Consciousness exercise & body neutrality.
Body neutrality: The body neutrality movement is a perspective and approach that focuses on appreciating what the body can do rather than how it looks. It's a shift away from placing a strong emphasis on appearance, whether positive or negative, and towards a more neutral, accepting attitude towards the body. The movement aims to reduce the importance of physical appearance in self-evaluation and encourages individuals to value themselves for qualities and abilities unrelated to their physical appearance.
BOOKS ABOUT BODY NEUTRALITY THAT I AM EXPLORING:
(I do not get commission from these, just sharing)
Body Neutrality by Jessi Kneeland
More than a body: Your body is an instrument, not an ornament by Lexie Kite and Lindsay Kite

Happy new year! Today, as promised weeks ago, let’s talk about red flags in relationships. I’m also going to talk about John Gottman’s work a bit later in this episode. He is a renowned relationship expert who has done a lot of research on what makes relationships work, and equally, what can erode the foundation of a relationship.
Thank you for listening!💗

Today I’d like to discuss values VS feelings as it relates to relationships. I shared that in the past I have gotten myself into some sticky situations because I allowed my feelings to always sway my decisions and that I assigned meaning to how I was feeling. In the episode, love at first sight, I conveyed how I assigned meaning to my experience, thinking that this person I felt tremendous feelings for might reciprocate one day and we would be in a relationship together. Turns out nothing ever came of the situation. Nothing was there. My emotions were not the truth of the situation. If I could time travel back to that situation and rely upon my current values, or standards, which is that I have to see actionable steps and reciprocating behaviors from a possible love interest instead of getting carried away in my feelings, then I might not have suffered from so much obsession and limerence in that scenario.
Relying on values more instead of emotions means making decisions and responding to situations based on your core principles and beliefs, rather than being primarily driven by your immediate feelings. This approach emphasizes rationality, consistency, and long-term perspectives over the transient and often fluctuating nature of emotions.
I also discuss preferences VS values.

Exploring Unlived Lives, Movie Recommendations, & 5 regrets of the dying.
GRR is supposed to mean guilt, remorse, and regret, btw. I messed up. :)
An "unlived life" refers to a concept of potential experiences, paths, or choices that a person could have pursued but did not. These can include career paths, relationships, hobbies, or lifestyles that were considered but never realized. The idea often carries a sense of regret or longing, as individuals may ponder how their lives might have differed if they had made different choices. It's a reflection on the possibilities that were not explored due to various reasons such as fear, societal expectations, or simply the circumstances of one's life. This concept is closely tied to introspection and the human tendency to wonder about "what could have been."

Early this week I realized what I was going to talk to you guys about because I literally felt SO fired up after watching the documentary on Prime called Desperately Seeking Soulmate: Escaping Twin Flames Universe, which is a documentary that focuses on exposing Jeff and Shaleia, the owners of Twin Flames Universe, as a cult.
Quick trigger warning. If you are new to my podcast, I would like to take this moment to explain that I am not coming from a pro-twin flame stance, which may be triggering if you are clinging to the twin flame concept in your own life. I have episodes on why I do not openly accept the twin flame dynamic based on my own experiences. I try to stay open minded, but as the saying goes, experience is the greatest teacher. If you’re curious about my experiences, I highly recommend listening to episodes 3 and 18.
So, Twin flames universe, let’s get into it. I’m really really excited to share my thoughts with you on this.
Thank you so much for being here with me! I value all of you.
Go watch the documentary for yourself here

Since Friday is ruled by Venus I wanted to do an episode on 4 pieces of relationship advice that have stuck with me since I began my journey with relationship OCD. Also, even if you are not in a relationship, the advice given here can be applied to any dynamic.
Next week, October 6th, there will not be a new episode!

Emotional pain can mean peeling back layers to meet the root of our discomfort. In today’s episode we navigate why some thoughts and emotions are superficial, or the tip of the iceberg, regarding the source of our feelings. I also give an exercise I’ve used to help discover the underlying belief or emotion, layer by layer.
