I got to speak with Sarah Dudek of Indestructible Food - A project in which Sarah draws and writes about the history, and community of nonperishable fare. Indestructible food sits at the crossroads of nutrition, science, advertising, and flavor. For this project, She drew shelf-stable food, researched it, and wrote about it. Sarah is also a screen printer, illustrator, food fanatic, and lecturer of Marketing Management and Creative Entrepreneurship.
We got to speak about how and why she started Indestructible Food and where the inspiration came from. I got to speak with Mark and Ryan about why they started and how they started giving out food to the food insecure at the park and moved to become a nonprofit and partner with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide food to the folks in Sanford, FL, and Seminole County for over 14 years.

I got the chance to speak with Sarah Fanok and Steven Johnson the owners behind Imagine Performing Arts Center, a place where creativity and inclusivity intertwine! They offer diverse dance and performing arts classes for all ages, providing an extraordinary platform for self-expression. They provide a welcoming and supportive environment, everyone is cherished, and take pride in offering classes for friends with Special Needs, ensuring every individual can shine.
I spoke to Sarah and Steven about how they met, how they started as Imagine Dance and later grew and became Imagine Performing Arts Center. We discussed their transition, as well as, what they offer.
We spoke about their location being in the Oviedo Mall and the good and hard parts to running a studio. We spoke about how they offer Special Needs classes and the importance of inclusion, as well as, their Homeschool Program.

I got the chance to speak with Ashlee Potter the owner and leather smith behind Wandering Ash Tree a brand of durable handmade goods that are accessible to all. These products create a timeless aesthetic that fits seamlessly into any lifestyle and allows the proud owners of Wandering Ash Tree designs to tell their own stories as the leather gracefully ages.
I chatted with Ashlee about how and why she decided to work with leather and create leather goods. How it was living and driving around in her 2011 Ford Transit while selling across 5 states. We also spoke about her love for coffee and reading. We also discussed how Ashlee handles having dysautonomia along with going to school, working, and creating leather goods.

I got to spend a lunch break with Steve Monroe, the owner, creator and screen printer behind Toxic Roots, a clothing brand inspired by living 20+ years in a neighborhood built on top of a former WWII military dumpsite in the South Patrick Shores area of Satellite Beach. We all have Toxic baggage. Physical, emotional, environmental, or traumatic these Toxic Roots shape who we are. Our goal is to highlight these issues through art, humor, and a dash of sarcasm.
I spoke to Steve about what made him want to start the brand based on living on Florida's little beachside dump. We spoke about the moment he realized he had a brand there. We spoke about the themes of his brand. We also spoke about how people have taken on the Life is Toxic and what has been the best and hardest parts about running a brand.
Steve spoke about how he uses what he finds to create art as well as how they travel around the state to sell - Toxic Roots.
