Social media can feel like an absolute minefield when it comes to reaching new audiences. There's one part of social media that I think people can find particularly frustrating: trying to tip the social media algorithms in their favour. In this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to tell you how to tip the algorithms in your favour... not by jumping through a bunch of hoops and setting up 95,000 different rules for yourself. But by taking a long-term approach to your social media growth, and making sure that you make the algorithms your friend.
Social media algorithms are very kind to me. But that's because I have been kind to them and I have always taken a long-term approach when it comes to tipping social media algorithms in my favour.
If you want to do the same - you want to get out of the algorithm short-term, tying-yourself-in-knots, what's-the-algorithm-doing-now dramas, and you want to tip those algorithms in your favour, then make sure that you stay tuned to this episode of the podcast.
The first thing I want to say when it comes to social media algorithms is do not tie yourself in knots trying to understand every single little nuance, change and rule that social media marketers tell you you need to follow in order to tip the algorithms in your favour.Social media marketers and mentors have a vested interest in convincing you that social media algorithms need to be kept up-to-date with on a minute-to-minute basis. That keeps you plugged into their content feed. That keeps you plugged into buying their latest offer, which has new social media algorithm updates and the latest insights from the social media algorithms.
Yes, social media algorithms are constantly being updated. But as a creator on social media, that does not mean that you need to know about every single change to the algorithm.

Have you got a juicy idea for a new offer that you want to get out to market as quickly as possible? Well in this episode, I'm going to encourage you to hold your horses for just a moment until you can validate your new offer...How would it feel if you could release your new offer out to market already knowing that your audience will love it, that you've got great messaging behind it, and that it's going to make sales?
That's the difference between launching a validated offer versus launching a cold offer.
In this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to walk you through how to validate your new offer so that when you release it to market, you can be confident that it's going to sell.
Before we go into the detailed strategy in today's episode, I want to acknowledge that at the end of the day, the only way to truly validate whether someone will buy your offer or not, is to offer it to them and see if they buy it.Ultimately, you can have as many people as you want say that the offer is great and they would definitely buy it... but if you've launched offers in the past having had people say they definitely would buy something like that, you've probably also experienced the frustration of those very same people not buying it.
True validation comes when people buy it.

I am going to walk you through how to get hot leads from what you do on social media... but it's going to be quite a different strategy to what you would see from some of the most prolific social media coaches and teachers out there.
Today we are going to get you hot leads consistently from social media!
When it comes to making money from what it is that you do on social media, a lot of people assume that if they reach more people with their content, they will make more sales. But reaching someone on social media and then immediately making a sale to them is the exception, it's not the rule.

If time is of the essence for you to grow your business, you're going to be surprised by how helpful this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast is... because I see far too many online business owners spending a lot of time making opt-ins that are actually a complete waste of their time and energy. We know that time is such an important resource for us. Not all list growth is created equal. Not all opt-ins are created equal.
So stop wasting time on these opt-ins!
Your time is one of your most important resources, especially as a business owner.I don't know many business owners who started their business so they could spend hours and hours a day wasting their time on things that don't create any traction.

In today's episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, we will continue on from a previous episode (which you can find here) where I will help you improve your reach and grow your audience.I have ten more ways that you can improve your reach.
Before we dive into today's episode, I want to mention that a lot of the strategies I'm going to share with you today are more high connection, high conversion, and work best for offline businesses.Where you might have a brick-and-mortar business or a clinic, or you see people in person, these may be more effective for you.
But I also think that sometimes we discount local connections and in-person connections for our online businesses. Yet that can be a really quick way to fast-track your results and get more sales!
Don't write these all off! I want you to still dive into this episode. You might find something that you want to play with in your business as well.

In today's episode, I'm going to walk you through what makes great market research for online business.I'm also going to dispel some of those myths about what market research needs to involve so that you can understand how powerful market research can be and deepen your understanding of how you might go about it.
I would pretty confidently guess that at this stage of life, you've likely experienced being part of someone else's market research multiple times.Your market research experience could be that you've:
Had someone ask you a couple of questions as you walk past them in a shopping mallHad someone ring you and ask you "just three really quick questions" for their market researchFilled in a long unwieldy survey for some company whose mailing list you're subscribed to (shoutout to the airlines - they always seem to have the longest surveys with the weirdest questions)Answered someone's question on social media or via emailI would say that most people have participated in multiple forms of market research.
But unfortunately, if you have participated in that, it's likely you've also experienced some of the worst possible parts of being part of market research.

I'm not saying this because I want to make you fearful or worried in any way, shape or form, because I'm absolutely going to help you sort this out... but something that I have noticed for a lot of online marketers (particularly those who use content marketing and content creation as a way of attracting audience members and making sales) is that they are sabotaging the success of that content.
They don't even realise that that's what they're doing.
In this episode, I'm going to uncover and help you see how you might be sabotaging your content and fix it quickly, in a short, sharp episode.
If you are someone who creates content - whether it's for social media, podcasts like this, blogs for your website, or webinars - I want you to check out this podcast episode so that we can ensure you're not sabotaging that content's success.
The big sabotage I want to talk about today is the experience you may have had before where you do all this work of creating content, and then you don't distribute it adequately. You create a new freebie where you're thinking about your ideal clients, putting nice imagery with it and making this spectacular fresh content... but it's not just the existence of that content that does the job of attracting, warming up and converting your audience into paying clients.
The content existing doesn't do all of the job. It needs to be distributed.

This episode of the Heart-Centered Business Podcast comes with a warning label: As I join you from the floor of my office sitting on the carpet (yes, it's a Podcarpet episode!), I want you to know that listening to this episode may completely change your worldview, especially concerning the word lazy and being someone who embraces laziness.
You've been warned!!!I want to talk to you today about my relationship with laziness and ease.
Over the last few months, I have noticed in my group program calls, I have had to have this talk with many people over and over again.
I figured it's time for us to bring this conversation to the podcast, so that we can all work a little less hard, be a little less burnt out, and at the same time, get better results and feel more successful. Isn't that what we all want?
If that's what you want, then it's time for you to embrace your lazy self.
This is a Podcarpet episode of the podcast, which means I may wander off-topic a bit. But I think it's an important conversation for us to have. The reason is that over the last few months, I have noticed on my course calls that a lot of people seem to struggle with being nice to themselves and with this belief that they have to work hard and harder (and the hardest!) to get better results or to get any results.
I want to give you some examples here because I think that they are insightful as to the different ways that this hustle culture and perfectionist society impact us as business owners.

Have you always wanted to craft the perfect tagline and elevator pitch for your business, so that you can concisely tell people exactly what your business is and get them excited to buy from you?If that is you, then you'll want to stay tuned for this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, because that is what I'm talking about today.
This podcast episode is going to be a lot shorter than you think... because when it comes to creating the perfect tagline and elevator pitch for your business, it doesn't actually exist.Think about the famous taglines of businesses that first come to mind... the one I think of is from Nike - "Just Do It".
Does it tell you anything about the product or business?
That doesn't express the value proposition of buying Nike products. It doesn't tell you anything about the quality of their products or about the transformation that they facilitate.
It has no information or insight in it. It's just catchy. It's just a tagline.

"I have too many things to do and not enough time to do them!"If that is something that has popped into your brain or out of your mouth in the last few months, know that you are not alone.
It is a common challenge for business owners to feel like it's hard to stay on top of everything.
The good news is that in this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to share with you how to stay on top of all the things.
I have some very practical strategies for you.
Before we dive in, I want to acknowledge that as a business owner, there's always more that you can be doing. If you told me you had 28 days straight to work solely on growing your business, I could fill that 28 days. If you finish your projects early, there are always other things that you can be working on.
As a business owner, that's one of the biggest challenges. We have so many options.
We can ALWAYS:
Make up new ideas to get more clientsDeliver more effectively to current clientsImprove our businessGrow our audienceThere's always something that we can add to our to-do list.

What do you think is the number one strategy that I use to make sales in my business? Whether it's selling a group program like the Take Off program, or selling a VIP package to work with me, what do you think gets the most sales for me in my business?
You might be surprised to learn that even at this stage of my business, my number one strategy is sales conversations. My number one sales strategy is talking to people one-on-one (whether it's in writing or on a Zoom call), making sure that I understand what it is that they're looking for, what they need and what they're struggling with, and then helping them to work out what the best next step might be for us to work together...
And we do that on a sales conversation.
Hearing that might make you feel a bit EEEEEKKK because as a buyer, you may have experienced one of those pushy sales conversations, or as a seller, you may have felt a bit awkward when doing sales conversations.
It's something that a lot of people try to avoid very clearly in their business. They don't want to face up to having to hear the rejection one-on-one. Or they find it really awkward and uncomfortable because they think they need to be pushy or they need to be switched on and in sales mode.
But that's not the case.
In today's episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to walk you through my consent-based sales conversation structure.
The reason why I want to do that is because:
1. When you see it all laid out, you'll see why it's so effective.
2. Having that structure will help you to feel more comfortable in having sales conversations yourself.
3. Seeing the consent-based approach to sales conversations really highlights the difference between consent-based sales conversations and those pushy aggressive sales conversations. That will help you as both a buyer and a seller.

Have you ever worked with a mentor or done a course, and you worked so hard to follow the steps and implement the strategy perfectly... yet you didn't get the results?
This episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast is going to help you navigate that experience!
You'll understand where the result may be missing, and how to move forward in a way that ensures you don't make it mean that you're just "not meant to be successful" and everything comes down to you being a failure.
I've got some big advice for when you follow the steps but you don't get the results...
You may have had this experience before where you've done a group course, and it feels like the strategies work for other people, but they just don't work for you.
Why is it that when you do the exact same thing as someone else, you're not getting the exact same results?
Part of the reason why that happens is because we all have completely different variables as to what we have in terms of assets, momentum, clarity, and the strength of our business foundations.
There are so many factors involved when you follow the steps. And there are so many things that impact the results that come out of following those steps.
This is something that I get particularly fired up about.

It's time for another Podcarpet! I'm currently sitting on the carpet in my office, and in today's episode, I want to talk about this concept that everything is content.
There's an audio that people use on Instagram (I think it comes from TikTok, but I watch TikToks three months later on Instagram like a genuine 40-something-year-old) that sings "Everything is content. Everything is content. Don't forget to film it. Don't forget to film it."
This has been a topic of conversation a few times in different circles that I am very honoured and so fortunate to be part of.
One of those is a masterminding group with a few very successful business owners from Australia and overseas. We had a conversation two years ago where more and more we were seeing that different parts of our lives were not for public consumption.
Some of the people in the group were talking about how when they had their kids that really became more prominent for them. In other cases, it was just this feeling of not wanting to milk every element of their life for content anymore.
For me, that's always been the case.
There are parts of my life that I don't share with my business content.

In today's episode, I'm going to share with you why my planning system works for entrepreneurs. This episode is a little different because I want to talk about it through the lens of one of my products.
But I'm not doing that in order to promote my planning system to you. You are welcome to sign up for the waitlist at tashcorbin.com/planner, but I am releasing this episode as far away from planning time and the promotion of my planner as you could probably get in my business.
I'm doing this because I think it's really helpful for you to create a strategy, process or structure around your own planning that works for you.
I'm going to share with you why my planning system really works for entrepreneurs so that you can look for whether you have that in your own planning structure and the way that you manage yourself as the CEO of your business. If not, you might be able to fill those gaps with your own strategies - not necessarily through having to buy my planner.
As I mentioned, if you are interested in jumping on the waitlist for next year's Planner, you can do so here: tashcorbin.com/planner
You can also grab my FREE Quarterly Planning Template at any time here: tashcorbin.com/qplan
Please do not think that I'm only doing this episode because I want you to think that my Planner is amazing. I really do think that dissecting this is going to be very helpful to see what may be missing in your own planning or self-management strategies.
I have been selling the Heart-Centred Business Planner since 2014. The 2025 planner will be the 11th round! In that time, I have changed and updated the planner itself quite significantly. I have also added in the planning system.
When I first started selling the Heart-Centred Business Planner it was just a yearly planner.
But something that I really struggled with when it was just a planner was:
1. People just bought it and then I never heard from them again
2. I had no idea if it worked for them or if they filled it in
3. Seeing as filling it in is only the first part of the equation, I wanted to make sure they IMPLEMENTED their plan!

In a recent episode of the podcast, I talked about why I don't recommend charging for webinars (most of the time). In response to that podcast episode, I've received so much feedback and so many follow-up questions. One of the most common questions that people asked was about the upsell - specifically, how they CAN upsell from low-ticket.In this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to break down how you upsell from a low-ticket product with integrity and using consent-based marketing practices.
This is a very practical episode that's going to be very helpful - especially if you do choose to sell low-ticket products.
Before we dive into this episode, I want to map out for you what I'm going to cover:1. Using low-ticket products as a lead magnet in your business - charging people for a product, and then using that as a way to get an opportunity to upsell them into further work with you.
2. How to upsell to bigger offers in a way that isn't discrediting yourself, or creating some kind of friction or tension with your potential customers.
3. How to upsell with integrity using consent-based marketing practices.
First and foremost, I do want to say that having a low-ticket offer in your business can be super helpful.

I don't know about you but I get SO frustrated when I hear business mentors and marketing strategists giving business advice online, who seem to assume that everyone has 12 hours a day, seven days a week that they can pour into their business. It doesn't take into account anyone wanting to start a business with limited time.
At least I assume that that's what they're saying, because when they talk about all the things that you HAVE to be doing, otherwise you're leaving money on the table and you'll never be successful in business, there's no way you can jam all of that in if you've got limited time.
In today's episode, I'm going to talk to you about starting a business with limited time.
Whether that is because you're starting it as a side hustle, you have household responsibilities, you are unwell, or some other reason, I want to help you create business growth and sustainable profitability as quickly as possible with that limited time.
Let's dive into this juicy practical episode about starting a business with limited time!
If you haven't yet heard me speak about the hours that I work in my business, you may not realise that at this point, I am still working less than 20 hours a week in my business.
A big reason for that is because I had surgery in 2021 that was a result of some very terrible health issues, and my recovery from that surgery was terrible. For about eight weeks, I ended up unable to do more than half an hour a day. That was it.
Then for another eight months, I worked less than eight hours a week in my business.
I have absolutely been running my business on a very limited time.

Episode 336: The most common gap in our client attraction process - tashcorbin.com/336Core Messaging template - tashcorbin.com/coremessage
Do you believe that your business would be far more successful if you could just improve your reach and grow a bigger audience?
Are you struggling to get the algorithms on your side and get your content reaching the right people?
That's what we're going to solve in today's episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast!
In today's episode, I'm sharing with you some very creative ways that you can improve your reach and get in front of more of your ideal clients.
Before I share with you these creative ways to improve your reach, I want to say that for most people in online business, you don't JUST have a reach problem.
When it comes to getting in front of your ideal clients and making sales, there is more to the story than just getting your offers in front of more and more people.
Sometimes we can get very fixated on reach and conversion in our business.
But there is a gap between them that we need to fill.
If that is something that you would like to explore, I highly recommend you check out a previous episode of the podcast where I talked about the most common gap in many people's client attraction process, and how many people are ignoring the nurture and invite stages of their client attraction process in favour of trying to grow their reach. Watch, read or listen at: tashcorbin.com/336
It's important that you fill that gap first, because if you're making zero sales when you're only reaching a tiny audience, then if we multiply that audience by 100, you're still going to make zero sales... zero times 100 is still zero.

Welcome to the 400th episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast!!
I recently found out that only 11% of podcasts make it to 50 episodes, and a further 90% of those do NOT make it past 100 episodes.Even just the fact that this podcast is still going means that it is in the top 1-2% of podcasts in the world… simply because I keep recording it! In fact, you only need 21 episodes of a podcast to make it into the top 1% these days.
LESSON: You don’t need to record too many podcast episodes for you to be more tenacious and have more staying power than other people.
To celebrate 400 episodes, I recently asked listeners of the podcast to submit questions for this special episode.
We have some fantastic questions about podcasting, business, accessibility, social media, and more.
We are going to have some fun conversations today!

Welcome to the first Podcarpet episode of the podcast! As I record this episode, I'm sitting on the carpet in my office, chilling out, excited to talk to you about the benefits of bootstrapping.
This format of podcast episode is something that I'm going to smatter throughout the podcast as we move forward. They're more informal episodes where I just want to share an insight or start a conversation without having completely figured out the concept yet.
They may even bring up more questions than answers!
Some of these conversations have stemmed from Facebook Lives that I've done. But wanted to bring them to the podcast so that we can dive a little bit deeper, start some epic convos, and just have a little carpet time together.
The whole premise behind doing these pod carpets is to have an exploratory conversation about a particular topic or a question that's come up...
This first one starts with a moment of gratitude.
I recently did a webinar where I was talking about how grateful I am that I didn't have a lot of money when I first started my business.
I really do believe that if I had had $20,000 to start my business, not only would I have spent that money on things that wouldn't have moved me forward... but it would have also slowed down my progress in starting my business.

My previous podcast about income tracking: tashcorbin.com/385How on earth do you get so much done, Tash?
Do you really work less than 25 hours each week? Surely not, I see you everywhere!
These are some of the most consistent things I hear whenever I talk about productivity and hours of work.
AND YES - I sell a planning system, so I have a bit of a bias towards using a planner to know what you're doing when you sit to get work done.
BUT I'm not talking about the bigger system today. Instead I want to focus on the core of my productivity, which I believe can be attributed to the way I start and end my day.
SO - in this episode I'm sharing my morning and end of day routines that boost my productivity. That way, if you want to try some of these out for yourself, you can!
Ready to boost your productivity with some simple ways to start and end your day?
Let's do it, shall we? Let the productivity pod... BEGIN!
These are my top productivity boosters, that I use at the start and end of my day... most days.
Let's start by covering the end of day first, because my end of day routine feeds into my start of day routine on the next day that I work in my business.
Firstly - I have the same end of day routine, no matter what time I finish up! Some days, I'm finished my day by 10am... because my key tasks are DONE, and I get to decide if I want to dive into more, or if I'm done. The end of my work day can be at very different times of the day, but I always end off with the same little closing down routine:
Tracking my income: I calculate and track my income received since my last income tracking (generally the end of the previous day).Quick journaling: Usually this is simply 2-3 sentences about how I'm feeling. The prompts vary, but it's generally about my output (what I've done today) or my outcomes (what results have come in today).Tomorrow's priorities: I flip to the next day of my planner, and I write down my top three actions for the next day. This is particularly important, because that sets up my 'start of day' routine for the next day (as you'll see in the following section).Laptop shutdown: Once I have my top 3 tasks for the next day, I shut down my computer. YES, every day, I close all the tabs down. I shut down properly, and then close the lid of my laptop.Planner on top: My final step - I pop my planner on top of my laptop. I'm literally making it impossible for me to open my laptop the next day without picking up my planner. My end of day routine is something that's taken years to refine... but it works so well for me.
Why income tracking and...
