On this the fourth leg, of the first journey on let's say I'm talking about dogs, Jonas is travelling with Dr. Hannah Capon, who is ,without a doubt, one of the main voices when talking about our dogs suffering from pain.
Hannah is a first opinion veterinary surgeon in the UK and in 2013 she founded CAM - Canine Arthritis Management. Since then she has not stopped, in her effort, to inform and educate veterinary colleagues, other profesionals in the dog industry and people living together with dogs in general. She is travelling all over the world, giving lectures and conferencies.
And just a few weeks ago, Hannah gave us another amazing resource for finding out more and getting to know canine arthritis better. Together with Dr. Kristin Kirby Shaw, she is hosting the podcast Canine Arthritis Matters, that can be found on all major podcast platforms.Hannah has been awarded and recognised for her work and, for example, in 2020 she was awarded the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Impact Award.

Hello there and welcome to leg 2, of this the first journey, of 'letās say Iām talking about dogs'.
On this leg, Jonas is accompanied by Kim Brophey, an applied ethologist, working out of North Carolina (US), but the easiest way to find out about Kim and her work is going to familydogmediation.com
Kim has been in the industry since the mid 90ās and for the last 20 years she has been a clear ground breaker.
Kim created the L.E.G.S.Ā® model (L.E.G.S.Ā® is the acronym for Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self.) and is now offering the L.E.G.S.Ā® Applied Ethology. Family Dog MediationĀ® Professional Course. When enrolling, make sure to use the coupon code ā jonas- to get a 40% off, as a listener to this podcast. You will also find interesting bundle offers.
Kim is also the author of the book āMeet Your Dog: The Game Changing Guide to Understanding Your Dogās Behaviorā. A book that, in Jonasā personal opinion, is essential for anyone that is sharing their life with a dog.
Here is leg 2, of the first journey, of āletās say Iām talking about dogsā. A conversation between Kim and Jonas, around the topic of us having to step up as dog companions and/or dog professionals. They also talk about the change we have to make, in our approach towards how to help our dogs to cope and manage to live in our modern society.
When listening, you will notice that Kim has a very down to earth and to the point way of expressing what she thinks. Something Jonas values a lot and hope that you do to.

Dr. Jessica Pierce, bioethicist, philosopher and writer, is without a doubt one of the biggest influences Jonas has had on the way he looks at, acts with and tries to treat his dogs.
Jessicaās book - āRun, Spot, Runā ā which Jonas read in 2017, had a huge impact on him and changed a lot in his approach towards dogs. Then he has read more of Jessicaās work, own or together with Dr. Marc Bekoff. Jessica also has a blog, called āAll dogs go to heavenā on Psychology Today.
This, leg 1 on the first journey on āletās say Iām talking about dogsā, is a conversation between Jessica and Jonas around her latest book āWhoās a good dog?ā. What that means and our language and views on how to live with dogs, in todayās modern society.
