In this episode, I spoke with John Longo about basic running principles and the development of supershoes by running companies. John works as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist in Albany, NY. He ran collegiately at SUNY Oneonta and then had a kit deal with Nike for 1 year after college.

In this weeks episode, I spoke with Tyler Kallasy. Tyler is a travel physical therapist that is currently a home health physical therapist in California. On the side, he works for Prime Movement and Performance as a remote coach where he does general and individualized programming. As he has traveled through the country, he has gained a tremendous amount of experience coaching at various CrossFit gyms. In this episode, we talked about bridging the gap between physical therapy and strength & conditioning, we talked about some of our key take-aways after taking the Active Life Seminar, and how to dial in your client assessments.

Bri is an aspiring cookbook author. She was misdiagnosed for 9 months before being diagnosed with Hashimoto's. After adopting an Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) Diet, she now is in remission. She wants to use what she learned and help others with her cookbook.

In this week's episode, I talked with Ryan Coye. He became the Clinical Director of SPEAR’S New York City Midtown – Plaza Hotel location in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. We discussed the difficulties of navigating the pandemic, the responsibilities of being a clinic director, hiring and firing employees, and learning to lead a clinic.
Ryan earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. During his time there, Ryan served as Co-President of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society for academic excellence among allied health professionals. Before attending graduate school, Ryan received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Binghamton University.

In this weeks episode, I talked with James Zotto about his experience as a sports resident. James completed his sports physical therapy residency at the University of North Dakota. As a sports resident, he worked at the UND Center for Sports Medicine with teams such as the football and nationally-ranked hockey program. He also worked with recreational athletes and the general orthopedic population at a clinic associated with the Altru Health System. Prior to that, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

Sarah owns Pinnacle Hill Chiropractic in Rochester, NY with her husband Mike. She is specialty trained as a pregnancy chiropractor and also has extensive training in postpartum care. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She is an alumni from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and graduated with an honors specialization in Kinesiology. She decided to further her studies in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at New York Chiropractic College in September 2011.
