A couple of months ago, Adam and I visited one of our bucket list destinations; The Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan. A country most people haven’t heard of but if you have, it’s probably because it’s coined the ‘Happiest Country’, which famously prioritises its citizens happiness over national wealth (GDP). Bhutan is also known for being the first and only carbon-negative country in the world!
Join us as Adam and I recount our firsthand experience from a 7-day road trip around the country. We answer questions from our Instagram community and interweave a conversation that we had with former Prime Minister, Ushering Tobgay, covering all things adventure, culture, tradition & sustainability.

This week Adam sits down with one of his best friends, Sam. Sam is Adam’s most unlikely friend to take on Adventure since he loves his home comforts & relaxing on the couch. However, this all changed when Sam decided to challenge himself and walk the length of the Jurassic Coast - 186km in 6 days.
This episode highlights how you can hold onto your steady job and not have to go off to live in a Van or a boat to find adventure. It can be something you weave into your day-to-day.

Imagine getting a knock on your door after dusk. It’s a woman in her 80s holding two hiking poles and carrying a backpack. She asks if she can pitch her tent in your garden for the night. She explains that she is a long-distance hiker and she’s known as ‘the Old Lady on the Trail’. And yes, she is alone and no, she is not afraid.
Today’s guest is 82-year-old, Mary E Davison. She is a grandmother of 10, an author, a pastor & trekker with an impressive resume. Mary took up long-distance hiking at 60 and has since achieved The Triple Crown, walking the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and Continental Divide Trail (totalling 12,520km). All in all, Mary has traversed the most scenic, demanding & diverse trails in North America.
In this conversation, we talk to Mary about what it’s like to defy the stereotype of what an old lady can achieve. She shares stories from 60 years ago, when she was in the Peace Corps & found herself travelling alone in her 20s in Egypt - an experience that taught her to be courageous all throughout her life.
This conversation is so much more than an elderly woman doing an extraordinary thing. It is also about how you can learn to leave fear behind in pursuit of your own adventure.

We had the pleasure to sit down & speak with Christopher Venter - an Adventurer, Author & Speaker, who at the age of 40 lost his sight completely.
But instead of letting blindness stop him from leading a full life, it’s been the opposite. Almost a decade on since losing his sight, Chris climbs mountains, kayaks, drives unlikely vehicles & had even built his own house!
In this conversation you’ll hear his backstory, his motivations, mindset, and the challenges he faces and how he experiences the world as a blind adventurer.
Thank you for being here, thank you for listening. Please subscribe to the show, spread the word of our podcast, so we can continue to grow this community and help inspire more people!

This week we sit down to chat to the awe-inspiring, Steph Jeavons from Wales, who is the first person to circumnavigate the globe and ride a motorbike on all seven continents. She did it all on a relatively small motorbike ‘Rhoda the Honda’ and her adventure took her to 54 countries over 4 years.
In this conversation, Steph shares all about her personal journey that led her to be the kind of person that undertake such an impressive expedition… and it is not the path that most people would ever assume. It was her past of drug addiction and a jail sentence that ultimately led Steph to change her life around and pursue a life of freedom and adventure.
So of course, as well as speaking with her about her epic expedition, we talk about the mental fortitude that it took for her to change her life around and become the courageous woman she is today.

This week’s guests are Roseann & Jonathan Hanson who are, amongst many things, accomplished writers, photographers, artists, biologists, and explorers. They have spent 35 years taking on some epic overlanding expeditions all over the world. In fact, Jonathan has co-authored a book that many regard the ‘Bible of Expedition Travel’. They are also the founders of the highly respected Overlanding Expo and now the new upcoming Explorations Quarterly Magazine (which by the way, as a listener, you’ll get an exclusive discount with the code ‘Adventure’ once they launch. Join their waiting list here: https://www.exploringoverland.com/explorationquarterly
In this conversation, we talk about:
Their work and relationship to the natural world, as conservationists & biologists. What it means to be a naturalist and why this work is important. Some good old-fashioned adventure stories, like the time they have to flee from a van load of bandits armed with AK47s. We also talk about creativity and mindset; and why it’s important to keep reading and exploring new ideas and crafts, and skills.📚BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ROSEANN & JONATHAN

Hello from Nepal! This week we are joined by @ClaireandPeter, a young couple from the US that was living a settled life, working in finance. Peter enjoyed life's routine and had no real burning desire to travel until Claire suggested they save up so that they could quit their jobs and go on a big epic backpacking world trip.
In that first year they backpacked to over 20 countries and documented their adventures on TikTok & Instagram, which led them to grow a community of over 500 million people across their social media platforms. They've now caught the travel bug and have just embarked on Year 2 of their backpacking adventure.
Claire & Peter have had articles written about them but this is the first time they’ve given an interview to share their story. In this conversation, we talk about what they’ve learned from a year of travel, including some hilarious stories of ‘budget travel gone wrong’, as well as life advice for anyone wanting to take the plunge and do the same. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as us!

This week's episode is a little different. It is Adam's interview on the award-winning 'Off the Beat & Track' podcast, hosted by Stu Whiffen who happens to be a long-time YouTube subscriber of ours!
We love the format of Stu's show where he chats to guests about the music that has soundtracked their journey to date. But not just any guests, Stu has interviewed the most high-profile & respected guests that you can imagine! Actors, musicians, DJs, comedians... and somehow now Adam and I.

Surprise! Whilst we’re busy climbing a volcano here in Indonesia, we thought we schedule this surprise bonus mid-week episode from our conversation with mega impressive and experienced through hiker, Alison Young (Ep 41). Allison has hiked over 19,000 km mostly in her 50s so it's fair to say she knows her stuff!
