I've known J'Nelle for 5+ years now and she's continued to evolve every step of the way. She's a multi-talented individual who wants to see others win. She used her music as a vessel to speak to the world. She's used the platform the music provided to create something bigger than herself. This is Year 2 of Creatology and we spoke about her passion and purpose behind the event. She also talked about what sparked a change in her and made her take action on this edition of Waves Of The Bay. Make sure you're following @wavesofthebay on all social media.

Blu J.D. is one of my favorite artists out of Tampa Bay because he is as authentic as they come. I've personally known him for over 10 years now and have seen his growth and progression as an artist, but most importantly, as a Man. He shares his life through his music and isn't afraid to be vulnerable in his art. The importance he places on lyrics makes him elite and not only did I talk with him on this episode of Waves Of The Bay, I also got to premiere new music from his upcoming project! How do you define a King? That's the starting point for this conversation as we figure out what truly epitomizes royalty. I had three of Tampa Bay's Best (OG The Originaal, Shadcore and Theo Lane) in the studio to talk about their new group KRK. We had to dive into the meaning of the name, the timing of the project and the outlook for the movement. Kings Recognize Kings and that's what we did on this episode of Waves Of The Bay. The thing that makes Tampa Bay so Special is the variety of Artists we have and their versatility. Theo Lane is someone I've seen put in work for close to a decade and he does it all with a smile. The reason he can do that is because he's sharing his love for music with the world. He's not afraid to put his soul into his projects because his purpose is to unite people through song. We learn more about him on this edition of Waves Of The Bay. Make sure you're following @wavesofthebay on all social media.

There are certain collaborations that make too much sense that we never get to witness. So, with that in mind it's refreshing to see two creatives combine forces to create greatness. When Talent foregoes Ego for the Culture it hits differently. Enter Super Producer Knux and our Tampa BayWatch Artist of the Week In'Telleq. The easiest way to explain their artistry is Bars & Beats. Before the radio we were doing shows on both sides of Tampa Bay and interacting with majorly talented artists. Being one of the only Promoters trying to Bridge the Bay, we were able to connect Artists and strengthen the music scene. I met Alec Burnright, our Tampa BayWatch Artist Of The Week, many moons ago and he's never changed up. He's been authentic, outspoken and a student of the game all at once. He moves to his own drum and, that in itself is a beautiful thing, until you take into account the music that drum leads into! Learn more about ABR on this episode of Waves Of The Bay. The Tampa BayWatch segment is what it is due to the talent of our homegrown artists. Over the years we've interacted with several artists around the Bay Area and seeing them level up is a wonderful thing! Gangalee is one of those artists who set the bar high and continually raises it with each project. She's evolving as an Artist and a Woman and wants to be someone that shines light instead of darkness. Make sure you're following @wavesofthebay on all social media.

DJ Spaceship made his return to Waves Of The Bay and did work while I celebrated Wifey's Birthday. As you know Ship and I have been holding Waves down for the past few years before his recent promotion to Monday mornings. He came with a guest as we got a chance to know more about Simba! Her and Spaceship met through poetry but she's also very talented and grinding towards change. Spaceship got to the core of who She is as a person and her goals for the future. I'm a fan of full circle moments and this episode had those in abundance! I had one of the people who showed me the way, Shizzle of The Shizzle Show, as my Special Co-Host for the evening and he brought out the whole Flohio Radio squad. Flohio gave DJ Spaceship and I an opportunity when we began Waves Of The Bay and I got to show love to Serg In General for the impact he had on us.
