On this day 36 years ago we lost the seven crew members on board the Space Shuttle Challenger. This production was made in their honor. A tribute to our great scientific achievements, a humility toward the mysteriousness of our world and an appeal to a philosophy of ignorance.
We are guided through this tribute by none other than the man who demonstrated the reason why the accident happened, Nobel Prize winning physicist Richard Feynman. A brilliantly flawed, profound, and eccentric character who serves as the perfect protagonist.
Science today is often used as a noun synonymous with truth. My hope is that by the end of this piece, that audiences learn what science is from one of its chief practitioners. It is for this reason why it’s of the utmost importance to release this now.
