This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Kirtida
Kirtida Oza was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, a rare rheumatic condition, after 13 long years of struggling with her symptoms in 2002. She experienced sudden fevers, respiratory problems, burning blurry eyes, dental problems and had a weak immunity. Sjogren is an autoimmune condition, which progresses with age.
Kirtida is truly a champion who has battled all curveballs life throws her way. With her steely determination and zest for life, she started Sjogren India, a support group for patients battling this debilitating disease in India. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Ishani
The Covid - 19 pandemic's second wave in India has caused unprecedented devastation.
In these times, we bring to you the story of Ishani - a Covid-19 warrior, who battled the infection and emerged victorious.
18-year old Ishani experienced severe symptoms like cough, body ache and high fever. She was in isolation. Slowly and steadily, with timely medical treatment, nutritious diet and rest, she recovered. Ishani's story is one of hope, resilience and healing. -

This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Pooja
A corporate professional, Pooja Kochar started blogging to pursue her passion. However, when she was pregnant in her early thirties, she faced pregnancy complications and subsequently, postpartum depression.
Her journey as a new mother resulted in her establishing her digital venture 'iMOM' which helps mothers streamline their homegrown brands online. Her will to overcome hurdles and her passion truly make her a champion. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Priya Bhargava
Priya was diagnosed with Lupus at the tender age of 19. The progression of the disease caused deterioration of her physical and mental health. But, she fought it all with utmost courage and bravery.
Her story is one of sheer grit and determination. Priya was crowned Miss India Wheelchair 2015 and was also conferred the prestigious Naari Pratibha Puraskar in 2017 by the Govt of India. She is a true champion who with her strength has braved all odds. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Sahithi Mannar
Sahithi is a sexual abuse survivor and activist, who was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after a deep personal loss in her early 20s. Her earlier experiences further contributed to deterioration of her mental health.
She sought therapy, and focused on her passion for Kuchipudi to recover from her diagnosis. Today, she is a writer, a mental health advocate and a clinical psychologist in the making. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms. Rohini Sharma
Rohini Sharma, was diagnosed with the debilitating condition of Trigeminal Neuralgia in her mid thirties. As a working professional, it was extremely difficult for her to manage her diagnosis as it adversely affected her physical and mental health.
This diagnosis meant multiple visits to the doctor and also entailed heavy dosage of medicines. After four years of medical treatment, she is now focusing on lifestyle changes to help her manage the diagnosis. Rohini is a true fighter, whose health story is a true reflection of her courage and strength. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Mrs. Neetu Wadhwa
Neetu was diagnosed in 2009 with Scleroderma which is a Chronic Rheumatic Condition. Her symptoms were visible from 2006 and her diagnosis journey was full of trials, resulting in multiple doctor visits with varying symptoms starting from Acid Reflux, Breathing issues, Joint pains, Swelling in fingers, and Blue fingers.
Scleroderma is an incurable autoimmune condition, and hence she had to manage the symptoms effectively with medical intervention. With adequate medical attention and effective lifestyle changes, today, she has emerged a triumphant hero, who is challenging her diagnosis and the limitations it comes with as a true warrior. She is also the founder of Scleroderma India, an advocacy group generating awareness about the condition. -
This week on SheSlays we have with us, Ms Pankhuri Srivastava.
Pankhuri is a 19 year old student, pursuing Psychology Honours in Delhi.
Pankhuri was recovering from a major leg fracture when she tested positive for Covid 19. This diagnosis was shocking for her as she was already immobilized because of the fracture. With the positive diagnosis, she had to further quarantine herself. The difficult road to recovery also took a toll on her mental health.
She also battled through second-degree burns in this time period.
Her unparalleled courage and strength were tested, but she championed through all these struggles and emerged victorious.

This week on SheSlays we have with us, Mrs. Nagalakshmi Sivaramakrishnan
Nagalakshmi is a mother of two, and a working professional based out of Delhi. A decade ago, she suffered a severe slip disc. For several months, she was on near-bed rest. She had to take care of her son, who was a toddler then and had to also maintain a balance between her work life.
She battled this painful condition for nearly two years. Physiotherapy and lifestyle changes helped her battle her diagnosis. She is a true champion whose determination to stay fit made her health journey inspiration to many around her.

Malavika is a 22 year old student, who battled PCOS, during her teenage years. Malavika experienced extremely irregular menstrual cycles, mood swings and weight issues.
But, Malavika fought her diagnosis with grit and determination. She adopted a holistic approach and combined Ayurveda with balanced diet and a strict workout regime. Today, she lives her life to the fullest, and has proved that with courage and bravery, we can win anything battle in life.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Varnita Paliwal.
Varnita experienced debilitating panic attacks during her teenage years. Failure in an examination and the breakdown of a relationship precipitated this Anxiety. However, her situation got much better after she sought help for anxiety. Having been through anxiety and depression, she now is a Mental Health Warrior who blogs about mental Health. She is working towards dismantling misconceptions associated with this topic and aims to spread valuable information about the same.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Gauri Gupta.
Gauri Gupta is a 20 year old student, who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida: Myelomeningocele, at birth. This diagnosis meant that the wheelchair was her constant companion, and growing up, she faced several hurdles due to the same.
She overcame all hurdles and now is studying at Lady Shri Ram College. She is a disability rights activist, who fiercely advocates against ableism and is a catalyst of change in the movement demanding more accessibility for people with different abilities.

After emerging triumphant from a difficult childhood, Anchal was diagnosed with Stage - 3 Breast Cancer, on her birthday. For a woman in her thirties, it was a big setback. But Anchal battled her diagnosis with courage, and today is a proud cancer fighter- who runs her foundation Cancer to Life and also is the founder of Meals of Happiness - an organisation that has provided food and nutrition to more than 2 million people. Anchal is a true fighter, who overcame all odds, with determination, will power and sheer courage.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Simran Pujara.
Simran is a 22 year old student residing in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. She was diagnosed with Intellectual Deficiency early on in her childhood. Simran, and her mother, Kavita Pujara, who shares this story of true determination and grit with us, battled all obstacles that came their way and emerged victorious. Today, Simran is an excellent Badminton player, who has been training to participate in the Special Olympics. Her story is immensely inspirational, teaching us how even in there is always a silver lining and that life can be beautiful even in the face of adversity. -
This week on She Slays, we have with us Saloni Shah. Saloni is a mother of two children, who faced unprecedented difficulty in her second pregnancy. She was diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which meant that her pregnancy was extremely difficult to detect and that there could be complications during childbirth. She had severe pain and extreme vomiting, owing to which her doctor advised her to terminate the pregnancy. However, she fought all odds and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Nirvaan. Today, Saloni is a super mom, thriving in all spheres of life.

This week on She Slays, we have with us, Sandhya Krishnan. Sandhya was diagnosed with Tuberculosis, at a time when she least expected it. The early diagnosis helped her to seek effective treatment for TB. Her experiences as a TB survivor, allowed her to reflect and today, she is a TB awareness Advocate.
Sandhya is a certified mind and wellness coach, who has inspired several people to embark on the journey towards the betterment of their health.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Sanika Devdikar. Sanika was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 2012. Early diagnosis and effective therapy helped her take affirmative action.
After four years of therapy and counselling, at the age of 20, she started her commercial art journey and there has been no looking back since. She is also an acclaimed photographer and has worked for Dove and Getty images. Sanika has also started her own initiative 'Hrudayaantar' which encourages conversations about mental health, with the motive to spread the message of kindness.

This week on She Slays, we have with us, Tanisha Roy. Tanisha was diagnosed with Cancer in 2018 when what was supposed to be a minor salivary gland tumour, turned out to be malignant. The early diagnosis helped her take curative action. However, her bodily changes and the subsequent negativity she faced from those around her, caused her to be diagnosed with major depression. She then persevered and embarked on her fitness journey. A year and a half later, she has crowned Mrs India and has won two other prestigious beauty pageants since.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Paromita Gupta, who was only 10 years old when she was diagnosed with Alopecia, an autoimmune disease causing hair loss.
Alopecia Areata is a condition which has no known cure, and thus, there is a lot of misinformation surrounding the treatment for it. Although Paromita was bullied and mocked for being bald growing up, today she takes pride in her appearance and is inspiring others.

This week on She Slays, we have with us Niharika Kaim who is a fighter, having battled Depression and PCOD.
Niharika was fresh out of law college when she was diagnosed with PCOD. The condition caused her to gain weight and eventually led to depression, taking a toll on her personal and professional life. Eventually, she made a tremendous lifestyle change, which caused her to lose weight, and caused an improvement in her PCOD-related symptoms. She says for her, an exercise is a form of therapy. Today, she leads a healthier life and spreads awareness about women's healthcare.
