We've got a holiday Barbenheimer sort of thing going this week, with the dual release of the musical "Wicked" and the Oscar sequel "Gladiator II." We also discuss the Netflix August Wilson adaptation "The Piano Lesson." And happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Fortunately, we have three meaty movies to talk about this week. Sean Baker's "Anora," Steve McQueen's "Blitz" and the Hugh Grant horror film "Heretic."
We have you are staying safe and all right this week.

We have two movies to talk about, and we get into both of them, the Oscar hopeful Vatican drama "Conclave" and then the end (?) of the Venom trilogy, "Venom: The Last Dance."
But this episode is really about our conversation at the end, when we do a brain download of all our election thoughts and anxieties. It's OK if you skip that part. But we found it helpful.
We're off next week because Leitch is running the NYC Marathon. We'll see you all on the other side.
