Since I have mentioned Hawaii on the podcast, I wanted to acknowledge those who have been impacted by the recent fires in Maui. This episode was recorded prior to the devastation that has occurred. I am heartbroken by the news and encourage people to support however they can whether that be by donating to causes supporting those who have been impacted or by continuing to learn how to protect the places or communities we travel to.

What do bacon butties and a cup of tea have in common? Absolutely nothing, but they sure taste good after a 51 kilometre adventure race through the Scottish Highlands! Louise Rey, a weekend adventurer and cofounder of City Camping, joins me on this weeks episode as we discuss the phenomenon known as outdoor adventure racing, the lessons learned from the races we completed and why you should consider doing one.
