This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 11 - The Crepes of Wrath
After another short break, we're finally here with the eleventh episode of the season!
This episode was a real eye opener, as we sat down to watch what became a favourite for the pair of us. We go over the pros and cons of some creative choices, and find out how The Simpsons writers get around language barriers in these kinds of episodes.
We also discuss a possible over-fondness for animals within the Simpsons animation team, Tom proves unable to speak French with any skill or grace, and Megan gives us an insight into what it's like having a conversation with her sister.
As always, we'd love any and all feedback, it's all read, and all appreciated. Any feedback you provide is incredibly useful and very much appreciated, as it helps us improve and gives us a boost on Podcasting platforms that gets us heard by more people.
Edit - Apologies for the background hiss that occurs for around a minute at roughly the 48 minute mark. Something went wrong in the edit, but I've salvaged it as best I can!

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 10 - Homer's Night Out
This week, we sat down to watch maybe the worst Marital Problems episode this season (and for some reason, there are a few). It wasn't all bad though, and we certainly had a lot to talk about.
We also discuss the strange ways poor schools use money, Tom has a fight with a fly, and Megan reveals her poor geography skills.
As always, we'd love any and all feedback, it's all read, and all appreciated. Any feedback you provide is incredibly useful and very much appreciated, as it helps us improve and gives us a boost on Podcasting platforms that gets us heard by more people.
Until next week,

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season1 Episode 9 - Life on the Fast Lane
After a brief break as we went to live in a forest for a few days, we are back with another episode that we both really enjoyed! The show has found its footing now, and the DNA of what we know as the Golden Era of The Simpsons is starting to show.
This week we both cringe throughout the episode, Tom reveals the magical history of English Children's TV presenters, and Megan reveals more of her questionable childhood.
As always, we'd love any and all feedback, it's all read, and all appreciated. Any feedback you provide is incredibly useful and very much appreciated, as it helps us improve and gives us a boost on Podcasting platforms that gets us heard by more people.
Until next week,

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 8 - The Telltale Head
Not to spoil anything of course, but this week I think we both came away from the episode feeling more positive than we did going in. You'll have to listen to find out why! (We're getting better and better at writing these). This weeks episode features the first proper Springfield mob, beginning a tradition of the Simpsons that will continue for years, as well as some character firsts of fan favourites the world over. We discuss one of the more controversial character firsts, Megan gets distracted by the thought of one particular cinema treat, and Tom once again goes on a tirade, this time against Disney+.
We both really enjoyed this episode listening back, and we think you will too. Be sure to have a listen, and let us know what you think! Any feedback you provide is incredibly useful and very much appreciated, as it helps us improve and gives us a boost on Podcasting platforms that gets us heard by more people.

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 7 - The Call of the Simpsons
This week, you get to hear how the show might have sounded, had we not upgraded some of our audio equipment and editing software. This was our very first recording we did, back when we were checking we actually knew how to make a podcast, so some things may seem a bit weird and out of order, but we still think it's a very good episode, and hope you agree!
We started as we meant to go on, with conversations that wildly sidetracked us, Megan calling out Tom for keeping track of some questionable elements of the show, and Tom skirts the line between legally safe and a defamation lawsuit.
We hope you enjoy the show. As always, be sure to leave us feedback and ratings, and be sure to contact us if you have any questions or comments you'd like to make.
Until next week,
Tom & Megan

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 6 - Moaning Lisa
Some delays in editing threw us off schedule for a bit, but we're finally back on track for Sunday releases!
This week, we sat down and watched the sixth episode of the season, and in many ways, this was one of our favourites. We discuss the fine balancing act of writing such an emotionally charged episode of a comedy animation, Megan speaks at length about some of her favourite children's shows from back in the day, and Tom finally has the opportunity to gush about some good art and animation this season!
We both really like this episode, sow e both really hope you do too! of course as always, any feedback you have, good and constructive, is welcomed with open arms.
As Megan mentioned at the end of the episode, this episode deals with mental health and depression, and so we thought it would be helpful to provide some links for any of you in a bad spot, which I'll be leaving below. There's no shame in seeking help, friends. Stay safe.

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 5 - Bart the General
This week we sat and watched maybe our favourite episode so far, Bart the General! We enjoyed reminiscing about some of the things we watched as kids, Tom discusses US war conspiracies, and Megan continues to spy on her neighbours during recordings.
We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did recording it! If you have any feedback, be sure to leave it here, as any feedback helps get our show to more people.

This week,Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 4 - There's no Disgrace Like Home
This week, we watched episode 4, and by all accounts had a better time than last week. As always, we get wildly sidetracked, discussing Disenchantment, Futurama, and Citizen Kane, Tom goes off on a tirade about the television license, and Megan reveals some disturbing facts from her childhood with older siblings.

This week, Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 3 - Homer's Odyssey
In this episode, we discuss as many things as we can that aren't the third episode of the season. Not to spoil anything, but Homer's Odyssey isn't our favourite of the season, but that doesn't mean we don't have fun discussing improvements we would have made. Tom also reveals where the design for Otto the bus driver came from, and Megan gets distracted by some strange happenings in the house across the road.
We hope you enjoy the show. if you do, be sure to leave feedback, and join us on our Patreon to discuss the show.

This week,Tom and Megan take a look at The Simpsons Season 1 Episode 2 - Bart the genius
In this episode, we discuss the second ever episode aired, as well as have some uncharacteristically deep conversations about the failings of the education system. Megan also tries to test Tom's maths skills, and Tom discovers that maybe Bart is more clever than people give him credit for.
