I was lucky enough to have Dave (RTS) get in touch with me when I started doing this delightful little pod. Not only was I grateful because he is a decent human being, but also because it meant I became aware of his excellent YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RoseTintedSpectrum It's absolutely brilliant. Very funny, quite sweary and put together with a lot of love and detail.
In this episode we barely mention the game he brought...totally my fault, I was fanboying a little bit. If you do watch some of his videos, be sure to mention you heard him here first.
Oh and if you are a Speccy owner...there's a cheeky bonus for you at the end of the pod.

Hello you. David Turner here. Growing up in the 90's, I was a big fan of Iain Lee. The 11 O'Clock Show made me howl and I've followed his journey since then. Whether it be stealing strawberries or winding people up on late night radio, he's always a fun character.

Rees hosts a YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/ctrlaltrees where he makes some fascinating videos explaining consoles, computers and games. He also spends a lot of time restoring old machines. I find the latter incredibly relaxing. I have no real idea what he's doing, but for me it's almost meditative. He also host a delightful podcast called Rees Rambles. https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/reesrambles

Something slightly different this week and a real thrill for me. Count Binface comes from the planet Sigma 9 and has decided to try and help British politcs. He has stood in several elections including the race to be mayor of London.
He's hoping to run again but it costs £10k. He has a GoFundMe which you can have a look at if you feel so inclined - https://www.gofundme.com/f/CountBinface2024 and check him out on Twitter https://twitter.com/CountBinface

This episode I am joined by gaming pioneer Kevin Toms. He wrote the original Football Manager back in the early 80's Always a thrill for me to talk to the people that really were at the forefront of gaming in the UK. We do spend a lot of the time talking about late diagnosis of ADHD and as always, I learn so much talking to other ADHDers.

I did have a few problems with the audio and the mix isn't how I'd like it, so apologies for the levels.

This was a real thrill for me...watch me fanboying as I speak to actress, author and voice over artist Shelley Blond. She has never played a video game...so why talk to her? Two reasons - one she is fab and secondly because she is the OG voice of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.
I really enjoyed this - big thanks to Shelley for taking the time to chat.

Episode 2 of the podcast that invites it's guest to bring a game from the past that means something to them. Good, bad or just really weird, we dig deep to find out why that game is so special.
Podcast host and broadcaster David Turner joined me to talk about Fiendish Freddie's Big Top O' Fun on the Atari ST. It's a tough and often terrifying game.

I'm joined by Scott Balcony of www.balconyshirts.co.uk to talk about one of his favourite games. Minder on the ZX Spectrum is an incredibly frustrating experience but is also a lot of fun.
