The stigma surrounding periods continues to burden girls and women. From being made to conceal menstrual products when they buy them, all wrapped with opaque covers, to whispers in stores stating that only women can attend to such matters. And yet, many still lack access to these products and information on menstrual hygiene.
In light of this year’s #MenstrualHygieneDay🩸, we kick off #ChiniYaMbuyu Season 8 by tackling period poverty, society's contribution to this cause, and possible actions to eliminate period poverty and social stigma.
