Joining us in this special episode of Chatting with Chuck is Jim Imhof, the Sales Director for Glock Watches. He will share the extraordinary fusion of two worlds you might never have imaginedâthe world of firearms and watches.
Jim brings a wealth of experience, having spent 45 years in the watch business, including stints with brands like Boulevard, Citizen, and Seiko. For the past decade, heâs been an integral part of Bering Watches, a company with a 14-year history.
In this episode, we discuss the remarkable history of Bering Watches, their commitment to quality, and the influence of their owner, Michael Witt. Youâll discover that Glockâs entry into watch manufacturing is a dedication to upholding Glockâs rigorous standards, just as they do with their firearms. Theyâre designed to withstand wear and tear, which makes them a smart choice for those who demand the best.
Initially, Bering Watches primarily catered to a female audience, but they have expanded their offerings and have 700 active accounts in the US.
So, how did Bering Watches and Glock Watches come together? The Glock family, with its roots in the jewelry business, sought to create special project watches. When the task proved challenging, Michael Witt was called upon for his expertise, and thus, the partnership began.
Glock watches offer a range of movements, including Swiss-made Rhonda movements, Seiko automatic movements, and solar movements.
Jim reveals that all these Glock watches are set to hit the market soon, and it already has a substantial network of accounts lined up, including independent owner-operators.
If youâre interested in exploring the opportunity to become a prospective retailer, sales representative, or ambassador, tune in now and discover more about Glock Watches from Jim Imhof here.

Welcome to Pearls of Wisdom! In this episode of âChatting with Chuck,â our special guest, Shelia Bayes of Gem + Jewel, will share her journey in the jewelry industry and what she has accomplished so far to help other jewelers.
Her first step in the industry began in Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked for a jewelry business while attending the University of Kentucky. After nearly a decade of experience, she boldly opened her store, and this year marks her impressive 30th anniversary! With no prior family background in the industry, her story is indeed an inspiration to all aspiring jewelers.
Her passion for connecting with people and celebrating lifeâs special moments through jewelry is evident in her incredible journey. Sheâs witnessed the industryâs evolution from green books and landline phones to the digital age of e-commerce.
Speaking of e-commerce, Sheila witnessed how many jewelers struggle with building and maintaining online stores and was determined to change that. In a groundbreaking move, she founded Gem + Jewel in 2018, an award-winning e-commerce aggregator. This platform provides solutions for those struggling with online sales intricacies. It makes e-commerce more accessible for retailers, vendors, and consumers.
Whatâs even more exciting is the accessibility of this platform to Jewelers Mutual Insurance policyholders. For a mere $69 a month, retailers can start their e-commerce business without the hefty upfront costs, with the platform taking a modest 10% commission only when a sale is made. If you think thatâs impressive, wait until you hear more from Sheila Bayes .
Tune in now and donât miss this episode to gain invaluable insights into jewelry and e-commerce. Join us as we Chat with Chuck and Shelia Bayes of Gem + Jewel.

The core of this episode revolves around the burning question: Why should companies on the verge of growth consider investing in a booth at the Atlanta Jewelry Show? Fran and Amy reveal the countless benefits.
Beyond the shows, the team continues to support exhibitors with product launches, holiday deals, and customized advertising options. As they shared, a connection that price wars donât easily sway.
They also share their experiences and appreciation for the #SoHo or the âSouthern Hospitalityâ charm of the Atlanta Jewelry Show.
They paint a clear picture of the eventâs schedule, starting with an education day on Friday, followed by an icebreaker event. Saturday marks the main show day for buyers and exhibitors to connect. Thereâs even a unique featureâearly bird appointments for exclusive interactions between buyers and vendors!

Katelynne is a third-generation jeweler of Sugar Plum Fine Jewelry. This jewelry store has served its community for a solid decade and offers a full-service experience with a sharp focus on custom pieces and top-notch repairs.
She originally thought sheâd be an English major, destined for a career in editing books. But life had other plans, and she ended up professionally engaged in fine jewelry for over 15 years.
