-section. Lorraine then talks us through her NICU journey and life as a twin mom now. In this episode I speak to Sarah. Sarah introduces her family of four. Sarah talks about her difficult journey in becoming pregnant and later talks us through her pregnancy when things changed at 28 weeks whereby she spent the remainder of her pregnancy in hospital. Sarah talks us through her labour and delivery at 32 weeks & 6 days via C-Section which was a very positive experience but speaks about the difficulty of NICU. Sarah is an extremely positive woman who was so lovely to chat to. She speaks about the challenges she felt during the first 4 months of motherhood but how now things have changed all for the better.

In this episode Michelle introduces herself, her husband Brian and their 5 children. Michelle talks about how she got the 'shock of her life' when she found out she was pregnant with twins, at 37 years of age and 3 other children at home. Michelle talks about her tough pregnancy and spoke very truthfully and honestly. Michelle talks us through her labour and delivery whereby she gave birth at 37 weeks via c-section. Michelle being a well experienced mother gives amazing advice to other moms while sharing her story. What a lovely positive woman she is.

In this episode Amy introduces herself and speaks about her struggles of getting pregnant whereby she sadly suffered 3 miscarriages. Amy speaks about her miscarriages in such a strong admirable way. Amy talks about her 10 rounds of IVF that she received in four different fertility clients in Ireland. Amy talks about the very special day she found out she was pregnant with her twins which was the greatest Christmas present she could have asked for. Amy talks about her very straight froward pregnancy in comparison to her current pregnancy. Amy talks us through her amazing delivery. Amy is such a lovely woman who gives amazing advice to other moms. What a lovely woman she is.

In this episode I speak to Lizzy. Lizzy talks about when she got pregnant while living in the UK and moved back with her then partner to Ireland. Lizzy talks us through changing her hospital care back in Ireland and talks us through her pregnancy which was very difficult as she had a tumour growing on her ovaries. Lizzy talks us through her labour and delivery, whereby she had one of her boys vaginally and her other baby boy by emergency section. Lizzy then tells us how herself and her then partner moved across the world when the boys were only 3 months old. Lizzy shares how her partner decided that fatherhood wasn't for him. Lizzy emotionally talks about how she travelled back home to Ireland and began life as a single twin mom. Lizzy is an absolutely amazing woman who I have so much respect for with her admirable strength. Lizzy talks about how she got sad news to share with her boys last year about their dad. Lizzy shares her very unique story so openly, what an amazing mother you are.

In this episode we are joined by Victoria. Victoria talks about how she got pregnant with her twin girls. Victoria talks about the mental health struggles she experienced before and during her pregnancy. Victoria is extremely open and honest about how she felt during these times which I must applaud her for. Victoria talks us through her emergency section and how hard it is to experience NICU. Victoria is a very strong woman who has been through a lot during her pregnancy and I admire her honesty during our chat.

After postponing her wedding not once but four times during covid times, Siobhan was pregnant on her wedding day which ended up being her twin girls. Siobhan dreamt of having twins many times & her dream then came through. Siobhan talks us through her pregnancy and amazing vaginal delivery of both her girls. Siobhan gives amazing advice from a twin mom but also a midwife's perspective. Siobhan was so lovely to chat to, her positive outlook was contagious.

In this episode Claire introduces herself as a single mam by choice, to her twin boys through IVF. Claire talks very honestly about how she felt her life was over after finding out she was pregnant with her twins, and was devastated with the news. Claire talks about her raw overwhelming experience during the beginning of her pregnancy. Claire talks about her very difficult pregnancy whereby she had a bleed and found out her twins had twin to twin transfusion syndrome and much more. Claire talks us through her delivery at the amazing 34 weeks after a very tough pregnancy. Claire talks about her difficult NICU journey, where one of her boys had to stay 18 days and the other twin a long 24 days in NICU. Claire talks very Brutally about the reality of her first 6 months, whereby her babies had relfux, collic and were very unsettled. Claire is an amazing strong women who I really respect coming on and sharing her though reality at that time. Claire finished on how at 6 months her life as a twin mom became much more enjoyable, which was so lovely to hear as she deserves nothing more. Enjoy her episode.

In this episode Julie introduces her family of 5 with 3 her kids. Julie talks about how she found out she was expecting her twins a week before flying out to enjoy her honeymoon. Julie compares her first singleton pregnancy with her twin pregnancy. Julie talks about why she was on bed rest at the end of her pregnancy. Julie talks us through her labour and delivery whereby she had a vaginal birth with her son Charlie and an emergency c-section with her other son Jack. Julie talks very emotionally about the day she reunited with her daughter after 5 days in hospital. Julie is such a lovely woman, whom I loved talking to. Julie gives great advice at the end of the podcast to twin moms who have another child/children at home while in hospital.

Trigger Warning: Baby Loss.
In this episode Liz introduces her family of 5 children and compares her singleton pregnancies and twin pregnancy. At 26 weeks liz's daughter Everly was delivered and sadly passed away 2 days later. Liz takes us back to how she coped with her experience of baby loss. Liz is such an amazing strong woman and is so brave to come on and share her story. Liz wanted to talk about and create awareness of pre-aclampsia and how things got very serious very quick. Liz then speaks about her 4th pregnancy which was her twins and talks through their labour and delivery. Liz is such an amazing strong woman and her daughter Everly would be so proud of her today.

In this episode Karen talks about her labour that went from 0-100 with her boys being born at 29 weeks and 4 days. Karen speaks about how difficult the NICU journey was, especially when she brought home one of her boys at 9.5 weeks and couldn't bring home her other baby boy until he was 11 weeks old. In this episode Tracy talks about how she was done with waiting for mister right and bravely decided to go through IVF herself whereby she became pregnant with her twins. Tracy talks about her support system and how her sister was her birthing partner. Tracy talks us through her long labour, delivery and anxieties that came with it. Tracy’s twins thankfully never received any NICU time but she did become ill herself after giving birth.
