Cedar Rapids, Iowa was a safe place to raise a family in 1979. People trusted their neighbors, left their doors unlocked, and kids played outside until the streetlights came on. But all of that would change on December 19th, 1979 when 18-year-old Michelle Martinko was brutally stabbed to death. For 39 years the case would remain unsolved until genetic genealogy helped solve the mystery of who killed Michelle.

In December 2009, 30-year-old Steven Koecher who was a devout mormon moved to Saint George Utah for a change of scenery. His family received an unexpected phone call from the Henderson, Nevada police department stating that Steven's car had been found abandoned. In July 2017, 26-year-old Cynthia Martinez Perez went out to celebrate a quinceañera and then headed to a bar in Keizer, Oregon to celebrate her recent birthday. After sometime at the bar her friend left leaving Cynthia stranded there alone. After leaving the bar with two men she completely vanished.

Lynsie Ekelund was a 20-year-old woman who was just beginning to find out who she was. She was a college student and a tutor who had overcome some serious hurdles in life. In February 2001 after going out with friends she seemingly vanished. She remained missing for nearly a decade before she was finally found.

In 1991 Jennifer Patterson was just 7 years old when she (according to her father Alan), left home to walk to a neighbors house, but she never made it there or back home.
Back then, and still today her father Alan Patterson has been the number one suspect. Jennifer Wix was just 21. Adrianna, her baby girl, was just 2. On March 25, 2004, the girls were never seen or heard from again. We started this podcast with a sliver of hope that perhaps one of the girls was still out there- after all, who could harm an innocent little girl?
We now have confirmation that neither girls took a breath past March 25, 2004.
Our mission is the same- bring the girls home, but our search has changed- we’re in a race to find their remains before any deals with the Devil can be made.
Jennifer and Adrianna deserved better in our small town in 2004.

Danielle Locklear was a 15-year-old girl living in Hope Mills, North Carolina in March of 2014. She was a straight A student, with so much life ahead of her. On the night of March 11th, 2014 she left her home sometime around 10pm to walk a few houses down to give a friend something for school the following day. Danielle would never make it back home.
