"I attempted to emulate the atmosphere and mood of a documentary that I recently watched. The film explored what would happen if a cosmonaut were to be perpetually lost in space."

Seeking out depth in music as in life; an atmosphere for late nights, long drives, or reflective moments beam out from this session, bringing the audience a journey from a dark birthing place. Paced into a contemplative sonic path that finds the light at the end of the tunnel. Our world can seem without hope some days, but the key is to not buy into the subtle distractions called fear. The truth is that there is more light than darkness. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. -

Hardware music boxes addiction is not that bad if you are doing music all your life. @mad_dim is the kind of artist who spends all his life in the studio, doing music on his own or collaborating with other artists. He is the resident of Nervmusic (@easychanges) and co-owner of @ouyayebu records, plays only live and only on hardware.
Lives between Moscow and Berlin. Travels a lot and makes music, telling stories about the people and surroundings he sees. This podcast will be the showcasee of Madd – his second side, shading the light to ambient and experimental works both live and dj. -

SIL @silskkbrec and his musical story recorded in a studio located in the woods.
Kirill Silantyev aka SIL, co-founder of Sakskøbing records (@saksk-bing) and Deficit Moscow. Part of the duo 4-й энерго блок.
The mix opens with a track by Kirill's new project Black Dinamo in which he explores ambient and other experimental genres. Most of the records played are on vinyl, with the cozy crackling that reminds of a fireplace and supports the winter mood. -

Chris SSG - The air turns before the leaves
Autumn in Japan is a special time. This mix was prepared at that time of the year when the air starts to turn crisp, before the leaves begin to change colour.
A mix of details and textures, fractals of meaning. Autumn 2021 also marks the beginning of a new project, SSG Space: https://ssgspace.substack.com/
Thanks to all the artists and labels used in the mix. Dedicated, with respect and gratitude, to Peter Rehberg. He was the pivot around which so much of value turned.
Recorded at home in Tokyo, September 2021, Chris SSG.

@alexey-orlov-dj is well-known to Moscow clubbers for the @slowdance label and parties of the same name. He collects vinyl and passionately promotes the label. Also, he plays experimental music live in a duo with jazz drummer Sasha Mashin, who has more than once convinced Russia of his genius. Alexey also has his own video magazine about electronic music producers – Russian Electronic Music Minds.
This recording is basically one of his existing ambient playlist that he mixed for the podcast. These playlists help him in work not related to music production or during relaxation. This music allows the mind to be concentrated and wondering in dreams at the same time. By the way, the mix also includes Alexey’s own production. -

A hidden gem from CultKitchen Radio Showcase at @mutabormoscow – @r-hz live from the deepest and darkest corners of sound waves. Drone textures and field recordings inside. -
From Ukraine, based in Berlin, @cadihh started DJing in 2018. Through the years, her passion for different genres of electronic music grew, and she started to develop herself into minimal and experimental music, with appearances in local clubs and festivals like Humboldthain Club, IPSE, Paloma Bar, MIT DIR - Festival and more. She also played on some events in Ukraine (Kyiv, Lutsk) and Serbia (Belgrad).
2020 marked a change with a new music approach for Cadih: exploring and diving deep into fast techno, trance and psytrance music, she is now building energetic & emotional sets with a precise selection of the finest tracks. Her last sets and podcasts definitely affirm this new style: an intense and fast race, combining energetic rhythms with playful trance melodies. Supporting alternative initiatives, Cadih took part and played at several underground events around Berlin and private parties in order to keep the freedom spirit & vibe alive.
Her first production of experimental music is going to be released on Kōrero and we this is her ambient/experimental podcast for our show. -

@tenatmospheres – a hidden gem that we are glad to have on the list! The mix is full of his own production.
Based in Vasto, a little town in the south of Italy, "Ten Atmospheres" is a music project started in 2018. Born and raised as a drummer, he played beats for many years until one day at “Ten Atmospheres” depth, he lost the 4/4.
He creates his music by blending the recorded sounds and playing synths in the studio, bringing a perfect marriage of his two passions. Always experimenting with new things, never limiting his inspiration for discovering a different way of making music. -

Extended interview with @pheek: https://www.cultkitchen.radio/pheek-interview
First taking interest as a sound enthusiast, Montreal's Jean-Patrice Remillard began exploring electronic music in earnest by the early 1990s, teaching himself how to produce and manipulate sounds with software and hardware. Pheek now finds himself releasing amongst his idols for such renowned labels as Richie Hawtin's M_NUS, France's Telegraph, Denmark's Tic Tac Toe or Germany's Contexterrior, gaining particular recognition for the unique quality and texture of his sounds. Nourished by his experiences and hoping to construct his own community of likeminded musicians, Pheek founded the Archipel Musique Canada netlabel in 2004 that is now firmly ensconced in the international minimal techno and tech-house scene. -

@mxxim has long waited for the release of this podcast, so did we. It's nice to alternate recordings of the world stars with friendly artists from native areas. Especially when they are on the same level in beauty.
Moscow-based DJ, vinyl collector, artist, architect, art director of the Dissonance team, known to the public for vinyl minimal house sets with a powerful groove. Now it's time to hear Maxim's ambient set.
Experimental mixes of MXXIM are rare and therefore especially valuable. They sound in dissonance with an architectural vision of the artist. In this new mix, he is looking into the past eras and destroyed civilizations, goes through half-forgotten recordings of his favorite songs and rhythms, weaving them into the ambient matter by the end of his journey. -

Take a talented person whose dance music mixes usually explode outstanding vibes. Create unusual conditions – like an ambient set in the middle of the night. For sure, something amazing will turn out. So did we – invited Nastya @tkacheva for our showcase in @gazgolderclub. -

Both as a DJ and a producer, Patrick Gräser aka @answercoderequest has honed a hybrid musical approach that stands out in a world of uniform 4/4 techno. Melding pad-driven harmonies, intricate breaks and an industrial sonic palette, Gräser has occupied a unique space within the @ostgutton-official cosmos since debuting on the label in 2012 and becoming a Berghain resident shortly thereafter. His various releases and remixes for Ostgut Ton, MDR, Dolly Deluxe and Monkeytown Records continue to be highly sought after. As a DJ, he has taken his bass- and breaks-heavy techno to clubs and festivals around the globe, while remaining an integral part of the Berlin scene.
For our show, he recorded a special set that is changing the mood from the beginning to a climax in the middle with a long outro to the end. This mix is made to connect people in the times of self-isolation and to give everyone a positive mood. If you open your imagination, you can explore the personal feelings of Patrick hidden behind the music. Ambient for him is not only background music but a cure that helps you feel more calm and positive in hard times. -

@ratigar is a Moscow-based DJ & producer whose sets primarily focus on dark and hypnotic techno, infused with hardcore, IDM and electro from the extensive vinyl collection. Now it's time to listen to his experimental set. You could have heard him in @mutabormoscow and on the events of the @synchr0n promo group. Ratigar released tracks on the Berlin-based label @acht-me and is currently working on a new EP – don't miss as soon as it's out. -

Ilya @symphocat is an ambient producer and curator of the Sonogramma Podcast series on CultKitchen Radio. On the showcase, he presented an hour-long live act filled with abstract dub, slow and lingering rhythms, verses and a granular voice. Matter seems to burst through time and distance. An overnight intertwined state of free and dark poetry. - Mehr anzeigen
