Seizing an opportunity to help build a club in a disused Chicago warehouse, a young aspiring DJ named Frankie Knuckles moved from New York City to the midwest to try to strike out on his own and make a name for himself. He did so much more than that — Frankie's unique style at The Warehouse piqued interest around the globe, and music nerds everywhere were soon popping into their local record shops, asking if they had any of "That Warehouse Music." House Music was born.

In May of 2013, millions of music lovers around the world listened to Random Access Memories and marveled at its immaculate production and beautiful music. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington were two of those people. Jaar and Harrington, the two fellas behind the band DARKSIDE, tore apart the record, found their favorite noises and restructured the entire thing as a dark, moody and altogether groovy remix album "Random Access Memories Memories" and released it under the pseudonym Daftside.
On today's episode, we break down their album. If you're reading this, Mr. Jaar, please let us kiss your music on the lips.

After decades of success as one of the best and most influential sampling acts of all time, Daft Punk had a bold idea: what if, instead of sampling their heroes' music, they sampled their brains? And thus was born Random Access Memories, the robots' most ambitious, beautiful record of their career. Spanning nearly five years and studios around the globe, R.A.M. was recorded with care and precision with Thomas and Guy-Man welcoming some of their biggest influences, favorite contemporaries and best friends to play on the record.
In this week's episode, we talk about the R.A.M. collaborators. Last week, we discussed the history of the record. Next week, we will do our track-by-track review. Thank you for taking this journey with us!

On this week's episode, we talk about the history of this special record. Tune in over the next couple weeks as dive deeper into this masterpiece! Next week, we will discuss the collaborators.
