Episode 24 of the KYP Podcast is Peter Bond. Coach Bond finished his first season as the Head Coach at Azusa Pacific University. Before the quarantine, his team finished 25-4 and 20-2 in conference. During Bond's 11 years as an assistant to former head coach, he helped lead Azusa Pacific to a 242-110 record (.688) with eight 20-win seasons and six national tournament appearances (three NCAA, three NAIA). In his second year on the coaching staff, the Cougars finished as 2010 NAIA national runner-up, and Azusa Pacific advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in the program's first year after completing the NCAA Division II membership transition. This podcast, we will go over family, faith and running a high level basketball program.

Episode 22 of the KYP Podcast is Coach David Grace. Coach Grace spent 20 years serving in our military before retiring. He got into coaching and immediately moved up the ranks. He started his coaching career coaching AAU for Boo Williams. He then coached high school basketball in Arizona where he won a state championship. Before getting into college basketball he also coached full time with the Compton Magic. In College he has coached at Sacramento State, San Francisco State and Oregon State. He also coached at UCLA where he was responsible for recruiting dozens of NBA players including Lonzo Ball, TJ Leaf and Aaron Holiday. After UCLA he coached at University of California. His last coaching stop was at Vanderbilt university coaching under NBA legend Jerry Stackhouse. Episode 19 of the KYP Podcast is Gus Argenal. Coach Argenal is the associate Head Coach at Cal State University. He is entering his 17th season as a college basketball coach. Before going to CSUF he coached at University of Reno. He helped them reach the sweet 16 and coached several NBA players. He was the Head Coach for four seasons as the head coach of the Cal State East Bay. Prior to being named the head coach at Cal State East Bay he has been an assistant coach for several schools including, Rice, UC Davis, Chico State, UT San Antonio, UC Davis and Arizona State. Argenal, a college point guard played at UC Davis and still holds the Aggies single game record with 13 assists. His senior season he topped the Aggies in assists and steals and helped the 2003-04 team post and 18-9 record. He received his undergraduate degree in history from UCD in 2004 and earned a masterâs degree in education from Arizona State in 2005. Coach Argenal is a master communicator and coach. Listen as he breaks down life on the move and working with numerous NBA and pro players.

Episode 18 of the KYP Podcast is Tim Shelton. Coach Shelton is beginning his third year as assistant coach at Fresno State. Shelton was named an Under Armour 30-under-30 honoree by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) earlier in May 2018, which annually recognizes the best 30 coaches under the age of 30. Before Fresno State Coach Shelton was a beloved player and coach at San Diego State University. Shelton played for San Diego State from 2007-12. In those five seasons, Shelton played in 109 games and played a key role in SDSU reaching the postseason in each of those years, including three consecutive NCAA appearances to close out his career. He also played with several NBA players including Kawhi Leonard. In this podcast, he will detail his career as a player including suffering two micro fracture knee surgeries. He will talk about his development as a coach and what it takes to be a great player and a great teammate.

Scott Waterman is the Head Coach at Academy of Art in San Francisco. Coach Waterman has been coaching in the college ranks for the last 14 years. He has coached at several places including Division 1 schools Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton and Dartmouth. Including going to the NCAA tournament with CSUF and LBST. He has also coached at Pomona Pitzer and Dominican University. Eric Glass is the Head Coach or the Miami Heatâs G league affiliate the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the player development coach for the Miami Heat. John Smith is the Head Basketball Coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Prior to Cal Poly SLO Coach Smith has had a successful tenure coaching in college at Cal State Fullerton. His junior college coaching record stands at 265-118 (.692). In 2016, the California Community College Menâs Basketball Coaches Association inducted Smith into its Hall of Fame for his outstanding work in building both San Bernardino Valley College and Riverside College programs and leading each to the state tournament and winning a state championship at RCC. The Riverside native talks about playing for legendary coaches such at Coach Bartee at JW North and Coach Tarkanian at UNLV.
