Mr. Larlham joins us this week discussing his favorite bible verse of John 3:30 and why it means so much to him. This podcast has so much to cover such as why being a Christian makes sense, how to deal with hard times in life, and most importantly how the focus is on Jesus and not on ourselves.

Proverbs 4:5-9 "Get wisdom, get understanding: Forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: Love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: And with all thy getting get understanding"
Proverbs 3:14-18 "For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly."

This week was beautiful as we discussed the very broad topic of seeing God's love. Throughout this conversation there are many unique perspectives taken and wisdom shared. The basis of Christianity and Jesus' whole mission was love. That is why He did what He did on the cross for us. Exploring this love and recognizing it is a skill in its own but so powerful when acted upon.

We want to make it very clear especially with this video that we are NOT theological experts or anywhere near that. We started this whole thing as kids just wanting to share conversations we were having and that is what we are continuing to do. If you disagree with anything we say, first off we are very sorry for that and secondly please reach out to us privately and we would love to have a conversation with you! Please open your mind and heart to this episode and God bless!

1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
Christ in Athletics is so crucial to many young lives. It is the first taste of trial and sets us up for how to deal with the real world when you are older. Same way in faith, athletics can be used as an opportunity to grow closer to God or further. Our special guest, Andy, this week is exemplary in being a leader in his athletics but more importantly his faith.

This week we talk about God in Disguise and what the really means. As you watch or listen to this episode, you will quickly realize that Jesus was a perfect example of this. He lived a quiet life for many many years while being the son of God, but when God called on Him that's when Jesus stepped up and started to be vocal. God in Disguise can also mean seeing God through things or people that you don't recognize at first. Psalm 139:8 - "If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there."
-
2 Corinthians 5:20 - "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." The focus this week is living in such a way that our lives clearly reflect Christ. It is so easy to fall into focusing about everything else in life and losing sight of who we truly represent when we talk, act, and even our attitude. It is by no means easy, but the Bible tells us how we should live and why.

This week in discussing vulnerability we discovered a lot of new perspectives. Finding what 'being vulnerable' in faith means is crucial and different from just being open. In our opinion, this was the best podcast we've had yet. We really recommend taking the time to listen to the whole thing and opening up your heart to this conversation.
A perfect reflection of this week's topic is in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 - " But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

This week we are honored to be joined by our school's principal to talk about faith and what it really means. We provide different perspectives from different powerful experiences in our lives that represent "moments of faith". First, what is the Bible's definition of faith? Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." If you don't understand what faith truly means or how to put it into your life, hopefully this week will help with that.

The devil's ways have not changed since the beginning. Equip yourself with scripture like Jesus did in Matthew 4. We are just highschoolers discussing an intense and challenging topic. We hope that our discussion and some of the things we said brought new perspective. Fight the good fight and hold strong like Jesus and Job. For resisting temptation brings glory to God.A podcast to listen to about temptation is this:https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/shelbyb/episodes/How-to-Resist-our-Temptations-e14tjub

Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
It is easy to get caught up in our busy lives and sometimes lose track of what matters most. This week we talk about how we can balance living out our faith in our busy lives. Incorporate Him into all things you do and lean on him for support.

Acts 2:42–47 "And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."
The importance of surrounding yourself with people that will push you towards God is crucial to our faith. Your community will push you in either direction, find a community that pushes you towards Christ. Pray for it and the Lord will deliver.

Matthew 16:24-26 "Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?"
-
James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Following God will not always be easy and sometimes he will place trials into our lives. When these trials are presented we need to realize that God is having us grow in these moments and be thankful for the hardships he puts us through.

If you are skeptical on faith or don't know where to start this is a episode for you. Living a life of faith can be very hard to do and Jesus calls us to drop everything and follow him. As this group is made up of high schoolers, we face the trials that come with being vocal about our faith. If you are curious and maybe want to start being more passionate about your faith, please watch or listen to the whole thing. The episode gets better and better the whole time. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20

1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Thanksgiving is an amazing time of the year to take a step back and look at all the blessings you are grateful for. In this process take some time to reflect on God and the things he's blessed you with.
-
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."Trusting God's plan for us is not always easy. In this podcast you can see a lot of situations where we reflect on "coincidences " and their purpose in our life. God's plan is so much greater and he will take steps that we don't always necessarily want. Open your heart to him and trust in his plan.
-
During this episode we challenge you to question your relationship with God. Do you treat him like your best friend? How much time do you spend with him? What ways do you spend time with him?"Come near to God and He will come near to you." - James 4:8. As we make the effort to come near to God, He promises to draw near to us. If you take the first step, God will do all the rest. Trust God to meet you where you are at and provide everything you need.
