Theory will take you so far, I came across that quote in the movie Oppenheimer, it was the first time I heard that phrase but then I thought about it and I realized that it could be my life’s motto. Knowledge and theory are important, but there are things that can only be learned through experience, things about yourself and the work that you want to do that you can only get by rolling up your sleeves and getting some real world hands-on experience.
