As a person who likes to tap into the creative space and make things, AI is hot topic. We’ve all seen the amazing near real life audio/video that baffle our brains. Many of us have also seen the crazy insanity of the hallucinations AI can have. Its an “art form” in itself if looked at through that lens. I have used tech to take pics/videos and make music for a very long time. And I will eventually get a handle on how I can use AI in an artistic way. Because it is amazing!! But if my focus is to make “lifelike” art then I think I’m done. If I’ve learned anything from online marketing its always been about finding your Venn diagram of skills and using it to help people.
I don’t know if what I’m doing accomplishes that, but I do know that what I share is unique and I’m getting to share from a place thats mine. Its hand crafted, raw output seasoned with life experience and its beautiful on its own accord.
Like I said, I am starting to enter the AI world of “AI as a tool” to deliver everything I have dreamed about. The time is right now. We are in the vortex of change and none of us can control the”how” of it. All we can do is marvel at our own brilliance and focus on our inspired goals because they contain the most intimate experience of GOD that we’ll ever have in this lifeform. And its our privilege and duty to share them with all!

It was profound hearing it come out of my daughter’s mouth as she explained what her and her friend saw while sitting in little plastic chairs staring into the afternoon sky.
But I heard something that registered with some deep part of me. So I started a new journal entry which turned into a song which I inserted into a video I was working on and, well, here ya go. This is what I do.

Here’s my latest update.
Letting you into some of the deep darker elements in my unfolding journey to wholeness.
Wow! That makes it sound so much better :)
Pretty grateful to have been able to complete this months podcast. It is a wee bit darker but really starting to put some pieces together so I hope you get something out of it as well.
Cheers,

Thanks for listening.
Today is a shorter one (15ish min) and exactly as advertised…although calling it a “musical” might be a stretch in the traditional sense. However, it does focus on those 3 things.
Hope you enjoy for all it is.

Welcome to the June LFM Podcast!
I’m sharing a personal story that had a lasting affect on me but was also not the beginning. I skip to some rockbound memories and my first experiences with playing while no one is watching!
For that friend who never reads these things but might get something out of it.
I’ll only bug you once every Friday!

I’ve missed two weeks of posting for Dark Sequins On The Heart. I barely pulled this podcast off but I really want to, and my future needs me to find the way.

Talking with two long time friends who have both made songs that remind me of a time period in my own life. We discuss playing music as a musician, a fan and the process of writing real, heartfelt, honest songs. I sprinkled in some musical bits from a compilation called “Pieces” I did in the early 2000’s. The editing is rough as I’ve reached the deadline but I hope you enjoy for what it is.

Welcome to episode II.
This week I get into a broad discussion on music and his career as a drummer with my good friend Lyle Povah.
* For over 30 years, he has brought his drumming to kids and families at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
* He's an international musician, drum circle facilitator, yoga teacher
* He's ran in the Boston and Great Wall of China marathons, and completed the "Vancouver 100" ultramarathon. Thats 100km?
* Presented at TedX Stanley Park
He’s a genuine, caring person with a big heart and a youthful spirit that uplifts any situation he finds himself in.
I’m so happy to have him in my life and I hope you enjoy this longer episode.
More about what Lyle does and his upcoming BC tour adventure can be found at:

And here we go…
The main driving force of Last Friday’s Music podcast is simply to share and connect, much like the weekly Dark Sequins On The Heart newsletter. With “Who” and to “What”, is part of the experiment. Essentially I’m doing this for me. It’s very self-ish but in a good, “put your own air mask on first” sort of way. I used to have a problem with that but I realize now that feeling in-tune, in-sync, looking for a deeper understanding of things etc, is not only useless if insular, it has the potential to spawn delusional thinking, imbalanced complexes and possibly megalomaniacal behavior. And other than the latter which may be an interesting experience (would anyone tell me?)🤴🏻 these are not identifiers I’d like to be cancelled by. The very act of sharing what’s been lifting and lighting me up all these years opens the door to what I really want which is simply, connection.
What I’m sharing here are small samples of a journey still being revealed. I’m weaving together elements of an unshared portion of my journey. I haven’t been living a hermetic lifestyle but I have kept my cards fairly close to the chest and by sharing the words I’ve written, with music I’ve made, and pictures I’ve taken, I’m showing my hand…er…my heart. Maybe both?
I’ve been spending some time recently going through all my music files, most of which never get finished. Some pieces have been around for years and then one day I’ll come in, add some words or and instrument and it magically keeps the music alive and often will alter it altogether, usually for the better. But I tend to move fairly quickly so it’s either working or I move on.
I’ve also been sifting through old bits of poetry and writings and adding them to old and new music. It’s been a fun process that gives old thoughts a new feel and old music new energy. In this podcast I may make comments on the music and words and in later live events I’ll be doing things in real time or with guests which will add another freaky (for me) element to this process of sharing.
As always thanks for listening and I hope you get some value from what I’m doing.
Please share this with anyone you think would enjoy this type of content.
