  • A little casual convo between the boys after the post draft hype has died down.  A lot of surprising facts about age. Lots of talk about wide receivers who could be ready to break out. Want thoughts on that RB10-20 group? We got em.  Lots of good talk on some smaller details. You can use it for drumming up some post draft trades or for pre start up drafts. Enjoy.  As always get ahold of us @dynastymodepod on all social media and [email protected]

  • Top to bottom coverage of the 2021 NFL Draft for Dynasty Fantasy Football. We hit on all levels at all the positions. The audio ends a little abruptly but not worth redoing just know you don't miss anything. Also, a little bit of the wording in the outline we work from made a question asked a bit confusing. If you read all this it'll make sense when you hear it.  Hit us up at [email protected] and social media @dynastymodepod. We hope you're just as excited about the upcoming season as us!

  • This is a repeat of part of one of the podcasts from last season.  We were lucky enough to get Daniel Adler, current Minnesota Twins assistant general manager and former Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Football research, to talk with us.  He took questions about dynasty fantasy football and answered them with information on how he has operated with real professional sports teams. A few dated references in here but the meat and potatoes of it will always be relevant. Given that everyone is looking for an advantage to win their upcoming drafts it felt like a good time to share this again.  If you like it please like, subscribe, and interact with us on social media @dynastymodepod and [email protected].  We will have our post-draft pod out to you Monday morning!

  • Welcome back! The first podcast is our predraft rankings.  Dave, Mike, and Kevin discuss all the major players in this year's 2021 NFL Draft.  We have a serious discussion where we are split three ways about who the 1.01 should be in non-Superflex leagues.  Let us help you make your choice between JaMarr Chase, Kyle Pitts, and Najee Harris. Trevor Lawrence is the clear-cut number one amongst us but then it gets a little hazy. Do we like the monster arm of Zach Wilson, the total package of Justin Fields, the game manager Mac Jones and the raw potential of Trey Lance? We talk about the big three running backs of Harris, Travis Etienne, and Javonte Williams.  After that, we discuss a few in the second tier.  We discuss the tight end a little more in-depth than just Kyle Pitts giving thoughts on players like Pat Freiermuth and Brevin Jordan. Lastly, we talk about another absolutely stacked wide receiver class.  Which Alabama star are we higher on, Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle? After the clear-cut top three, we love players like Rashod Bateman, Elijah Moore, and a few deep sleepers.  Let us know what you want to hear on the pod this upcoming season @dynastymodepod on social media and [email protected].  Please like, subscribe, and tell a friend.

  • Congrats to everyone who has made their championship. For everyone else Dave, Kevin, and Mike are joined by NESN's Doug Kyed to begin looking at 2021 for you.  Is it way too early to do this? Absolutely. Does is stop us from making hot takes? NO WAY.

    - Who are the multiple second year wide receivers we see making massive leaps?

    - What incoming rookie do we project to land immediately in the top 3 at their position?

    - What big time rookie is referred to as Chad Pennington 2.0?

    - Two people predict a big time bounce back by someone who has probably burned you three times already.

    - Using some clever math there is a running back who may get more targets than CMC did in 2019, one of us predicts him to be a top 5 RB next year.

    - What QB solidifies himself as top 12 player because of being coached up?

    - What can't miss WR prospect is labeled a bust?

  • This quick one is for everyone who didn't make it into the playoffs.  While your league mates are going for the championship it's time for some of you to be thinking of the 2022 championship.  We discuss tearing it all down, where to start the rebuild, the common mistakes people make, and more.  If you're deadset on having some name players on your team we discuss a few we like to build around.   If you're thinking about next year now you're already ahead of the rest of your league!

  • The dynasty spin on looking at your fantasy playoffs. Dave plays through the pain of Covid-19 to discuss the next three weeks of the season with Mike.  We discuss some players who you may be considering for your starting line ups and whether or not we like them for the playoffs and the long term.  This was recorded before Christian McCaffrey was all but ruled out for Week 14 otherwise we would have discussed Mike Davis.  I'll say here that I feel ok about flexing Mike Davis but only ok.  If you're wondering to ride the wave of Kirk Cousins, Jarvis Landry or if Joe Burrow's injury makes us like Tyler Boyd less you'll find it out here.  Use these last 3 weeks to audition players for hold and sell for next season too.  As always we'd love to hear from you at [email protected] or @dynastymodepod on twitter or Instagram.

We give you a look into the Dynasty Mode crystal ball by telling you who the most overrated and underrated player on every team is. This way you can under pay for great talent and sell overrated players for the big bucks.  When you win next year we'll set up a patron for you to give us some of your winnings. • Welcome back to a Saturday drop of Dynasty Mode.  It's a little late but the information is intended to be evergreen.  We kick the pod off with a talk of where we'd love to see some players get traded this week before the trade deadline.  We find new homes for some pretty primo players and set them up in positions to thrive! Their GMs probably won't but this is a fun exercise.

After seeing most of these guys in about six games there's a large enough sample size to go back and do the first 20 picks of the 2020 dynasty fantasy football draft over again.   We discuss who should be the top pick overall in hindsight.  Are the true elite top 3 RBs still there? Where would we draft James Robinson and Antonio Gibson with 20/20 hindsight?  Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy went before CeeDee Lamb in the real draft, does that happen ever again in any format? Who has surpassed them as well.  We have a couple of undrafted rookies that make our top 20.  We also discuss the difference between players who have draft capital invested in them and UDFAs and what that means for their long term success in the league.  We also discuss players Jalen Reagor, Michael Pittman, and Tua Tagovailoa and how their lack of playing time affects their inclusion in this draft. We have some lengthier discussions about players like Jerry Jeudy, Cam Akers and KeShawn Vaughn and their long term outlook after being disappointing in the first six games of their careers.  A great listen for the weekend as you start trying to target youngsters before your fantasy trade deadline. • Welcome back! We finish up our long term rankings with wide receivers. The top 15-17 are pretty unanimous but rounding it out isn’t quite as easy.  Kevin, Dave, and Mike are all over the place on guys like Will Fuller, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Robby Anderson, and Jamison Crowder.  After we discuss the now we get into the future.  Who would be the one wide receiver Dave or Mike build a team around? We discuss who we see fall out of the top 20 next year.  How many more years of top level returns do Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, and others have? Who is showing enough this year to think they are the top 20 guys next year?  We discuss if players like Laviska Shenault, Deebo Samuel, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, DJ Chark, and Marquise Brown make it into the top 20 in the next 5 years.  Lastly, we discuss if players like Jarvis Landry, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and DJ Moore crack the top 20 at any point. • Dave and Mike bring you the quarterback rankings this week.  Before we get into that we discuss the big news of the moment and its impact on dynasty managers. Dak Prescott had a gruesome injury that makes Andy Dalton relevant again.  We discuss just how relevant and effective he will be. The other big news was the release of LeVeon Bell.  It’s totally possible by the time you’re hearing this that he has landed in his new home.  We discuss where we like him, where we don’t, places not rumored but we like and it segways into a reminder that Antonio Brown is getting closer to back in the league.  Then we discuss the now, short and long term future of the quarterback position. Is there anything that can move us off Patrick Mahomes at any point minus a massive injury? NO! That being said there is incredibly young depth at the position with plenty ready to join them. Who rounds out the top ten this year? We discuss Baker Mayfield, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, and a couple others who snuck in. We talk about the potential for next year when Tua Tagovailoa, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert all have a year under our belts.  It’s hard to predict five years down the road but we do our best.  One of us is skeptical of Lamar Jackson in five years. DeShaun Watson is another one. Lastly, we decide to close it out with a real-time discussion on a trade.  Trading is one of the most fun, important and difficult things to pull off in dynasty but since Dave and Mike had an offer on the table they decided to discuss it.  They talked to the logistics and their thought processes for it.

  • The season is a quarter done so that's enough information to project out for three years! We told you last week we would be ranking the running backs and we didn't lie.  We lead out discussing the firing of Bill O' Brien and what it means for the dynasty community.  We talk about the boom of Odell Beckham Jr. and Todd Gurley. Mike Davis has done an outstanding job filling in for Christian McCaffrey.  We discuss the idea that Davis could eat into the work of CMC moving forward. Before we get into the running back discussion we talk about the QB situation for the Washington Football Team.  The meat and potatoes of it is who are the top ten running backs this year, next year and three years for now. It ends up being a Miles Sanders, Joe Mixon and rookie running back heavy talk.  We foresaw the demise of Carson Wentz so will we be right about the rise of James Robinson.

  • Welcome back, everyone.  This week we discuss the teams who are winless and undefeated.  You don't go three weeks undefeated without some players overachieving. Conversely, you aren't winless unless players are underachieving.  Before we get into that we discuss just how old players like Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers are. We follow that up with a talk on whether or not quarterbacks should be valued even more regardless of format.  We then breakdown all your fantasy options on the aforementioned winless and undefeated teams.  Oh and when the audio poops out there's new music for it. We close it out with a little waiver wire talk.  If any of this sounds good make sure to follow us on social media @dynastymodpod or email us at [email protected].

  • Did you survive the blood bath that was week 2 of the NFL season? Does the rest of your season have you depressed? Well grab a glass of water unlike Mike before recording this and have a listen.  If you like our intro you get to hear it twice in this episode! Before we get into how to address injuries occurred during this week we talk about the impressive beginnings to the careers of Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert.  We walk back our Browns takes for the time being but feel like we are beginning to see more clarity in the situation.  We talk how frustrating the bridge from Mark Ingram to JK Dobbins is proving to be for owners.  Then we talk about how you can potentially save your season by going over a myriad of potential running back options. We first plant the seed for something later on where we discuss how it may be time to pivot away from Saquon Barkley. Whether you want to acquire a proven caliber guy like Austin Ekeler, a risky upstart in James Robinson or hope things fall into place correctly for someone like Ito Smith or Brian Hill we discuss how and why we think they can be had. Finally we close it out with some waiver wire chatter.  Hopefully you hear this in time for those Thursday morning waiver wire acquisitions.  We'd love it if you liked and subscribed or interacted with us on social media @dynastymodepod on Twitter or Instagram or email us at [email protected]

  • Week 1 has come to an end and we do our best to talk the long game. We start off with a waiver wire pick available in 99.9% of ESPN leagues. If it was too late for your waiver wire we have way more good information for you.  We follow up on last week's talk on air yards.  Was Mike's prophecy that they would be down true? We talk about the air yards for players like Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson. The surprising start of the Jacksonville Jaguars and what it could mean long term for fantasy managers.  We discuss if a Gardner Minshew, DJ Chark, Lavishka Shenault, and James Robinson core is a legitimate foundation. One of us is concerned about Austin Ekeler not being involved in the pass game. If Tyrod Taylor loses the job and Justin Herbert takes over the concern goes away some but Joshua Kelley proved himself worthy of playing time.  We discuss the train wreck the New York Jets are, why they should fire Adam Gase yesterday and how even when they do things we like they screw them up. Those were all the quick hits. We went into greater depth on the long term picture of Cam Newton and the new-look New England Patriots offense. We talk about what it projects for in the future, what it looks like against the rest of their schedule, and how soon he will need to see if his arm is back. We discuss the disgusting showing from the Cleveland Browns.  We think Baker Mayfield will be done in Cleveland soon but project a potentially rosy future for him.  The wide receiver group might not be what we thought it was going to be despite Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. Lastly we discuss how much we love the future of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger showed enough to get excited about the pass catchers. JuJu Smith-Schuster looked like the JuJu of old but with a new Antonio Brown like weapon in Diontae Johnson.  The improved James Washington provided quality on his targets and Chase Claypool looked NFL ready including making the hardest catch of the week. We close it out with a buy and sell that we think you can get good value on today and be ahead of your league.

  • We can’t help but assume that NFL GMs tuned into last week’s pod to hear Daniel talk about trading cap space for picks! If you missed that last week don't miss this week. The season starts today. We go over a few last things. Is it James Robinson SZN? We talk about things were excited about. We love the potential of Drew Lock and a potentially high powered Broncos offense. Cam Newton might be Josh McDaniel’s ideal quarterback and that excites us. We are not excited about the New York Jets and wonder if the end off dynasty relevance for Sam Darnold is a month away. After seeing Josh Rosen and Marcus Mariotta shipped out do Baker Mayfield owners need to move on now or ride him out? Jamal Adams in regular redrafts isn’t a needle mover.  In dynasty, he gets to match up with top-notch talent twice a year. We discuss whether this is undervalued. The names Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence are creeping into this pod more and more. Mike feels like the NFL draft is becoming more like the NBA draft, big-time raw talent being drafted in big spots. Do we see more Stefan Diggs style trades happening in the future? We talk big picture most of the time but if you’re a Zack Moss owner is he already a week one start? We can’t help but assume that NFL GMs tuned into last week’s pod to hear Daniel talk about trading cap space for picks!

  • A day late but certainly not a buck short. Dave and Mike talk about the Leonard Fournette news and what it means for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers backfield.  You'll hear it plenty on other podcasts but they aren't going into the long term of Ronald Jones and Ke'Shawn Vaughn like we do. After that, we get to the meat of the podcast, an interview with Daniel Adler. Daniel is the assistant general manager of the Minnesota Twins and previously the Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Football Research. We discuss how good are people who get paid to do this as a job are at managing fantasy teams.  Does he set out to find the data that proves his point or disproves his point? How often does he go with his gut if it says otherwise? When building a team do you want the best player or the best deal? Is a pick more valuable than a player? In a snake is it preferable to get the last guy in a tier to come back around earlier? If a prospect struggles but finally shows flashes, is it luck or potential realized? Why can some guys wash a stink off themselves so easily and others can't? If you ever wanted to hear someone whos built a real team talk about building a fantasy team this is the place.
